- MC Contract Announcement -
For the last few weeks, my alliance has been taking care of some internal matters. With that now resolved, we turn our attention back to an area of space the MC has not seen in quite some time.

Login to the game and look at the eve map for "play owned space..." You will see BOB and under BOB in the very bottom corner you will see MC.
Not exactly sure of the relationship but they are friendly to each other. MC will go in and cause a distraction and BOB will go in and wipeout there allies.. Then MC will pull back and BOB will finish them off.
Things might change if D2 is more then MC can handle. If you are in the North and friends with D2 get ready to fight or pack the bags.

hardly a surprise given the movement reported here of BOB, and the reports MC were in the area.
Good luck to all parties, will be interesting to see how MC perform against a formidable enemy - in all honesty not smack, few would argue past contracts have been a decent challenge.

Okay, so MC is gonna attempt to begin the plague of early attrition on D2 and IRON...but even still, can Bob take D2 when they are ready to hit em'? Can MC inflict a surmountable amount of attrition with their small size even though skilled? ASCN was one thing, but D2 can bring the ruckas, and hard at that I imagine. Sooooo, if this is Bob's plot D2 is definently gonna be a real challenge. Man I gotta get my covert around those parts for pics ^^. Anywho, the next few weeks are going to get extremely interesting. MC, at least take it to them in 0.0, ya know, for the good fight and ****s and giggles.

You assume that MC were forced to take that contract. Sorry, don't believe that, I rather think that MC is more than happy that they got the offer to be part of it.
I mean what's there not to like about that contract from MC's perspective ?
BoB is the perfect employer (professional, comes usually up with solid plans) and D2/IRON is probably a dream target that gives them a lot of action.

Gotta put my money on MC.
With Toxin flanking this will be one short lived fight.
D2's intentions were noble, but pushing the smaller members of your new coilition in front of you like meat shields didn't win you enough favor, even with a foe as mighty as BoB.
I will fire up the freighters and head them north...going to be alot of T2 floating around and MC is always good to the low level scavengers...lol

At this point I'm just wondering why MC doesn't just get it over with and join BoB. They won't take contracts against BoB and they seem to have lately been mostly fighting BoB's enemies lately. This is just my impression but nothing that MC has done lately does anything to dispel the recurring rumor that they're BoB alts. I'd love to see MC dispel that by taking a contract on BoB or Xelas or somebody. But as mercenaries they don't seem to be very neutral.
Thoughts are my own and are not representative of my corp or alliance.

The mistake here is that you think we have a burden of proof to look neutral. However, our goal is - and has always been - the satisfaction of our client, whomever that may be. As long as our clients are pleased, we are pleased. Isk talks, and we're good listeners.

every year MC have to give BoB 4 weeks unpaid merc work (i think its 4, might be a bit less) in leiu of rent, so IF it is BoB that has hired them (and tbh who cares) then it is still effectively a merc contract the same as if they had been paid isk really.

The thing that makes me laugh the most is how BoB is only able to say something about tinfoil hats.
The only reason to not believe that MC belong to BoB is MC saying so.
There are far more reasons to believe that they in fact do belong to BoB, and are to do as instructed.
The other point is that no one really cares, but it does seem odd to maintain the charade. If you came out and said that you were indeed BoB's *****es, or whatever, I honestly don't think it would detract from your ability to attract contracts. You guys are good at what you do, everyone knows that. You won't attack BoB for very good reasons...they're your landlord, no one has come up with a decent plan and the ISK required. Again, absolutely nothing wrong with that. That still leaves a ton of other alliances able to either hire you, or feel your special brand of warfare.
Other than the forum games, which in many ways are BoB's favourite part of the game, there's no point maintaining that you're not BoB's best friends in the whole world, and that you guys haven't already agreed that if you're both not married by the time you turn 40 that you'll marry each other. It's ok. We don't mind.

You're right of course, speculation doesn't equal fact. But don't forget that if you took the acts of the MC in the past year or so, and those of BoB, then any reasonable person would be able to conclude that the chances of them working together are a lot higher than the chances of them being entirely seperate. |

I don't know why the Mercenary Coalition even bother with the pretense of neutrality or being money-oriented, for all the MC claims in the past about how they'd take on BoB if the price was right (which we knew damned well were lies at the time anyways) I know that ASCN told MC to name their price, and they refused.
They can claim up and down they're not lackeys, and I'm sure there will be a BoB member that lies with every breath he takes on the forums categorically denying everything in typical fashion, but more and more people are not buying the party line anymore.

Independence of action and maverick political positioning was never EVE's strong point. Even though it is a game that we play.. there is the potential for real loss of time and effort via the unforgiving game mechanics of pvp. Always there have been centres of power in this game and entities that gravitate towards them, as far as 0.0 is concerned.
However, with the advent of even heavier investment in 0.0 infrastructure that EVE has been promoting, there is more to be lost than ever before. You just have to look at the bill for the war that ASCN paid. The loss in isk involved in losing a full scale war for a 0.0 alliance with heavy infrastructure is simply staggering. Even though its a game.. its still gotta hurt.
So.. I think its necessary to look at the relationships that entities have within the correct context.
If you have deployed outposts in 0.0 space and you hold territory you need friends.. lots of them..... no alliance is imune to this... not even Robert.. and certainly not MC or FIX.
The same goes for any other 0.0 alliance these days.... independence of thought from the centres of power is an unaffordable luxury for the smaller entities.
On the subject of FrankenCurse.. well.... I think its an appropriate name for it it would be nice to see CA come back and do their thing.. but I think we all know those days are over.
Nobody should be surprised with MC and FIX being very aligned towards their landlord or for the northern alliances to be aligned to their big brother. As far as the big picture is concerned its the same deal all over.
So now we got 3 power blocks instead of 4... big deal, ASCN was just the odd man out.
Hey maybe North vs South will work this time round.... meh.. what do I know.
On a sidenote.. my subscription runs out at the end of the month.... so yeah don't be surprised if I suddenly stop posting... .. though I'm sure it will make some people very happy.

