6x Heavy Neutron Blaster II
1x 100mn AB II 1x Fleeting Web 3x Cap recharger II
2x LAR II 1x EANM II 1x Thermal Hardener II 1x Kinetic Hardener II 2x CPR I
Ogre II's, and Bouncer I's as the main drone firepower. Tanks most mission types (e.g. Amarr/Caldari Navy, Rogue Drones, Guristas, Serpentis, Mordus, Bloodraiders, Sanshas) with no problems - swap out a CPR for an Explosive hardener II if facing Angels.
With Cap rigs you can also make it truly sustainable, and perhaps dump one of the CPR permanently...

This is what I use when I need quick ISK on my domi in empire:
6 x 200mm autocannons to pop frigs (fusion, emp, or phased plasma depending on NPC's) or 4 autocannons and 2 tractor beams, but i can't use tractor beams.
5 x named cap rechargers
2 x LAR II 3 x specific T2 hardeners, or some combination of EANM II and hardeners 2 x named cap power relays
Cap rechargers and cap relays to suit your cap skills to allow running the hardeners and reppers full time. I use F-B10's and Mark I, just the bare minimum I need to keep it cheap and running. Play your cards right and research a mission before doing it, and you'll have no trouble solo'ing any level 4 in very respectable time. Afterburner is nice for those ones with 100km between gates, but I don't like having to cycle a rep so I never bother.

Rigs : 3 X Capacitor control circuit I Low : 2 X LAR II, 4 X specific hardeners II, 1 CPR Middle : 5 X Cap recharger II
the 2 lar and 4 hardeners are sustainable (i activate them all at the beginning of mission and dont give them attention before everything is dead), so my highs are now : 3 X small tractor beam I, 2 X Salvager I, 1 random laser turret to get aggro.

This looks about right, except go with 250mm rail II's instead of blasters (they still hit small ships and take out the cruisers better, which tend not to get so close). I would also go for more hardners instead of cap power relays in low. ie: 2 LAR II, 4 t2 hardners, 1 1600mm plate (for added time to kill things and get out if things aren't going so well).
EDIT: it doesn't really matter what you do with the highs in a domi. If you want to loot faster or try to kill things slightly faster. Just make sure to have the tank right & enough cap rechargers in the mid slots so it is sustainable and you should be fine.

EDIT: To get you started with missions pecific hardeners, Rogue Drones: 1 exp, 1 kin, 1 eanm Angel: 1 exp, 2 eanm Serp: 2 therm, 1 kin Amarr: 1 em, 2 therm Guristas: 1 kin 1 therm 1 eanm (i think, dont remember) Zor: 2 therm, 1 kin, 1 exp (come in at extreme range to a bookmark and cycle second rep, make zor die first, shut down decond therm hardener once he pops)
With all T2 mods, those combos will handle any mission as long as you control aggro and range.
I have next to no experience with projectiles So I don't know how they perform, but wouldn't it be quicker to aggro a group with some long range turret and use medium drones to annihilate the frigs before they get to the ship as opposed to letting them get close enough to scramble? Do the autocannons make a big difference?
Does that setup have enough armor to act as a buffer or enough rep'ing to last long in any of the more unpleasent level 4's?
I ran some tests with Quickfit and with T2 cap chargers, 2 T1 cap rigs and a nano pump rig the dual rep tank can be run forever without the CPR's allowing for a total of four hardener II's as well as a 1600 plate. Boosts the price quite a bit though.

HI: heavy nos, drone link augmentor, 4 either heavy neuts or 250mm rails,
Meds: 3-4 cap rechargers, 1-2 cap injectors with 800 cap chargers
2 LAR(t2 if possibe), 4 various resistant mods, mission specific, 1600 plate.
5 small, 5 med, 5 large, 5 senry drones
Drones are very important for a domi, for sentries stick to wardens, they have a nice range and damage type, the rest swap per mission to match the rat weekness
a lot of the missions you can kill off the spawns with the sentries before they even get to you, speed isnt important for a domi, mostly i dont even bother with an AB
you could skip out on the 5 med drones, and just use large drones to kill the cruisers and above, but if you have a spawn where rats orbit you 20k or more the large drones take forever to move from one target to antoher. Soar Angelic Forums

