I can understand where you're coming from there.
It was not our intention at the start of this to do anything to provide good fun fights for you guys, or to try and keep the numbers even. As I'm sure you're aware, our objective was to remove Fatal from space, replace them with someone not aligned to LV or BoB, and get some valuable combat experience as an alliance - most of us are old corps, but RULE is new.
The good fights were a welcome surprise to everyone, and Fatal have been incredibly tough opponents.
But at the end of the day, we have been fighting for a while now, and I asked the other guys to come help, so we can get this over and done with. Don't forget of course that you've had Chowdown in his titan (unexpected as that was for both sides I think), and 0utbreak to help you.

Actually lag wasn't too bad considering how many in system, 300+ and the node didn't die!
I was at the pos most of the time in ym- and even with the support fleet there and FATAL and all the drones and fighters it was minimal lag for module activation. On second thoughts I really should fraps.

I would have to agree. The lag was rediculous. I would warp into the battle and enemy ships wouldnt even show on my overview. Getting shot and taking damage with no targets is the win!

Anyway, though I logged in a different TX than my usual one, I could not handle the lag in B-7 with the amount of people there.

Having been in ASCN, I can attest that this wasn't quite the worst lag experience ever, but it was pretty bad. I was with the support fleet on the gate and while I could activate mods without too much trouble, they seemed to be stuck in a state of perpetual deactivation afterwards.
Overall with the number in local it still seemed pretty playable. Looking forward to some good fights this week with less lag hopefully.

The first and second times we warped in to shoot the dreads, it the lag was not too bad, if you dont mind waiting about 30-45 seconds to load up.
After that things got much worse for me.
Hehe I was primaried 3 times, twice I got out but the third time I never even loaded up the pos. Boom... scratch one more Megathron.

Yup, tried dropping one or two but those (officer?) smartbombs just make the phsyisics of it almost impossible.
I think it's an interesting stance point for many of the people in the new area that have come into this war. Assuming we were a BoB/LV pet. We moved here to get away from the politics of old, and while ofc we have friends in both it was never our intention to plant any coalitition flag up here. If anything it was your actions that placed us in alignment with them, not our intentions. It's just now a question of whether or not this will ever come to bite u back in the ass, i guess the southern conflict and one or two other things will determine that.

Its true, alot of us like you ppl but at the end of the day you would always help our enemies and not our friends, and your helpers underline that, Lv EpeenExtenstion and Bob "Alts", both extremely effective in combat.
Lets get this over so we can go join the real fight ffs. Praeludium to success

Don't tell me all this started because of the One fleet fight we had (which as i understand it was a lot of fun, missed it personally though)?. If we wanted to nit pick, we could look at the few recon pilots that came our way during the construction and completition of the outpost. I don't frankly care for that though as we knew there's gonna be PvP'ers in the area and the odd recon pilot keeps our npc'ers on their toes.
We left LV, we left that conflict as we didn't agree with it (Omaha is ex-RUS ), but it seems that we have been dragged back into it.

The Southern conflict has an extremely low fun factor. I somehow doubt that it has become any more enjoyable in the light of recent developments.
Besides, having a good enemy around is worth 10 friends, we keep your pvp pilots happy with the pew pew and we prevent your alliance from becoming filled with freeloaders who are there only for personal profit. Being surrounded by Blue may give your carebears a warm fuzzy feeling but I doubt your combat pilots will feel the same way. I know I hate seeing nothing but friendlies everywhere I fly.
I can assure you that we had not one drop of interest in actually trying to take your outposts from you. If we had we would never have bothered building our own. Now the war has come to us and we plan on going out with the biggest bang possible. In the face of these odds we are very realistic about our chances, but we will not surrender.

Tbh, i don't mind fighting outnumbered.
The worse the odds, the more the challenge i suppose.
Though, last night was annoying. The lag was to much. Like initiating warp and 5 mins later we got some response.
I guess being a sunday with 35k player¦s online had something to do with it also.
Anyways looking forward to some more fights.
edit: btw fitz, which home are you defending?

Ace, I expect lots of us to go south really soon, and fight in the big war. After that war ends there will be lots of standings reset, and a lot of blue will be red very soon.
People have different reasons to be in this fight. Some have established a presence in these new regions and don't want it to be jeopardized by this new team. It is in a lot of people's interest to reduce any presence of BoB/LV or any associated party up here (station contains Dice hangar). On a corp level, I think lots of us in IXC really wanted to go back to 0.0 after the collapse of ASCN forced us to retreat to empire.

well after reading most of these posts im a little disapointed at the ascn spin doctors.
its hardly a secret that ascn has broken into smaller aliances to avoid the attention of the bigger alliances and now are trying to control the area.
the universal nap that is ascn still and always will be a target for either gank squads or larger alliances and i think that when on a offensive are dangerous to an alliance our size but defensivly will be easily destroyed as by a more competant pvp force simply because of the quick response organisation needed between the new alliances that make it up.
i mean joining up for an offensive against a small alliance is easy and not very concerning compared to defending against a hostile force that has already taken them down once.
im sure there was a lot of sighs of relief when the new bob/lv offensive started and im sure that after thats all over and done with that the new ascn nap fest will be a focus of there attention.
i honestly think that you guys should have waited b4 tipping your hand. by joining together to fight us with the flimsy excuse of concern because of bob and lv was a bit short sighted.
ask your self this if a big alliance comes into this region will you all have a call to arms or will you just watch a hope your not next, i think the latter personly after a fortnight of combat with you guys.
still even if by some chance we do lose the outpost it will just put us in a position to do what we enjoy most ie:
running wolf packs and 30-40 man pvp ops out of a npc station.
hmmmmmm i wonder who we will go after?????????

No not at all, we have assets to kill. We had a small pos before it got urber blobbed :D that sure taugh us a lesson.... oh anyway.
Our ships die and we have put them to risk (we've done some really stupid stuff and got away with it especailly against larger numbers).
You kill our ships (we dont have many) you kill us off. Just people really (seriously mean this) make too much fuss when we get involved with stuff. You either blob us or wear us down..... what do you do when you get the choice? We dont moan about the blob its understandable considering what had happened to you guys in past engagements..... but you know we arnt gonna be singing in your praises for it... that sounds fair right? FLA had the great approach to this when we went for there gate camps.... they turned away help from IRON to fight us on there own, we knew they didnt have the expirence but certainly had the numbers... we gave them mad respect for that.
There seems to be a big memory block on when we helped YouWhat? The north shall never speak of this *deep echo'y voice*. But paranoia and conspiracy thoughts will always remain... so we will use them :P
You guys need this victory bigtime. Think everyone knows Fatal will lsoe this outpost, but they dont wanna give up against huuuge forces.... so yea makes sens for us to want to help no?:P We know our 15/25 battleship fleet isnt and shouldnt make much of an impact. But i'm not your FC if you need extra help to speed it along.... knock yourself out.
You guys will lsoe out more as you could of had a good sparing partner in Fatal for expirence with improving your fleet manouvers and operations would only help... not like anyone involved cant afford to lose the off Battleship here and there.
Although the way you killed our FC and target caller Elarra In the first engagements was great and very well observed... I dunno how you worked out he was calling for us his not happy about that! No doubt he'll be a wee bit upset i mentioned it again :(
