I am tired of performance issues and lag problems. The community is getting so big now, we might as well face the fact that it would be good to split us up. 25K+ players all the time is really making space crowded and small.

stay away from the core systems its pritty simple and u get no lag or even better live in 0.0 easy...

I guess you don't understand the Eve is a LARGE cluster of servers, not just one server. No matter what, there are going to be lag problems until CCP figures out a way to dynamically move systems between server nodes instead of assigning a group of systems to a node at DT. After that they will need to figure out how to have different grids within a system on different server nodes.

I doubt it will ever go that far. Technology improves faster than the Eve player base climbs. Simply giving Jita a more powerful node would help.

no thx, plus why would they even have to bother splitting it they could just add more servers and systems it would be just as effective and keep the oen universe sure you;d still get problems if you went to jita but you know how many times Ive needed togo to jita to buy something, never.

The internationality of EVE is something that is a core part of the game and in game politics. It would be VERY sad to see something like this happen.

The one server fits all (but the politically disabled citizens of a certain country) is what makes EVE special.
I love meeting people from all over the world.
I tasted it first in EQ and I wont miss it. Some people think it is cool to meet the same stooges from the next village every day at the same time. That's okay, it's what they enjoy. But it is just not what I enjoy about being on the internet.

Btw. if you really want to, then go ahead and offer ccp a well thought out business plan. ccp repeatedly stated that they have no problem doing more deals like the Serenity one - if someone is interested in running his own server farm. Prepare to dish out a serious amount of money to get the server up and running.

No. All we need is people to branch out from the core systems into 0.0, lag problems solved, EVE handles twice as many people.
If the server cluster was split up I'd no longer be able to contact 50% of my corporation...

I agree with OP. While we're at it, let's separate the universe and have two servers each. One for empire and one for 0.0 so that you can stay in empire without having to worry about ganking.
