Regardless of all that has been said so far? I'd like to ask, do LV have their heads shoved so far up their arses that they're arguing over "beating" CA over ISK loss by the tactic of using a Titan? Tbh - that's hardly anything to boast about.
As i'm sure its been said many times before - LV have the room to boast because they have a huge f***off E-Peen that speaks for itself. Were LV Titanless, I personally don't believe CA would be receiving half the smack/flaming from LV that we're receiving.
I admit - Yes, CA lost a few ships last night, but it's a risk EVERY pilot was willing to take, hence why they came. Everyone is fully aware that LV would strike with the Titan so it wasn't anything we weren't expecting. But equally, we took a few of your ships + POS', plus the ISK cost of firing the DD itself. So both sides took an ISK loss one way or another.
I can't help but feel though, were it not for the Titan, the War in which is being fought between LV and CA would be a completely different story.

And if VOTF wern't such a bunch of muppets, the same would be true. Unfortunately for you, neither is the case.

You mean like tonight? Where your fleet + goon combined fleet refused to engage ours despite 2:1 odds. No titan loving there.

I have a question, sir.
During the wars for Wicked Creek and Scalding Pass, both -V- and LV boasted a pretty good K:L ratio, both for isk and numbers. In nearly every large fleet battle V/LV killed more than they lost, judging by the involved killboards.
What doesn't make sense is that Wicked Creek is now under Tau Ceti sovereignty, and Scalding Pass is now under GoonSwarm sovereignty.
What about your strategy, if I may ask, has changed that makes this situation any different than before? The Titan scored an amazing amount of kills when TCF/GOON sieged 1V-, but a week later GoonSwarm owned the system. For the past X months, the Southern Coalition has had great killboard stats all around, but has done nothing but lose regions. So... if this is the case, and you can open the ingame map to see that it is, why are you boasting about K:L ratios when it has not helped you or your allies in the past? wtb horizontal line to separate signatures from posts |

Basically yes, they get multiple kills at once from the Titan and that assures a higher kill count. They have good PvPers no doubt so they get kills there to. And because they are losing space they have to result to the use of their K/L ratio to keep their moral up. You have made a great point here. They get more kills, but still lose. So, as far as firing a Titan they are proficient. As far as protecting their space so far they need to refigure all that Titan logistics and focus on protection of space
Edit: And yes, please post with main. You give a good argument.

I think the question was actually nothing to do with the titan but more to do with the loss of SP and WC.
As I said earlier you should ask your new Alliance 'friends' why that area was lost. More to do with poor POS management and logistics by certain people than a Kill/Loss ratio in space.
The mistakes by certain (none LV pilots before you start on that point) pilots that it would be dishonourable to name in public. Mistakes in Strontium levels and badly managed and setup POSes.
BTW these same pilots that lost SP and WC (some individuals are in NCA now that were responsible for putting only small towers in a key station system in WC, before you start that topic as well), are now actually in NCA. So time will tell how good NCA are at POS warfare or will you leave it up to your masters RA to teach you that part of Eve Life.
RA are excellent at POS warfare and that is what wins or loses regions.
We have fought RA and their POS warfare for some time now. NCA are just starting to play that game.
Lets wait and see IF those that lost SP and WC and are now handling NCA towers have learnt from their mistakes of the past.
Just remeber those pilots that POS managed those regions into your allies control are now in NCA, handling your POSes. I'll personally wait and see how your POS warfare is.
Time will tell. MT

Dude...just saying thanks to you for a mature non flaming reply. We are new as NCA with pos warefare, but we have many experienced folks that have took a ride on this bus before. We also do have experience with succesful POS warefare from when FIX was basically killed by the "Coilition" that was formed at the time(noting FIX fought well considering they were attacked by like 4 or 5 alliances lol). Bob came in to save them succesfully after attrition had already set in on both sides. As you said, only time will tell, nothing is easily predicted. But I'm certain the ride will be a blast. Good luck out there to all.

Originally by: Bellon As a careful reading of Bel'm's post will reveal, he lived in southern stain (almost in the regions below). The Northern Corps will attest that one of the most contentious issues in Stain leadership was the fact that the Northerners did all the fighting while many of the southerners carebeared. Saying the majority of fighting was in the arse end of nowhere, far from the frontline is like saying the majority of WW2 took place in Africa.
By far and away 90% of all fleet PvP took place in Northern stain (DSS), Catch (HED -> U-Q) and.. believe it or not, CURSE (HLW, O-SHT etc).
OC for a time lived in the far far south of Stain and did incredibly well for themselves, there is no doubting that, but the main fleet combat was in the north, in the end of SA terriatory that was nearest to... wait for it...curse!
We can debate this back and forth all day, but the fact is, the Killboard Data doesnt lie.
PS: Bared, ROFL at you describing yourself as an FC. Razzil says hi
Bellon, unless your one of ens' alts, STFU about the south. Thats my singular beef with with all the shinra people posting here. the sinlge one. You all seem to have no idea that there was more to the war than HLW to DSS. After the whole Arcane m0ovolution business where Duke brought C4 up to save CA, most of the fighting happened in DSS, and around that time, I was mostly dealing with incompetance withen my own corp, but I always made a point of going out to the front. as for the whole laughing at me being an FC, that's fine, I was to busy working with Rogerwilco and Synapse with trying to get EV, TYC, GFL, and SWI (in retrospect, I realy should have left for MASS sooner) and a few of the smaller corps cohesive... which means I had my own war to fight. btw, the south didnt carebear... at least not until C4 left, way too dangerous!
an no, 90% of the fighting didnt just happen in that area, just most of the huge ****. and if it makes you feel any better, most of the southerners who did fight, fought up in the north as well. I didnt lead in the north to often because, get this, I believed the job belonged to the most competant! in the south, it was Roger, Synapse and myself. in the North, it was Bold, Aeryn, Razzil, LD (towards the end), and a few others who stepped up, and didnt mind putting up with constant ineptitude from people who were to set in thier ways to think about adpating to new tactics.
Ok, to address what lallante and I spoke of the other day: Shinra BECAME a major player when thier size grew. when OC disbanded, shinra became THE major power. Before that they were A major power. VotF had some great pilots, like gunship, omaha, ED, and Zelota, but in the end, it was Shinra who became CA's top dog. BECAME, they didint start that way, and for a time, they offered very few peoople into battles in comparison to the rest of CA. the point is, CA has always been up and down, and shinra was no different.
Bellon, that reminds: me Rhetoric annoys me, STFU if you dont know what your talking about.
