The Zam Network is pleased to announce the launch of our brand-new EVE-Online website into the Allakhazam Network. This project has been in the pipe for several months now, and we are happy to officially launch it.
Allakhazam sites are well known for our databases, and EVE-Online is no exception. We have a comprehensive database on our website, detailing pretty much every entity inside EVE, be it the starships and modules available to players or NPC pirates. We also have several tools to help players, such as a map to EVE where you can look up specific systems (as well as stations and ore types), a Route Planner and Jump Distance Calculator for Capital ship pilots. We also have plans for a mission database, which will emerge at some point in the near future.
We have a good variety of guides on the site already, which will only continue to grow in the future. These include, among others, general guides to agent missions, piracy and EVE's criminal system, a comprehensive guide to research and manufacturing and an advanced guide to scanning. In addition, we realize that EVE-Online is a smaller MMO that has been growing steadily, and have put a large emphasis on guides to help newer players out and introducing them to the game, for example with detailed guides on mining and tackling.
We appreciate your patience as we work out any bugs and tweak the site over the coming weeks. We're excited for the future of the site and the benefits we can bring to the EVE-Online Community and we hope you are too. What used to be the goodness of Allakhazam was ruined the day that it was sold out to gold farmers. In EVE, it will be the ISK farmers.
I will never, EVER, visit an Allakhazam site ever again so long as it exists to support the human vermin of the MMO currency farmers.
Take your POS (and no, that's not a space station) site and leave us forever.

As one of the two programmers, I know that we've have put a ton of work into the site, and we hope you really like it. I'd love to hear any suggestions, etc, for the site! I had a lot of fun building a website for the one MMO I actually enjoy

Quite simply the most awesome site ever, I've had to lie down for awhile to get over it but now its all good.
Jump distance calculater could do with some functions like the ICSC one but otherwise a wellrounded site.

I simply adore the way you evemailed me to ask if you could use my guide, I filed your mail under I for "Ignore people funded by gold/isk sellers" and you went ahead and used it anyway without permission. It's nice to know your care enough to ask but not enough to give a fig what the answer is.

This was my personal mistake.
I'm not going to get drawn into the rest of the debate, but it was my mistake as a content manager, not Allakhazam's. I must've confused you with someone else, because I always wait for people to answer the eve-mails positively.
I decided to post this on my EVE main to hammer the fact in, that it was my fault, and mine alone. The guide has already been pulled and I'm double checking all the other guides *just in case* and my eve-mail history on both characters I use.
If anyone is going to catch flak for this, it should be just me.

It's a very nice site and all..
.. but isn't Allakhazam bought and owned by IGE? For those who don't know, IGE is a professional company that sells ingame currency for virtually every existing MMO out there. IGE claims that they do not buy gold from sweatshop-farmers, like those based in China, but they don't research any of their buyers and encourage "don't ask, don't tell."
Allakhazam is already widely known for running currency-selling ads, and for one instance where an internet virus/keylogger was spread through those ad banners. IGE is known to have bought Thottbot, but I don't remember if they ended up buying Allakhazam as well.

They are.
My guess is, we will see ISK ads in a few weeks after the site launched.
Just do a search on Allakhazam IGE with your favorite search engine.
