Please keep this flame-free, as I am only after info/facts, PREFERABLY from IAC themselves.
Not long ago, The Priory, a known hauler-ganking pirate corp who reside in the NPC stations in Curse were members of IAC (I'm not sure if they still are - I cannot log in to check).
Now, IAC have called in the big guns of their pirate allies in -A-, who are rumoured to be using IAC to build their capital ships.
Have IAC abandoned a NRDS policy in Catch and adopted a stance of piracy along with the likes of Priory, RAT and -A-?
How will this affect docking and travel in the Curse/Catch border for neutrals and newer players who want to check out 0.0 space?
Have they turned the area into a no-go zone, regardless of the war going on at present?
Constructive answers would be preferred please.

I'm more concerned about the long-term ties to known pirate corps than the current conflict.

Is it piracy to be friends with pirates?

we nbsi in our own space during wars only after then everyone who isnt hostile is welcome to come dock in out stations and buy our stuff :)

This is unproductive, you need to get your facts straight and terminology updated.
NBSI in 0.0 isn't commonly referred to as piracy.
To the best of my knowledge, Priory isn't IAC and has in fact been executor of SOD for quite some time.

I don't see IAC abandoning NRDS anytime soon.
For one, more than half our pilotbase would have to be in a coma before letting it happen.

Is it piracy to defend your own space?
why own the space, if you dont actually own it?
you have to goto the effort and expense of keeping it, why should freeloaders be allowed in to plunder resources, then give nothing in return?
On a tactical front NBSI means hostiles are very easy to spot. running an alliance as NRDS, you find yourself getting shot by randoms all the time, before you get to shoot them. Means they have the upper hand in every combat they come across.
Morally I see why somone might not want to shoot neutrals, its just not very practical, and in my experience get abused more than it is beneficial.
I could talk about spies, alts, etc which is why it is plain stupid in times of war (neutral alt with a cyno generator moving around at will, i think not) but they speak for themselves.
Given the tone of your post, and the very black and white stance, you come across very selfishly, and concentrating on the fact that it will be inconvenient to you. Perhaps it is time to lay claim to a slice of 0.0 for yourself?
in summary: It's not your space, there is a war going on, go there at your peril, its hardly piracy, lol :)

Sometimes, just existing in 0.0 could be enough to bother someone, what ever their reasons.
If you don't want to get shot, don't come to 0.0. How hard is that?
Especially when Neutrals could be hostile scout alts, NRDS is a ridiculous policy to follow, especially in wartime.

Piracy is killing ships that belong to others for profit, with no other motive than ganking them for their mods and thrill of the chase. So you may stop with the "there is not law" bs right here and now.