TBH dual 250 rails might only be worth it when using t2.. If you want to use dual rep setup you'll run into fitting problems .. Also most people I know tend to kill so fast with drones they can't be frelled to actually activate guns and such..
I totally agree with the 'when i'm not using guns with bonus i might aswell use projectiles' however most gallie people will have hybrid trained up higher and the cap use can be overcome on a domi.. still I'm training projectiles.. the no cap stuff and high fall-off sound pretty good for drone users..
All the stuff above does not necessarily reflect my corp, my alliance or even me.. Drone guide.. |

2x Drone link augmentor 2x Heavy Diminishing Power Drain 2x Dual 250mm Railguns (Prototypes or T2's)
Med:
4x Cap Recharger II 1x Omnidirectional Tracking Link
Lo:
4x Rat-specific T2 hardeners 2x Large Armor Repairer II 1x Beta Control Reactor: Capacitor Power Relay
Rigs:
3x Capacitor Control Circuit I
Drones: Hammerheads, Ogres, and Wardens
With one armor repper and no NOS running you actually gain cap with this setup... with the NOS running you gain it even faster. You can run both reppers with the nos for a loooong time... enough to reduce the DPS of almost any blob to a managable level.

Fact : those things are probably the worst Large Hybrid turret there is, and they eat a lot of powergrid ... Electron Blasters can do the same job (pulling the aggro in missions) AND free up enough grid and cpu to really go bonkers with the tank.
Personnaly, I would'nt fit Nosferatus on a mission Dominix, NPCs don't need their cap, and they don't regenerate it ... you'll get at most 3 cycles of a NOS before the NPC is completely dry, not enough juice to be usefull.
Here's my setup, works well for me :
HIGHs : 4x Electron Blaster I (still need a few days for T2), 2x Drone Link Augmentor I
MEDs : 5x Cap Recharger II
LOWs : 2x Large Armor Repairer II, Damage Control II, 4x T2 hardeners (usually one active and one passive against the two damage types of the mission, or a mix of EANMs and Explosive hardeners for the angel/drone missions)
RIGs : 3x Capacitor Control Circuit I
Dronebay : a set of 5 of Lights, Mediums, Heavies and Sentries of the appropriate type for the mission I'm doing, plus 4 armor repairer drones (1 heavy, 2 mediums and 1 light) for the rare case when I need to repair my combat drones during a mission.

I use:
2x Heavy NOS 1x Tractor Beam 1x Aggro gun 2x True Sansha Large EMP Smartbonb
5x Best named / Tech1 Cap Recharger
2x Large Armor Repairer tech2 5x Active Hardeners, dependent on enemy
3x CCC Rigs
Because of the rigs, the 2 reppers can be run forever (needs maxed cap skills) Nos are just there, because I could, rarely even use them.
I only use large and small drones. Most interceptor npc's are coming inside smartbomb range (not all though) so I rarely have to even use small drones. Regular frigs are no problem for Ogre II.
I do not use guns on it, because I do just not feel a need to do so. But I got Drone Interfacing V, Gallente Battleship V, etc etc -- Paxton Industries Recruiting.

I like a little "slower" but making more isk approuch
1 agro gun, 3 salvager, 2 tractors
5 t2 cap recharchers
2 Lars, 3/4 active hardeners 2, 1 EANM 2, 0/1 dama control 2
2 ccc rigs, 1 armor ammount rig.
Can perma run reppers. While killing i start salvaging right away while drones kill the rest. Two flys with one smack ... as we say in danish

I've found they last longer than 3 cycles for sure when nossing battleships, and they also lower ships' repair cycle chance and therefore frequency. With maxed out cap skills, the nos prolly isn't necessary, but with low-medium cap skills they're helpful in my experience.

Since I was attacked in a complex once I set my Domi up for PvP. I'm not giving you my complete setup, you can think of a good PvP yourself. But yes, blasters II and e-war mods are part of it, best AB you can get, same for LARs. No mission specific hardeners, but protection, which will help me against Pie-rats. I have yet to test this...

Well, I had maxed my cap skills before flying my Dominix, maybe that's I've found the NOS so ineffective ...
And yes, I should have said something about the "size" of the NPC you try to NOS, that "3 cycles" thing was over-generalization on my part.

