For what it's worth, quite a few of the bloodlines aren't exactly lookers, either. Portraits I've seen for most EVE males range from old geezers to geico caveman rejects to creepy looking hippy types and sith wannabes.

Morale of the story, DO NOT tweak your starting stats to be "uber", because in MMOs, things can change. Always go for balance, because you never know what might crop up next.
Now, lets add a few more, no? 
If I was so inclined, I could turn that 3 Charisma into 17+. I just have no reason to and something tells me I'll never have a reason to...Leadership is rank 1.

Well no one said charisma wasnt used for anything
but once you have done the 3m sp in the engineering/electronics support skills (memory and int) theres hundreds of million of sp needed to be done in gunnery/missiles/spaceship command, all requiring perception and willpower
having 16,5 charisma (3 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 10%) is more than sufficient to learn the small amount of leadership skills you really need
If i were to make a new character based on figthing id do 6 int and mem, 12 perc and will, and 3 charisma

By chance, don't achura males look ok to the chinese, or other asians? Maybe it's been designed exclusively for them :)
And btw achura is the best race for r&d alt - 30 int 4tw.

The main reason I did not started as an Achura is because they are so damn ugly. At least as a Khanid I can hide my face 
And btw hint hint all the portraits have been uploaded a while ago you just have to delete your web browser cache.

btw, isn't it fun ? All these achura types are going to be laughed at in time. It's rather funny to see how just about ever single new player after the new bloodline patch is either achura of khanid.

Yeah. Ahura males have a bit too big nose by default. But then again, they DO have best stats for all around character. Khanid is also quite ok as alt race for combat if you shift some of your starting points into int / mem. And Charisma is still useless btw, unless you are missionrunner or gang support alt. And I would say that even for missionrunner charisma is the least important stat.

Ofc, everyone assumes you're an alt or a nub when you're achura (or Khanid for that matter, altho alt is more likely there)
Anyway, they're butt uggly yes. Righteously stupid of CCP to create a caldari bloodline with the lowest charisma tho, it's like asking the complete playerbase to please create an many alts to sit around with in the most congested piece of space as they can
Would it have been too hard to create two lines with the same low abse charisma ? Or to at least make the lowest charisma chars non-caldari ?
Sometimes I just can't take CCP seriously as game developers tbh, they make the most amazing ****ups.

To be brutally honest, Eve online is not a game where beauty plays a part. Maybe with Walking In Stations(tm) they will allow everyone 1 free re-roll of their appearance using the new character engine, but even then i still expect to be the only 6 foot tall valkyrie amongst a sea of 5 foot 4 asians whenever i dock up and go to the bar.

Seriously though, those Achurans males are fugly, but the females are OK. I wanted an Achuran alt, but was about to give up when I saw the male's face (what is up with that nose? Are they all cokeheads, and have evolved thusly because of it???) untill I clicked "female"... which was kind of ironic since I usually never play female characters... but this was a case of "don't really have much of a choice, do I?".

wow, I'm beginning to see the seeds of a rather twisted form of EVE-racism coming up. my first char, not even speced to Caldari (domi ftw) and now I've got the nub mark for life? I get enough crap about ethnicity irl without it popping up in games as well. 
srsly, though. Deteis and Gallente are probably the only really decent looking bloodlines, male-wise, imo. Achura's won't come close to winning a beauty contest, but I wouldn't put them below a lot of Mataris and Amarrs. You can do something with Civire and Intaki, maybe, but you really can't get rid of the serial killer vibe there.
