My face is hideous.
I saunter down to the ship bay, and small children run shrieking in horror.
Grown men go pale and stumble away, averting their eyes while mumbling hastily crafted prayers.
Women slay themselves outright in loathing, so vile and abominable is my visage.
I am Achura.
I started EVE with no clue and little advice.
The only advice I got was "Charisma sucks, don't waste your time on it."
Ok, then I began a search for the perfect race.
Ahhh, Caldari...
Wow, those Achura mofos get great stats.
But, but sheesh...
*hours later while crafting my appearance it looks even worse than when I started*
Random comment from random joe alerts me to the fact that I can pay to have my face switched out with another picture of my RACE. My RACE is Caldari right?
Ahh good, Achura it is then, I will "fix" it later and pay to get a new face, maybe one of those cats that totes that shootin iron.
But WOE! I try to get a facelift and can't use another Caldari face UNLESS IT'S ACHURA!?!
The RACE is Caldari YES?!?
Yeah, but your Achura, n00b.
You can get another Achura face, that's it.
ARRRRRRGH!
But I like my skills and stuff I have so far, it would be a huge timesink to lose it all now!

My guy has 100m isk burning a hole in his wallet, and he can't afford a damn facelift?
I look like a damn necropheliac anemic monk, good thing my Pod covers me up most of the time.

I suffer from a similar problem. When my picture is about as young and happy as an amarr can look, something's wrong =/

Achura females are too pretty if anything!
Seriously, at the very least the character imagery should represent the common dump stat (the attribute no one wants, it is usually charisma or beauty, depending on game).
You want the powergamer, go for the ugly dude with the ***** hairstyle. (Wonder if they censor "*****" as in the olden english word for "strange")

Well he aint a pure fighter.
I started out as a Miner/Indy, and still do sometimes.
I mean drop me off in 0.0 and I can do damn near everything, but none of it really well.
That's the real trap of EVE.
But yeah he has a low Charisma.

With a Drake (of course) and big purple pimpin hat, yeah with a zebra stripe headband, with maybe a big ass feather.
Pimp suit optional.

I think I may be the first Industrial Character with a pimp sig though (I'm new though, so I don't know for sure)... Anyways, when you rob six jetcanning AFK oreminers in one system, by book marking their cans and jumping from can to station, can to station, ect... It's sorta like pimping

Actually, I think the term race more closely corresponds with the term bloodline. Would you consider a person of Japanese descent to be a member of the same race as an Icelander (or whichever real-world nation you think corresponds best to the Civire)?

I'm getting rid of my Achura and it's a female one. I tried making her look weird, ebil, sexy at the very least, anything but plain. It just did not work.

Oh about the face, though: you could swap it with a very darkly lit Achura male... some of the light configurations, combined the right facial direction and electronic accessories, can produce some pretty decent and cool-looking results.
My apologies for another double-post.
And to the post immediately above, what's wrong with plain? Myself, I quite like the Achura-female appearance.

For $10, you can swap your face with that of another character on your account so long as both characters are of the same bloodline.
So yeah, if your fellow Sebiestors (?) can have hairplugs...

Achuras are right munters.
I couldnt find an Achura face for my ALT that I liked, they were all utterly hideous (apart from TK8's, although I think his Flash might have been slightly Photoshopped), so I gave up and went Khanid instead.
I think....its a Chinese style face so its whatever the Bloodlines Amarr race addition was.

On a slight tangent, I felt all warm and fuzzy when I saw that the new leadership skills, high-rank completely-necessary unavoidable skills, were charisma based. My healthy charisma points suddenly don't look so stupid now, huh? How you feeling now, Mr. power-gamer with 3 charisma points "because its useless" who has to take 40 days to finish leadership 5? In your face!

Morale of the story, DO NOT tweak your starting stats to be "uber", because in MMOs, things can change. Always go for balance, because you never know what might crop up next.
Now, lets add a few more, no?

Personally, I justed wante an AZN char. It came down to this mug, a Khanid or a Verokior. Verokior's stats were on the other extreme of acceptability, methinks, and Khanid males are a bit too creepy.
The problem is the default Aschura faces are messed up, but you can get a decent mug if you mess with things enough.
