Effective immediately, I wish to announce my formal resignation from the post of Public Relations Representative for the New Venal Alliance (NVA).
I henceforth disassociate all future comment, analysis, opinion, conjecture, rhetoric and misc. communication from the interests and responsibility of the New Venal Alliance.
From this point forward my voice is my own, and until I take another professional Public Relations role with a formal political entity, it is my intention speak without let or hinderence on such issues that might amuse and divert me without heed of allied consequence.
Of the reasons for my resignation I will say only this; that it had become clear that my many enemies and stalkers in the sphere of public debate were making practical disemination of useful information near impossible.
Such indeed is the hatred of my face and voice in some quarters that any words I spoke were immediately drowned out by racous cries of brute antithesis.
Not, I think you will agree, either an enviable or indeed viable situation.
My new independence will afford possibilies however, and in the days to come you may be sure I will consider my options most carefully.
I wish all the best of course to the New Venal Alliance and the corps so joined in glorous camaraderie against the encroaching darkness.
It is meet and fitting both that such a bold company of heroes should survive the birthing hands of its founders ... how else that the dream of freedom wrought in blood and sacrifice be passed from past to future and the promise of brighter times to come?

This is truly a sad day for the New Venal Alliance. It appears that our public voice, defender, and (unfortunately) target has finnaly sucumbed to the pressures of that easily scrutinized and critisized position. A position that is not only public relations, but the public defence of the very cause that is the protection of our homes. And Jade has practically written the book on how to do this. I am sure that allies and enemies alike would vote Jade as the most dedicated, well written and politically savy alliance representative EVE has ever seen.

The voice of an organization is often targeted for its faults, and it is hard not to take them personally on some level. Especially when your personna is SO linked to that very organization. I also know that the foes of the NVA are some of the most vocal and inflamatory people in EVE. For your feverish devotion to the NVA and its pricepals, we all owe you a debt of gratitude.
Personal note:
When I informed Oberon members that we were considering joining the NVA, most could not tell me what direction Venal was, but they all knew about Jade Constantine. The common responses i recieved were "Cool, that's the alliance with Jade, huh? I really enjoy reading her posts. Best stuff on the forums."
Jade, I wish you the best of luck on any endeavor you may turn your attention to.

Sad day for the NVA... Anyway a proof that the NVA is really a democratic entity since it can change its leader.
Now there is the big question: who will replace Jade ? Only a few persons have jade's linguist talents in NVA...

I should point out that I only ever represented the NVA in public relations, alliance negotiation and as a single point of contact for press relations and such. I was never the leader of the NVA whether elected or otherwise.
It was my honour and my pleasure to speak for this bright assembly of comrades-at-arms for a time.
That was glory enough for a mere mortal to endure milady!

I know monsieur Cuisinart, I too wept a quiet tear myself in the dark hours before stationdawn in Gehi system; but all things must change and all bright memories come to a close if we are not to stagnate and become mere parodies of the dreams we once held dear.
My personal name and cause and dreams had become a zealous brand to unify the strange conjoined cousins of the foresaken empire in hatred at the alliance I loved so well.
So great my reputation and infamy it seemed, that callow ghosts of men departed were constant-raised from obscurity to rail anew at all my works and faith besides.
And pitiful display, the work of presentation amidst the cloying crowds of grave-damp hecklers of shallow wit and means lacklustre ... a mundane comedy of farce betimes, and spectacle of limited interest if truth be told full-unadorned without professional reprise monsieur.
So to future works and independence from NVA name m'dear; be full assur'd I'll not soon depart nor spare the crop of quick derision darting thence and there again to redden the buttocks of wayward mooncalf fools from time to time.

To answer, its partly an appreciation of the fact that too many voices raised in constant idiot declamation can always drown out the bravest of solitary epiphets ... and also, an admission that mud does stick, and that if a hundred false accusations are made some will doubtless to be seen to be true regardless of merit.
But beyond m'dear, if I am honest, I must admit that restraint is not my natural state of mind, and I am a passionate and outspoken individual and to be silenced even by devotion to a cause, is to be imprisoned and gagged to mute frustration and abandonment of heart-close principle and fondest personal regard.
I have been a slave and object 'prisoned servant to other thoughts and lusts and hard designs in times before milady, and never again, for truly spoken this, if naught besides; that once a soul has stepped through strange dimensions as a spirit on the path of stars ... there is no going back.
Once in Venal I spoke of "owner-captains" fast united in broad desire for freedom far-unchecked and worthy bold adventure.
Those thoughts impell me yet as once they did, and faster now the urge to speak and laugh and dream and close embrace those wondrous pleasures of thought and flesh and forthright far refrain.
I cannot be silenced milady, it is not in my nature.

