There's more to numbers than just numbers, and you should know that.
Quite simply, capital ships are in a class of their own, dreads especially so. Putting our 20 dreads against your 40 dreads is suicide - your 40 can push out roughly 160,000DPS or more against a single target. Nothing can tank that, period. You could melt our dreads in seconds, and no amount of reppers or hardeners could stop that. For us to put our dreads on the line in a situation like that would be the height of folly, and we're not stupid people.
It doesn't matter if we have 300 to your 100, if you have 40 dreads to our 20. We're not going to commit dreads against those odds, it simply doesn't make any sense at all.
Which is not to say that we're not going to continue fighting. We'll just need to change things up a bit for a while.

However, no-one wants to fight when hugely outnumbered, not us and not you which is why you sensibly brought in outbreak and MC.
Not blaming or criticising you for it, but dont try to pretend any fight last night would have been an "even" fight when your friends had about 40+ capitals in the system as well as outnumbering us in terms of normal ships.
In the same way that if we out blob you by 3:1 then there is little skill in the victory its just a product of the numbers. Similarly last night was not a question of skill it was just numbers and ship types.

As for the fights, we were perfectly happy to engage you last night despite being outnumbered and intent on killing a POS which is lawys risky, right up until the point where MC and 0utbreak jumped dozens of capitals into the system at which point it became redundant as we were never going to put our dreads out in that situation.
Also I must remember to log off when I say I am going to and not sit chatting about the MS loss in corp chat while I get probed out 
yes we're pretty handy with those probes
"Oh lets outbid fatals mc contract" because outblobbing us every night hasnt been enough?
It does trouble me when foes i have fought for weeks suddenly think its not fun to fight against the odds, when they have had at least twice as many active piliots as us every night, really not worth complaining about tbh, we didnt until you argued you were for once out blobbed.

out of interest, 400 local, approx 70 in cap gang, 100 in fatal gang and a support gang of about 60 for the mc support.... thats approx 230, with 170 in local being you, hardly outnumbered to a huge amount.

well, we are fighting in not 'even' fights pretty all the time since siege bagan, so i dont know
at least u guys were in good situation, cause you could just not pick the fight and cyno your capital ships out without any consequences. but one day that kind of capital fleet will visit ur outpost...

come on guys isnt it about time we gave up this silly pos war and got back to less boring squad warfare.
its obvious that fatal aint gonna lose with the fact that there willing to buy mercs and its just as obvious that alone were no threat to your pos's so why not just do a non pos war kinda agrement and stick to the things we enjoy
