On the right side of the targetted ship you have icons indicating what you are actively directing to that target. On the left could be what they have directing to you.
But yes, indicating on the overview could also be a good thing. Maybe an Overview option of what 'single' type of weapon/debuff you want indicated on the overview.

Following with the indicators: - Yellow in overview = targeting you. - Red = attaking you. - Blue = scrambling you. ________________________________________ First atheist amarr on EVE

As i wrote in another topic:
----------------- I lost a ship a some time ago because i didnt realise in time i was scrambled. Though for an experienced mission player this is not a problem, as we all know our enemies already well enough, for someone who doesnt expect it its not amusing...
Problem: Beign warp scrambled only gives a short log message, which is very easy to miss if you have 20 messages a second in an intense combat. The blue beam is hardly noticable, again especially in intense combat. An attempt to warp produces ONLY an audio message, and i have my sound disabled.
Possible solutions: Scrolling bar like when dampened above the shield meter; An icon somehwere flashing that you are srabmeld; A more visible "cant do" when you try to warp away; A more visible beam of the scramble (i guess thats wont help too much though)... maybe anything you can think of that will make the user see - hey, i am scrambled, get rid of the scramblers as fast as possible...
That was my suggestion, as i discussed with the GM that rejected my petition, i hope this is the right place to post this issue.
.. though we are often angry at you CCP guys for various reasons, as a dev myself i tell ya - you are doing a magnificent job out there, dont give up and keep it up!

Yeah, something like the buffs/curses icons from MMOs like WoW and Guild Wars would be great. If you highlight the icons, a small tooltip should show up, explaining what's being done to you, its value/strength, and who's doing it. For example...

Also, this could be extended to environmental effects (such as MWD prevention in deadspace), gang assist modules and warfare modules. ---

I rather the idea of a small ship icon popping up to the left with a indictor of what its doing to you that you can rightclick/target but anything is better than the way it is now.
To date I havent seen ONE eve player that hasnt wanted this feature badly for years, I mean whats the problem is it that hard to create?
Has there been any actual dev repsonses to so many request?

devs pls listen to us, we need such kinds of symbols/signs
to show us if we are scrammed, webbed, or getting neut'ed or nos'ed
also think about to disable missile and torp explosions when all effects are turned off

/signed All EW should show cycle time as is now jaming and to have some efects to distinguish whitch ship is using it. Looking to logs is not usefull as with 50+ shhips atacking there is a lots of messages and logs have also autoscroling.

Idea-
Instead of an Icon at the upper right (like everything else on the interent) you include the autopilot to be disengaged and locked when jammed. The icon for the autopilot would flash bright red and thusly you'd know. Perhaps an icon in the weapon queue of a target could point out just who is jamming you but that might make it too easy on you.

Could we not have a buff/debuff bar like in most mmos that would display such status changes?
It could be placed under the targeted ships at the top right, and show icons for warp scrambles (plus an indicator of total scramble strength), propulsion jammers, current shield/armour boosters, etc. This would give pilots a better overview of what effects are being currently applied to their ship.

there have been a couple other threads requesting something like this. And they always have the same response: "FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, PLEASE! YES!"
And still no status indicator. /sad panda
Give us some kind of visual representation of being scrambled. Pretty obvious you're webbed when your inty is doing 97 m/s or you BS has decimals in your speed indicator, but it would still be handy.
Only complaint- I don't think we need an indicator saying which ship is scramming us. We don't get an indicator to say who is using torps vs heavy missiles vs lasers, cs ACs... no need to throw that into the images in space. But if you have somebody targeted, I would like to see which modules are activated towards your ship. Something like that.
But I am going to sign (again) the idea of a scram indicator of SOME sort. ------ Pain is weakness leaving the body.

I hate to repeat it once again, copy the GuildWars UI !!!
A box on the left that fills with mod icon and ship name for each effect on you. You doubleckick (ctrl_click) the icond and you target the offending ship... easy, fast too use, EFFECTIVE !!!!