Greetings Lady Jade Constantine,
I must say stepping down from the position which you held with no real competition is a bold and wise move on your part. Allthough I have to agree with the others in that your presence in that arena will be missed.
Would just like to say that you did your alliance and this fellow gallentian honor with your ever elegant and proper conduct at least for most of the times. Which is more then you can really ask from a true citizen of the Gallente Federation.
When looking back at your accomplishments you should feel nothing but pride. And this includes the attemptes to discredit you as well. Some show their hate and dislikes of you with a passion some even openly admits it. But as you already pointed out. This are usally from people that already lost and in their lack of sportmanship and better judgement they cater to thier bruised ego and continue and feed their hatred to compensate for their low self esteem. This are usally the one's who uses foul language and threats all aimed to your person. This to me is nothing more then a show of defeat. To lose once cool to the point were all you are capable of is foul words and personal attacks and threats is nothing more then a show of defeat. Which I have seen many examples of.
And then we have another group. A smaller one granted but never the less deserves to be part of your accomplishments of foes who have done nothing else but proven that they are still apprentices in the Arena which you have mastered. They tend to look deeper into your public made actions and speeces and read things I am sure does not even exists. To use as a topic for their socalled "debate". The fact that they have to point out their "RL" occupance and other RL related topics is to me a show of their total lack of skills in properly conducting a discussion to bring the majority of the readers to see their reasoning. By including that they are real life History Experts, Accountants, Directors and so on is just another show of their inability to give their own arguments the strength to stand on its own. But their persistance and continuing actions to open a discussion with you with past events should show you that they consider you a worthy opponent. And they seek to gain your aknowledgement of them as worthy adversaries in your arena. This are usally the type of people who also suffers from low self esteem and who either dont know or choose to ignore that fact. People who usally are well educated and bright but left with a flaw that they need to state that to everyone else and who takes it badly when people "fail" to see this.
Just the 2 isks from a regular grunt whos words are just as simple as the man behind it.

I hope you keep posting. Your one of the best writers here. It is a shame we dont have better writers for the other alliances as we here very little good reads from them. Some roleplaying (calm debate - no flames) would be better from all sides.
While your popularity may of made you and the NVA a popular target, I sometimes wonder if replying to each and every post about yourself or the NVA was necessary as a lot were trolls looking for some food which was all too often given. Worse was the original posts were not even a good read, just mud-slinging (much like the house of commons) with very little true roleplayed debate.
As for posting as alts. I think there should be someway to post only as your main character if it were possible.
here's to hoping my lunchbreak reads will continue to be good

What puzzles me just a little monsieur Elgen, is why, having been extensively disparaged and oftimes routed by my responses in an official capacity for what seems like an eternity now, you would think that I would treat you more kindly now my words are unrestrained by the enforced civility of representing an alliance in political medium?
Baffling ... and one can only assume that you enjoy verbal humiliation to excess and that such things help your pecker to rise more accutely in delicate theatrical intercourse.
Sadly monsieur such things will cost you a lot of money.

I have been holding off on commenting on this thread, simply because I feel all combatants should be allowed to retreat without being molested if they so choose. However, when a said combatant uses the white flag as a platform for more attacks, I feel they must be answered. Jade, you claim to be the victim of a vast group of hateful people that have attacked you and cursed you, yet, the majority of these people that attacked you - including myself, resorted to personal attacks, when, and only when, you and your allies began them against us. Over and over in the forums, you have made charges, you have been answered, and when you don't like the answers, your only response is to begin the name calling, and vitriolic hatred. Yes, sometimes others have joined in. I've joined in. But to stand up and make yourself out to be some sort of victim is disgusting. You started it. You kept it going. You destroyed dozens of innocent people because you simply HAD TO WIN. And when others didn't like, you suddenly couldn't handle what you dished out. The only thing I will give you, is that no matter how dirty a tactic employed by the other side - /I/ should never stoop to that level. If he is so insane, how is it that he managed to create one of the most successful corporations EVE has ever seen, and keep it one for over a year? Even from the darkness of the Endless-TTI war, Ragnar pulled though, with his (at the time) small corp, to become what TTI was at the peak of its success. You started the hostilities on TTI, being your allies at one time, you wanted to expel them from the alliance. Yet, you still blame TTI for everthing. Orwell would disagree with you. Flowery, elaborate speach only confuses the reader and dilutes your message. The smaller simpler word is always best.

