Well, for an ally that was there, I have to say, it was a great fight. TCF/RA/Goons/UNL vs M/LV. Lag was horrible with 450 people in system, couldn't do anything. In the end, it was just not enough people to fend off 4 alliances. TCF could not have done it alone; but then again, that is not what Eve is about. Working together, making something bigger than just yourself. Congratulations to TCF and friends. You fought well.
See ya next time.

I didn't know M before this fight, they deserve respect and the best. TCF have been defeated in the North and we came back with more power in south. No doubt M will be able to do the same.

Congratulations on a well planned and superbly executed strike TCF and congratulations to ]v[ for putting up a good fight.
On a bit of a side note here I feel I ought to defend my corp somewhat, it appears that some people in Maelstrom have assumed that we left the alliance due to the TCF attack. This is absolutely incorrect. We had been planning to leave ]v[ for some time to form the alliance we are currently in (if you are not convinced then please ask one of the Shadows of the Dead directors). We left because we were bored of the area and the political situation (I do not think this was unexpected, many had been thinking we would leave for a while). The only reason we where still in Maelstrom was because of a planned attack against UNL, we wanted to finish the fight with them and then leave the alliance on good terms.
Unfortunately for us TCF saw to it that we could not do this, I am not exaggerating when I say that they attacked literally hours before we where planning to announce our departure to the alliance. So in light of the attacks we informed only the council of our planned departure so that they may judge when best to tell the alliance and we decided to stay until there was no point in us staying any longer. We left the alliance the day before (or two days, I canÆt remember) the station fell to TCF; at this point, barring a miracle, their victory in the system was a certainty and we saw no use in staying. Non the less we left the modules on our remaining POS in I-N and offered to donate it to Vortex rather than saving the modules as we could have done (although the hand over was never effected due to large hostile presence in local).
May I also point out that we did not save any significant assets by our actions nor did we attempt to come to a deal with the enemy to save any of our assets (The deal Frederik mentions was not properly authorised and has been revoked) as far as I know we have no standings set to TCF nor do we have any intentions of changing that for the foreseeable future. In case you missed us in local we where there, admittedly not in our usual numbers but we where there non the less (as I write this we are 2nd on the corp list for killers in January and 3rd on the corp list for ship losses in January and this is on the Maelstrom kill board).
IÆm sorry if you feel that we bailed out on you or that we were cowardly and I hope I have cleared the situation up somewhat. If not, well I guess it doesnÆt matter too much, people will believe what they want, however this is, to the best of my knowledge, the truth.
Anyhow, now IÆve got that off my chest. Good luck to both sides in the future and have fun ----------- When I was a n00b, I spake as a n00b, I understood as a n00b, I thought as a n00b: but when I became pr0, I put away n00bish things. |

No dice. 100%, you ran. I have a character in Myriad (dont play it much) but it was obvious that your forces were never really commited from siege day 1. Where were your carriers? Where were your battleships? nowhere to be seen most of the time.

Couldn't agree more. A few TM corp members came to IAC space knowing full well they were blue to us and began shooting IAC along with their LV friends.
TM are a disgrace, and Maelstrom deserve much better then what you gave them. I have the utmost respect for the pilots of Maelstrom and their leaders. I wish you all nothing but the best, shame we are technically on different sides in this conflict.

Let me start out by saying I will not defend what Eddie said, it was uncalled for and rude however it certainly doesnÆt provide evidence for any of the accusations you, Mamo, then level against us. FDF sold us two carriers at cost, they where not free and the alliance incurred no cost because of this, not to mention that we used them while we where in the alliance for the alliance. Remember who was responsible for the placing of the POS in B-R and the securing of B-R? ThatÆs right TM and what made that possible? ThatÆs right our carriers. Who was responsible for the period when we attacked the GM 8/10 POS and held the system consistently while our forces where in there? ThatÆs right, TM and whose POS was it in that system? ThatÆs right TMÆs and what made all this possible? ThatÆs right, the TM carriers.
I am personally offended by the accusations of thievery. Lanielle and I had access to the holding corp wallet for several months, due presumably to a mistake, (ask Sivaz if you donÆt believe me) and never took a single isk. In the meantime we have put a lot into the alliance, a lot of it we will never see again. We where a major PvP corp in the alliance (nearly half the kill participations of the entire alliance where made by TM or TM founder corp members (check the KB if you donÆt believe me)) and consequently had among the highest losses too and they werenÆt free, they cost us a lot of isk defending your outpost. We leave all our towers behind in Immensea, we did not make a deal to get them out and cut our losses even though we knew we where leaving because we did not want to hurt maelstrom any more than was necessary and we leave behind the investments of many of our members into that outpost, hundreds of millions of isk.
Sure we didnÆt defend I-N as actively or as hard as we usually do and that was simply a morale thing û it is hard to make people lose all when they know it will make no long term difference to them one way or the other and when they believe it is pointless anyway. None the less a lot of our members are now ship less and isk less because they lost all trying to help people who they thought of as friends. Friends who now seem more than willing to deny them their role in the battle because they will not blame themselves for their own failings and think they have found an easy scapegoat.
As for the various other silly accusations: http://killboard.maelstromalliance.com/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=5789 didnÆt use our carriers in I-N did we? (I know itÆs only one kill but the KB is public access, you can find more if you want to).
DHBFoofighter, please keep your ill informed flaming out of this thread. I am not bothered by what standings you set us too but if you need a reason then please use a valid one. I am assuming you mean http://killboard.maelstromalliance.com/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=6420 this kill? As you will notice the TM member was at the very bottom of the kill. He only used a target painter! I believe he has also made an apology to IAC through n sx. He refrained from firing on every friendly target that the gang saw except for the one he target painted, which, granted, was wrong of him but please donÆt paint (no pun intended) us as NAP violators, as that simply isnÆt the case. (Incidentally, yes that is a Vortex member who is 6th on the kill mail)
If you want to choose us as a scapegoat, Maelstrom, then go ahead, do so. However the fundamental problems within the alliance will not go away unless you look to yourselves and see where you went wrong. Despite all that has been said I do not want it to see ]v[ fail but I feel that if you are to carry on independent of others then radical change is in order. ----------- When I was a n00b, I spake as a n00b, I understood as a n00b, I thought as a n00b: but when I became pr0, I put away n00bish things. |

Too much BS to address really. You now your failings, and you tend to highlight them without meaning to. Morale low? Every SOBS pilot knew they were gonna lose every single ship they owned in the defence of an outpost we were likely not to hold. Yet we threw everything we had into the fight while TM members were busy in alliance chat selling ships, or self-destructing them at a POS. _

You tried to save your tower in B-R and lost a carrier while doing it. The tower you have in I-NG that you said you were going to donate is shooting at Maelstrom because you set us to negative.

I can confirm that this has been in planning long before Maelstrom Alliance came under any kind of attack. The main members of our two corporations go way back and they are a great bunch to work with. You guys can pin whatever kind of blame you want for the situation, but to single out Total Mayhem is wrong. Your alliance got attacked by a numerically superior determined force. As for people worrying about Blue standings, we won't have much of that here.

I simply find funny the way TCF takes all the merits from an operation driven by many entities, weak as usual.
ASCN wasnt the alliance you were begging to attack BoB as it was our "only capable enemy"... Funny to see you call it a simple industrial alliance
Theres a word for people that constantly changes stances on something... It will come back to me... but one minute you guys are saying ASCN were complete **** minus a few players, and now your trying to tell me that ASCN was more then just an immense industrial power?