Sustainability: you can run everything and keep them running forever pretty much... until you have to repair then the SB and Repper have some cap consumption issues.
Resists are all over 60 if you go multispectrum on their ass. the armor is over 18k with the armor rig and the 1600mm plates, but you could swap out a plate for a DCUII and have 13k armour and better resists. my drone skills arnt brilliant but just swap for tech 2 where appropriate.. i use a wide range for the simple reason of needing faster drones when bored or impatient.

I donÆt know what some of you guys are talking aboutàöDual 250s suck.ö ôDual 250s use too much power grid.ö
I only have AWU 3 and I can fit the following:
Hi 5x Dual 250mm Prototypes / Tractor Mids 2x Optical Tracking / 3x CR IIs Lows 2x LAR II / Beta CPR / 4x T2 rat hardeners Rigs 3x CCC
I can practically perma run everything. The guns get a 20% dmg bonus with my lvl 4 BS and I guarantee this setup will finish missions a lot quicker than someone using NOS, medium guns or only drones to kill with. With rigs in the game there is absolutely no reason to fit NOS in the high slots unless youÆre short on cash and canÆt afford the CCC rigs.

are you actually suggesting like a fool that its better to use hybrids on the domi than drones, with battleship four you also get a 40% increase in drone damage, plus with a good tank you dont actually need to be at the comp to see all those cruisers and BC,s pop like a marshmellow being sat on by a fat kid... the domi really isnt a rail ship especially not for PVE for PVP then hell yes go for the hybrid set up assisted by drones for pure insane DPS, for PVE a calm and considered approach is always needed... lol hybrids better than drones... did you get malled by a slaver hound or something.

I guess I assumed drones were a given with any Domi setup. Didn't feel I needed to specifiy drones in my build. I was mearly pointing out the fact that a NOS/Drone setup was inferior to a Gun/Drone setup.

fair enough i will gracefully conceed to your previous point, i will say however that NOS is perhaps a better option for someone with limited skills in areas that reduce the amount of cap your repper uses and also for people who cant afford CCC rigs, and also out of personal opinion and out of all the rails ive used the duel large ones seem to be the weakest, but maybe i should go look into them a bit more.

i used a domi for a very long time for mishes (considering my time in eve) and i freaked out on a lot of setups.
the first thing i would advise you to do is install 3x ccc rigs. one might say a pg rig would be good for using real guns on it. i just cant stand those dual250 or even worse mediums guns. but thats just me. but i fear even a pg rig wont help you much if you want that dual lar tank.
and if you got all them 3ccc rigs, you get a very very versatile domi. you can (dual)armor tank it and go for drone mods or a web in the free meds.
or you can actually shield tank it. 6x carbide 425mm rails(cpu) (or maybe blasters for some mishes) 1x XL SB II 3x Invul II 1xcap recharger II (or maybe a web when you fit blasters) 6x PDUII 1xMagstab

In 2 days I'll get skills needed for Domi, and, based on my lvl 3 mission experience I was thinking about this fitting for lvl 4's (don't have skills for some of these but have some of the stuff already). I haven't done any lvl 4's yet so I'd like oppinions why it would or wouldn't be a good build and how to improve it.
High: 4x Dual 250mm (eventually 2x 425mm for long range if needed) 1x Drone Link Augmenter 1x Heavy NOS
Medium: 3x Cap Recharger II 1x Webifier 1x 100MN AB II
Low: 4x Mission specific hardeners/EANM II 1x LAR II 1x 1600mm Rolled Tungsten 1x CPR II
Already have 2 Nano pump rigs and 1 CCC rig (these I am going to use for sure).
And of course mission specific drones.

A note, my style is to engage at maximum range with guns and sentries to take out any fast moving ships, then switch to heavies and move away from the main group to maintain range. As a consequence, I don't take much damage.

Just carry both Antimatter and Iron charges and you should be able to hit all the way out to your targeting range. Anyway, guns don't do nearly as much damage as drones.
Quote:
Medium: 3x Cap Recharger II 1x Webifier 1x 100MN AB II
Don't bother with the webber. You should pop frigates at long range with your rails or sentry drones. If they get too close for your guns use light or medium drones to mop them up. Put in another cap recharger or a drone navigation unit to get your heavies to the target faster.
Quote:
Low: 4x Mission specific hardeners/EANM II 1x LAR II 1x 1600mm Rolled Tungsten 1x CPR II
I personally don't bother with the armor. I'd put in a second LAR, CPR or hardener instead. Sustainability of tank is more important than raw armor.
