I wouldn't call it completely silly. Rokh range bonuses are for Hybrid turrets. It doesn't specify Rails or Blasters, so you've got a slight edge in range that you can use to your advantage in a pursuit scenario. Even if you give up a little DPS, you get a minor alpha strike advantage if they have to come at you. Even moreso, given that on direct approaches, its not unheard of for rail/blaster boats to hit slightly beyond their falloff range if its inside of their sensor range.
In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device. |

A rokh armed with blasters + Null can get some seriously silly blaster range. That may not sound like much, but that means it has to move significantly less distance to start firing in optimal, and in the event its fighting another blaster ship, it can web it and hit for full, while the other boat will likley be fighting in falloff.
If you need damage at close range, theres no reason not to go with blasters if you have the skills for them. If you need to reach out and touch someone, obviously go with rails. Different guns for different people that need to die

An active tank Raven with Siege and neuts will do the job of damaging and *****ing the enemy's tank and sustaining itself much better. __________________________________________________ Sup brosef! Destry's Lounge is looking for a few good drunks - contact me in game.

imo...rokh = rails + lots of range thats wot makes the ship good!!!
i used to fly a rokh..and now fly a hype...so i can make the comparisons from first hand experience
stop talking out ur arse please
rokh pwns as a blasterboat, at least i pwn hyperions and all other close range bs's in it solo
and in gangs its even better cause with null u hit to nearly 30km... no mwd really needeed, but i always fit one
Lol I was wondering when LeMoose would show up and tell someone to stfu. ;)
My Fits tend to look a little like this...
HI. 8x Modal Neutrons
meds: MWD T2 Fleeting Web Disruptor 2 2x Invul fields 1 LSE
Lows, DC t2 3x Mag Stabs 1x PDS
Rigs 2x Sheild extender Rigs 1x CCC Rig
5x Hammerhead drones.
-----
its a stupid fit, and caps out after like 5 and a half mins with my skills, its bloody funny to fly tho.
large HP Buffer about 700 dps with drones. not great, but its how i hang, sure LeMoose is gonna pick it apart, i suspect cause i cant fit blaster boats to save my life :P rofl.

The Rokh has much more powergrid and much better tank, I changed the setup slightly to this:-
Highs
4x Arby sieges 4x Heavy unstable power flux
Mids
MWD Heavy cap booster II (800s) Warp disruptor/Target painter 2x Invul field IIs 1x LSE II
Lows
3x BCS IIs 1x PDS IIs DCU II
Rigs
3x core defence field extenders
Still haven't been brave enough to try it yet and still unable to decides what drones to use, I could go with TP drones to increase torp damage or ECM drones or just go for the extra DPS of combat drones but I cant decide.
