I've seen great leaders step down, and those with false hopes and over-zealous opinions of themselves take their place. Dem & Lib, Im sure you had your reasons, and I hope the game is more fun for you now you aren't fighting for something FLA could never obtain.

TBH you should look at the BNC.E corp killboard stats.... there is truth to the rumor that we kick butt in both industry and PVP. Sadly alot of people fail to realize this simple truth. When reading this I believe I understand why you steal what you can and run for the hills. I guess I should say “Wow, you guys are so cool”? I can see no other reason why you come bragging on the forum how your corp planned to steal from your alliance. Betraying the trust of your fellow alliance members is hardly a golden star in my book, no matter the corp or the alliance. I sure hope other alliances out there take note about the integrity and honor of the Project Gemini corporation. With that said, that tasteless joke in local is nothing I can support, rather the other way around. That is another matter entirely though and it will in no way justify your theft that predates that comment, no matter how much you would want it to.

At the beginning of this year Jacor had some real life issues and had to turn over control to someone else. Due to position and alliance-wide trust control of the main assets were given over to Demarcus for the interim. After that votings began and Demarcus even ran as vice again in combination with our (now) president Daedal V. At this moment he pretty much decided: "I want to have fun now.", asked his corp: "Hey let's steal 11 billion ISK from FLA and run away." to which they seemingly agreed happily. [21:30:35] Demarcus > you can throw the feathers as well none here give a ****, this is the most fun we have had as a corp in 6 months FLA in itself isn't hurt very much, the ISK will be regained. What hurt most is being lied to and being betrayed by one who pretended to want to lead the alliance. -- Regarding stitcher's comment: It was a joke based on a forum post on the FLA forums. He doesn't even know who Demarcus is in RL. Regardless, pretty much everyone here agrees that it was a quite stupid (and dangerous) joke.

Yeah this is a game, but for alot of people they still hold thier real life morals to many things, and alliances are built around those morals. when a corp or player joins an alliance under this pretense of accepting those morals and claiming them as their own, then betrayal such as this as just as real if he claimed to be a close friend of yours and he had snuck into your garage and stole your car, or money from your wallet. Just because this is a game, betrayal isn't any more acceptable to many people. I am sure many people will consider this player and his corp kill on sight. I will be bringing this to the attention of my corp leaders for a permanent negative standings change. Theft is theft, and shows the true color of a person, whether in game or not. If a person can justify causing hardships upon others, then they deserve whatever ill fate falls upon them. KARMA does exsist, and what goes around comes around. after all look at what happened to ASCN.

The entirety of Project Gemini that has gone along with this crime - not just Demarcus and LiBraga - have shown that they have no loyalty to anyone, and I for one consider that your behaviour in the anonymous setting of the internet and the game reflect very much the kind of person you are in real life. The setting may be fictional, but you are still dealing with REAL people - people you pledged to aid, stand with, and in some cases lead. YOU betrayed that vow. Not your character. Not some fictional entity or construct in the game. A real person sitting in a chair behind a computer sat down and deliberately and maliciously planned and enacted this betrayal. That takes this beyond "just a game". Real principles of honour and trust have been ignored here. I apologize for my "made a call" comment. Goca Minmatar Steel Frontier	Posted - 2007.01.14 21:17:00 - [28] I wasn't going to comment on this, but, since Demarcus seems to think he's some kind of god of Eve, because he lied, stole and backstabbed people who had placed a trust in him, I see no reason why I should not. FLA has HAD and I will repeat HAD problems in the past, seemingly those problems are lessening as we get rid of some of these corps and moronic people who have left. FLA might not have 1500 members anymore, but strangely the one's who are here and yes there is still quit a few left :) are pulling together like many will not believe (except the Tri gang who on the verge of being obliterated the other day and the BE gang who have have given us some incredible training (whomever hired them, I must say thank you, you can NOT believe how are PVP knowledge has increased because of them). TBH we are leaner and meaner then FLA has been in a long time, without the deadweight of our supposed "uber" PVPers who for the most part did and are now trying to do more to break up this alliance then any external forces could ever hope to achieve. Sadly elf, paltar, even Demarcus and your little followers it's not working, all you have achieved is making FLA run more efficiently. We no longer have 150 man gate camps that get obliterated by 15 people because of total ineptness by FC's. we now have 20-30 man gangs who go up against groups such as BE and give them a damn good run for their money, with or without senior FC's online.. We have people stepping up that may have never stepped up under the old FLA. You can steal some money, that's easily replaceable, you can even kill some of our ships, again easily replaceable (tbh far as I can tell for all the talk from elf and his minions, you guys ain't done squat, nor will you ever) . But the saddest thing and worst thing you can do is hurt people who had gained a trust in you, this might be a game, but it shows what kind of people you truly are.. All the rest can be gained back easily, trust, well tbh good luck.. You little boys who are slamming FLA and hoping it fails wanna a fight? I think you know where we are located, we are waiting, next time come up yourself, don't get BE to do it for you. I is Goca
Nikerym Selugion Gallente AirHawk Alliance Freelancer Alliance	Posted - 2007.01.14 21:20:00 - [29] After having quite a few of our members step up to the plate, FLA has almost fully recovered from the blow demarcus dealt us in less then 24 hours. as for the comments by stitcher, unfortunatly tempers were running high, 8Bil + 2 Dreads is not something to laugh at. we felt betrayed and unfortunatly some people lost control of thier anger. as for FLA's strength, we grow stronger every day. we may be shedding members and corps, but that being said we are growing closer together, flying with the same people every day allows us to learn to fly as a team alot closer and alot stronger. (not ment as smack, simply an example) yesterday for example, we repeled a Burn Eden attack with only 1 cruiser loss, compared to thier 2 T2 BS losses. FLA is stronger now then it was previously, i'll end this with a beutiful quote from the Triumverite(SP) TS after they limped home from a recent raid "When the F*** did FLA learn to fight like that?" (spies/intel FTW...) and the answer is recently, and we learn more and more every day. later all, Fly Safe friends, Fly Smart hostiles Nikerym
