I can't remember where it was but I DEFINETLY remember seeing a video of T2 battleships flying around. It was a 5 minute video and at the end the author put "please don't ban me CCP"

How does a high cost conflict with the support role?

Advancing any tech whereby you base the design off of an existing design is to improve performance, not move laterally... If you do move laterally, the cost should represent that as well, but we all know that it won't... T2 BS's will cost at least 8X more than their T1 counterpart...
New tech is supposed to make old tech obsolete, something CCP is afraid to do...
1400 II's make 1400 I's obsolete, same should go for the T2 Tempest hulled ship...

im pretty sure none of those stats are final.
I also think the skin is pretty ugly, pure black skins take away the sexy detail of a ship, just look at the nighthawk

Took forever to DL that vid but pretty cool. My opinions on the ships in that vid follow (NOTE: YMMV):
1) Apoc is as is shown in the screenies in the OP. Pretty cool but not much extra there (paint and a few engines) 7/10
2) Geddon. Very slick. Love the chrome effect. 9/10
3) CONCORD. Meh...dingie splash of paint. 3/10
4) Dominix. So-so. Still looks like a flying turd pile...just with a little more color. 5/10
5) Megathron. Can do better than some headlights although those are ok. 5/10
6) Scorpion. This one rocks. Actually looks like a scorpion now (or some nasty bug). Mean looking. 9/10
7) Tempest. Always looked like a piece of junk. Now it looks like a Chinese Junk (in fact I bet that is the model for it). 6/10
8) Typhoon. Can barely tell the difference without being up very close. 3/10

I seem to remember a while ago talk of Flagships, or screenshots of their stats. These were Tech II battleships, and I imagine they were going to be what the current Command Ships are now. It was however a good long time ago now. As it is a Tech II battleship wouldn't fit in with the balance of the game if it followed the Cruiser -> HAC route for instance.

I'd say the nighthawk's pure black with panel reflection/specular is possibly the sexiest of all the hulls out there.
actually, what takes away from the nighthawk is the same bleedin' hole in the mesh as the ferox, letting you look through the hull into space, which I can't help but notice every time I look at it :/

Alot of the T2 BS's and a few other ships have been in the DB for a while now if you goto Grismars DB and type in elite whatever t1 ship name it will provide you with the respective t2 versions theres even the roden t2 thorax or silver domi which is so sexy. Plus it provides the ingame show infos enjoy

That role has been given to command ships. Afaik only CCP has an idea of what T2 battleships will be used for.
I hope they will be an improvment over the T1 versions for both pvp and pve purpose.

That's fully fitted stats I think, notice the 60% resists to hull which would indicate a DCU II fitted.

seeing that they will not seed these babies bpos.. it means that they have to be invented taking huge amount of effort making one.. the cores will prolly be a few month worth of cores then the chance base of getting the bpc at all..
building one will take the effort of building a mothership prolly in time aspect and i am sure they will add so that you need an outpost to invent with (the so called outpost upgrades, they talk about)
so these will not be common goods i think..

afaik they are called Flagships.
The name probably matches their role, a large ship oriented towards Fleet command. Since they are trying to split the blobs, Im assuming more fleets will be required to do the job soon, and a ship that is designed for fleet command (command ships are too weak to lead an entire fleet IMO) would be perfect to lead.
Would certainly be nice to get a ship that gives gang bonus's ala Titans without needing warfare links or a Titan.

I dunno, but that black apoc just screams 'bigger damnation' to me, which is probably going to mean it will be yet another 'heavy tackler cause it sucks for anything else' type ship to go with the all the other craptacular khanid ships.
Pretty sure there won't be any 'HAC' style t2 bs's as they'd just be too powerfull(one can wish tho hehe), however imo, we don't exactly have a shortage of 'gang/squad/wing/fleet commander' ship options, so why they'd make more seems kinda dumb and shows a lack of creative spark.
Who knows tho, I'm just guessing. They could be bs sized-citadel-spewing-stealth bombers for all I know.(Viziam ftw)

My Sincere hope is that CCP extends the command ship genre into "Flagships". Ships meant for pilots that actually DO have the Fleet Commander skill trained up. A ship were it only makes sense that there be one or two in a fleet (due to gang module bonuses).
But damnit CCP, make a new model for these!!!

While I love the graphics in eve, the problem is you never see them outside of the hanger or warping.
Make the t2 ships pink, it wont' matter since we are all zoomed out anyways.

Viziam you mean. The T2 geddon has an identical color scheme to the zealot and Purifier (chrome silver and plain gold), which is Viziam. Carthum does plain gold and red, like the Retri, abso, and Pilgrim.
Oh, and the Scorp is Ishukone, Buzzard/Rook/Eagle developers, fantastic choice there <3

I'll take this account to voice a concern about CCP's ship texturing.
Who in CCP thought that applying Jungle (or any other earthly kind) cammouflage paint on a SPACE ship was a good idea?
I'm thinking about the Minmatar fleet ships and some of those ships shown in the video.
If it's a frigate capable of orbital flight, why not, but you simply are not going to make me believe a Fleet Tempest can land on a planet and let's not even think about taking off again.

Erm, Khanid can have the abaddon, it's got enough cap issues at the moment anyway, why not just leave it gimped with 'the best shield generators outside Caldari space' with armour bonuses and missile slots?

Perhaps it's just a remant that the matari kept to strike fear into their opponents and such : P there are caldari characters that wear camo, it's even more useless inside a pod.

If you have a blueprint. you are pwnage. if you don't have a blueprint. You are just bait, waiting for someone like bob who holds at least 1 of the majority of t2 blueprints :)
