There was recently a thread posted on Vivox testing on Singularity in the Game Development Forum. Tentative release date is Q1, probably late February depending on how the testing goes, so get in there and help testing! Helison Gallente Times of Ancar THE R0NIN	Posted - 2007.01.29 12:52:00 - [11] Well, there is one massive problem connected with Vivox: At least in the current test-patch it has an continous downstream of 10kB/s, while TS etc. only send data, if anybody is really speaking. Combined with the lower voice-quality I only download a few MB on one evening with TS and I would download about 150MB with Vivox. As my download-amount is restricted I would get problems with using Vivox.

I am playing with no sound for over a year now because of the FPS loose you have (did have if it was improved). And how its working if you use 2 clients when you alt tab ?? Agreed, without the ability to select output devices (independently for game sound and voice), it will also be useless for me.

No matter how altruistic they are, the guy at the top ultimately runs the business so he can Buy Nice Stuff (tm) Extra features = extra money. That's how things work. Live with it.
