First, came Taggart Transdimensional and their magic tech 5 mining laser. Now comes news of the most powerful alliance in the game being supported by CCP devs spawning BPOs worth billions for them. And, you know what they say - if you get caught for two crimes, it's a safe bet you've gotten away with more. The mere fact that you banned a player who brought your missteps to light is the icing on the cake.
My time in Eve has come to an end. My character and various expensive stuff will be given to friends I've made throughout my years of playing. I can't abide these repeated incidents of outright cheating on the part of the very people who made this game. If you want to get in touch with me, I'll be on World of Warcraft's Arygos server playing as "Thrakhath". At least there I don't have to think about GMs funneling thousands of gold coins to players they like.
Thanks for the fun times, the opportunity to be published in a magazine, and the trip to Iceland (Anna, I'd seriously marry you) - but you guys have got to get your shit in check. Signing off...

I've always though highly of you, Istvaan.
But quitting the game over rampant tinfoil-hat speculation before the devs even finish their inquiry, and then joining the exact kind of game you spent years denouncing because it was nearly grief-free and lacked the kind of possibilities EVE had?
I don't like to say this, but don't let the door hit you on the way out.

It's a shame that someone who got away with things, without cheating, and always explaining how he did it in a Scooby Doo manner; is leaving the game because of people who had to resort to cheating to get similar advantages.

Reading this post brought an uncomfortable feeling in my gut. Istvaan, wait a week or tow before making your decision, more might come out of this.

Feh, you're the reason I started playing Eve: that PC Gamer article that seems so long ago now. Not that I thought what you did was admirable, but the very fact that such things could happen made the game seem so intriguing.
So thank you Istvaan, for opening my eyes to Eve. Its just a shame that current events will be driving many of us away.

Never understood why people admire someone like you Istvaan. But then again lots of of them said they started playing because of you so I guess you deserve recognition because of that. EVE will be a more boring place without you but then again I¦m still happy.

Istvaan, if you didnt know, in last months PCGamer UK they had an article on the World's best Gamers. There was Fatality from all the FPS games, a bunch of guild wars / starcraft players, and you. ♥