I don't know, there is a time and a place for both the simple one liner and eloquent slams. Jade in this thread has provided examples of both. The short in her put down of Yosef and the eloquent in her handling of Elgen. Personally I find it refreshing to see something beyond the 12 year old "STFU N00B!" putdowns.

And, it always depends on your purpose Lianhaun. If you intend to baffle and bewilder, by all means use as many syllables as possible. But, if you actually want to communicate with someone, or convey a point, keep it simple.

The enemy should never know entirely what to expect, and besides; if one is destined to win the debate (as to be honest, any monkey is where Yosef is concerned) it's only good manners to do it with a little style and pannachÚ ...

Secondly; I took several english classes in college, so the words Jade flings out don't phase me one bit - and if I really wanted to, I could turn the threads I post in into english minefields, using such disused words that NO ONE could figure out what I was trying to do, unless they had an english degree, or a unabridged copy of websters sitting next to them.
That's dumb though - and to be completely honest with you, that's the biggest reason I started countering Jade's posts, all those months ago.
To use the kind of language she does, in the places she does it, shows a kind of elitest flare, that quite honestly is quite annoying.

Of course, all it takes is a certain degree of understanding and the "awe factor" disapears. I have always thought that Jade probes the depths of the thesaurus like she does in order to, first, intimidate, and second, alienate.
Intimidate whoever her opponent may be should he/she lack the wit to weave through the web Jade spins, and win friends and allies among the people who are just sitting an watching thorough her apparent domination, thereby alienating her opponent.
Don't get me wrong, I have no gripe with Ms. Constantine, and rather enjoy that she makes her home in Eve. I just find it interesting to observe how public figures manuvere under the spotlight.

I had a similar reaction when I first started reading Jade's posts. But, to each his, or her, own. As long as that particular weapon is not aimed in my direction I see no reason to disarm it.

I would like to point at this post, as a point n case as to Jades almost forum forced decision to step down as NVA pr manager.
Despite putting her heart n soul into this position, and loving it like a mother would love a son, the bottom line is, because of the narrow minded, and angry at heart individuals that dwell on this forum, anything she ever had to announce for the NVA, was derised and battered b4 it had a chance to breath its first breath.
The same people that infest this thread, with petty personal grudges, and patheticly low and useless blows on a characters personality, have done so for months in every NVA related thread that has had Jades word upon it.
There is no big secret as to why she has had to step down, it is simply that he NVA needs to be given a fair chance in its future, and such is the hatred for Jade by a few ill tempered "bed wetters", that she was no longer able to provide this as our PR.
But mark my words, freed from her PR constraints, Jade will have no trouble pinning and wasting anyone that challenges her in the verbal field, in game shes a gun toting rooky, on this forum, she is as hard as a jovian on a killing spree.
Pr is dead, long live ms Jade.

mOo weren't in battleships 2 weeks into the game Yosef. And they weren't in battleships when Taggart payed weregild either. So your example is (as ever) inaccurate and flawed.
But the point remains; once you advocated paying "protection money" to criminals for your peace of mind.
Now you would fight them?
Somehow I find that very difficult to believe.
Anyway, Crice is right to a degree Yosef, you aren't really bringing anything new to this thread (and haven't done since you first posted in it).
And re personal insults ... I never promised to stop using them ;)

Not all of M0o had battleships Jade; several of the higher up members did; remember when they made a big deal about splashing a battleship of another corp in first couple of weeks?
Here's a saying for you, since you seem to be into the spying bit...

So yes, at 2 weeks in, I would consider paying money to M0o to keep them from blowing up the meager resources the corporation I was in had.
Now, when I have battleships, lots of ISK, and a way to realisticly fight them without being set back to "n00b" status in a hurry and waste weeks of work...
If M0o showed up in CFS, they'd get a war from everyone - including me.
Its incredibly simple. TTI had the problem of having no real combat players. So they simply paid everyone off. Or, they used economic power to buy military power. The same way you use your words to try to buy military power for the NVA.
As for you saying you won't stop engaging in personal attacks...
Let me get this straight - you use personal attacks on anyone and everyone that disagrees with you, but when confronted by the same personal attacks on yourself, you go whining and crying to the quitting stand, but have the gall to keep throwing personal attacks at others and COMPLAIN ABOUT THERES?!