If that's not the situation I gain nothing. I'm just commenting that based on actions that this is what the case appears to be. is it the complete truth. Nope. I'm probably way off base. I have no inside knowledge and I acknowledge that. But that is what the situation appears to be. It seems to me that MC is so tightly entwined that their independence is now questionable. MC doesn't have to prove anything to me or anyone else. But then questions about them will continue to follow. And in the mercenary business your reputation is everything. So for the sake of their reputation maybe MC does have something to prove.

Did any of these numerous people say how much they were willing to pay? Tbh i don't recall any specific cases, it's always the generic 'i've heard someone wanted to hire MC and got turned down' with no details whatsoever.

Except you work for BOB for free so no isk there. Get back to licking there balls will ya.

Cant we just stop all the talk about who's in who's pocket and hear what is actually going on in the North? any epic battles? any capitals deployed yet? POS's under siege? etc
MC have stated many many times on these boards that for the right price, with the right plan and they would indeed attack BOB.
MC obviously have a relationship with BOB, one which is probably worth far more than the ISK they get from taking on merc jobs. They do what they say work for payment .... its just that everyone assumes that payment is always in the form of ISK.
Anyway, never thought I would say this but GL MC, FIX and BOB.

MC vs D2+IRON
MC is on the offensive fielding one of the most impressive fleets in eve. While they are not a very large alliance, they have a very active playerbase and their capital fleet is among the most succesful in eve. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen them fail in taking their objective.
D2, giant of the north. One of the biggest alliances in game, fielding both an impressive pvp force and a strong industrial base, not to mention that it has gathered more allies than any other entity in game. D2 has been very succesful in their offensive campaigns, but as Venal has a load of npc stations, they will face a very difficult task of keeping hostiles from staging in those stations.
IRON has been very impressive in their offensive campaigns, but I don't recall them fighting any sovereignity wars.
All in all, it's going to be interesting to see how the situation develops

You are too modest, your alliance just pwnd the mighty ISS mining alt alliance. With minimal outside help I may add.
If people run away from you, you should take it as a complement and try to catch them. Catching people is a major part of pvp.

Did it occur to you there may have been more enemy gang's around and that they could have thought you were all gonna join up and blob? The other day we were having a scrap with aaa, all fine and dandy, then a nyx jump's in, sure ok, we can do this. Then another d2 gang arrive's and we made the correct tactical choice of withdrawing from the field. Or in your eye's does that count as cowardly running as you seem to imply?
But i guess if your not in the enemies shoes its matter of perspective isn't it?

Empire wars are next to useless since freighters entered the game, freighter pilot just leaves corp and stays in NPC corp during the war and the fighting itself in empire is worse than 0.0, more lag, neutrals that you're not allowed to shot or u get concordokkend and all that bull, the time where a empire wardec meant something are long gone.
If you want to hurt a 0.0 Alliance you have to get em where they live and not in silly Empire.

That was fun. Even though we all ended up dieing, which was the whole point, we completed our mission of delivering Spirits outside the MC stations.

Moral is a major force in this game. If your alliance isn't having fun fighting, they stop logging on, when they stop logging on you start losing. Stop ragging on the people trying to keep their alliance moral up. It's not an easy job.
You cannot force people to fight in this game. The only way you will survive an alliance war is to make it fun. how do you expect people to log on at 4 in the morning to defend a pos if all they are hearing is "omg we are gonna die"

D2 have puppets ie. residents like most alliances do, but i fail to see how IRON/Razor/Morsus Mihi... and all the others fit into puppet category. They have their own space and their own agenda for beating BoB.

Well you see, we were listed on the map for one iteration but when Dianabolic said for us to keep our little sliver of Eve-O respect(something everyone should value more than life itself) it would cost us 10 Livestock to his personal account, we drew the line.
Our alliance mates have grown very "attached" to the livestock and even copious amounts of Ferrogel couldn't actually get them "unattached" if we wanted them to. ISK is one thing, sheep are a totally different value of currency.
It gets lonely in 0.0

What I know: Bob+aaa+D2 is in same "priceclass" stated by MC.
MC has also told the e-o that they turned down a 40 bil contract on BOB from ASCN. Oki so now we know MC has been paid more then just 40 bil to dec D2 .
MC also stated they dont "wanna do" empireganks, they wanna see a plan. That means pos attacks station takin etc etc, if I get it right. That means risking CAP-ships.
40 bil is not enuf for attacking D2 alone, that we know as i stated before, but now you decked the "whole" north. So with a fast calculation: we dont talk tens of bills we talk hundreds of bills here, so HOW MANY 100 BILLS DID YOU GET PAID FOR THIS??
Or is this another fake contract from MC? Cuz with your pricepolicy you kinda elimnated most players and alliances from hireing you against north. I¦m just churios, cuz if I had that ammount of isk, I would invest in "mum and dad" (MS and titans ) instead.
