The Eve Pyramid Game

I welcome you to the start of a brand new project called The Eve Pyramid game, a system completely built around one single idea, to make isk fast and with minimal effort. Im sure that some of you are getting suspicious just by reading the topic of this post. But lets carry on and let me introduce how TEPG really works.
The Eve Pyramid Game is built around solid principles well rooted in the science of algebra and traditional Pyramid gaming. To some of you the term Pyramid may be new, and on the other side, some of you may even have participated in real life Pyramid systems.
TEGP works this way:
-You either join up as a standalone user, or you have a referance person wich you will inform the system with upon joining. TEGP uses a one time fee of 50000000(50M) isk which you pay up front when you join.
-Your job from now on is to find two new people to join up, with you as their reference. This isn't mandatory, but it will help you grow your tree a lot faster. If your two members find two people each, this tree of yours will actually grow in exponential rate, which means for the non algebra proficient people, really fast!
Alright, how do this generate money for you then? Lets look at a best-case scenario:
Each of your members will pay 50M isk as you did and you'll recieve 30% of it from each one. That means that if you find two members, you'll already have 60% of your money back. Alright, on the next level you'll get 30% from 4 people, thats 15000000(15M) isk coming in from 4 people. This is a total of 60000000(60M) isk + the 30000000(30M) isk you recieved from the previous two you joined up wich results in a total profit of 90000000(90M) isk. This means you've already made 40000000(40M) isk with only 6 people in your tree. Alright, from now on things will really start to look interesting. Each of those 4 people at the bottom will find two new members, which you will recieve 30% from. Thats 8 X (50000000 * 0.30) = 120000000(120M) isk!!!. This means that by this time your total profit is 40M + 120M = 160000000(160M) isk. Now you can start to see where this is heading. On the next level you will generate 240000000isk and you'll be 400000000(400M) isk richer. And this is only on the 4'th level!!!. If we look down on the 6'th level you will have a total of 1840000000 isk. This is a *****ing 1,8 billion isk!!! with a total amount of 126 members in your tree. There's really no point in calculating any further. As long as your tree is completely balanced, the thumbrule is that the profit will be double of the previous step in the tree.
Ok what is the downside in all this?
Well the scenario above is modelled with a best-case scenario in mind. And the system will strive towards achieving a totally balanced tree. You have to remember that TEGP doesn't only accept people with a reference person. There will allways be people joining up with no reference person which TEPG will use to balance out your tree! This means that if some members of your tree doesn't find two members, TEPG will simply put the non-referenced persons in the gap in your tree and you'll still achieve that balanced effect you're looking for.
What happends if the tree is growing unbalanced? well with balanced we mean that each member has two submembers and all members that dont have submembers are on the same level. If lets say some of those members only have one member, your tree is non-balanced. If we look at a small example, things will be more clear:
You have found two friends that join up with you as their reference person. But only one of your friends finds a new member. This leavs you with 3 people under you. But since this tree is unbalanced at the moment, you'll recieve the full 30% of the first two members, but only 4/7 of the 30% coming off the member your friend joined up.

This doesn't nessesary mean that your profit is lower than it should be, because once a level is completely filled out with members, you will recieve the last percentage such that you end up with 30% from each one. TEPG will help you out by filling in persons in your tree, but you should allways aim for that balanced tree for a maximal profit.
Alright, all these details may sound way too technical to some of you, but let me assure you that this is really not that complicated at all. All you have to do is sign yourself up, either with a reference person, or alone. Then you find two new members which join up with you as their reference. You can from then on do two things.
-Sit back and watch your tree grow, and ofcourse watch your wallet go blink blink :) -Create more accounts, and ofcourse, make more isk
Now im pretty sure that some of you are still a bit sceptical about paying off 50M isk, due to all these scams roaming the eve universe, but let me assure you that TEPG has no such intention. First off the pure time making the system with the database, the programming and the planning has taken way too much time to just waste it on a scam. Second the character you will be dealing with ingame is my main account, and i have no intention of having a character which everyone hates. Thirdly this character is perhaps someone you know. Sly Fang was selling bookmarks before the revelation patch and im pretty sure i have lots of customers that can tell you if im reliable or ever tried a scam on escrow. Im gonna spell it one more time, TEPG is not a scam, and it never will be.
This little introduction of this brand new system can in no way cover all the questions you might have, nor does it show an in-depth example. For those interested in reading more about the facts and the technical details, and ofcourse those that wants to JOIN, check out the swf file for an in-depth look at the TEPG system.

Edited by: Lord WarATron on 12/02/2007 08:58:31 Scam - There is not enough players in eve to support more than 3-4 layers. Meaning the guys at the top make the isk while everyone else lose's out.
How about I setup a pyramid and you send me isk?
lets say each person recruits 5 people
Layer 1 - 1 Person Layer 2 - 5 People Layer 3 - 25 People Layer 4 - 625 People Layer 5 - 390,625 People
Since Layer 5 is a dead duck, those only in layers 1-3 make isk. --

So called Pyramid games are a scam in real life and are considered a crime and punished as such in most countries. -- War is like any other bad relationship. Of course you want out, but at what price? And perhaps more importantly, once you get out, will you be any better off? |

A classic scheme - what could be a more fitting response than a classic debunking?
There are only about 150,000 subscribers in the whole of EVE. After the first 16 stages of the scheme, some 2^17 - 1 = 131,071 people will already have signed up (assuming that the tree is balanced). I wouldn't want to be among the last 20,000 people left, or the 2^16 - ~20,000 = ~ 45000 people in the 16th stage who wouldn't be able to find anyone else.
So out of 150k people who could potentially take part (assuming that they all have assets of 50m to invest), only about ~85k would stand to gain anything at all, which the remainder would lose. I wouldn't mind getting in right at the beginning if I knew that I could recruit enough people, but frankly I prefer reselling T2 goods if I want to swindle people ------
So you're lagged out in Motsu/Saila/Aramachi, but you want that CNR? Do missions for another corp! |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme
Quote:
The people on the bottom level of the pyramid, no matter how shallow or deep it goes will always lose their money. It is easy to see that the number in the bottom level of the pyramid always exceeds the total of all those in the levels above no matter how many levels there are. If each level must recruit 6 more below them, the ratio of losers to winners is close to 5 to 1 - ~84% of all investors will lose their money. The pyramid in reality would not be perfectly balanced and some members might be able to partially fill their number of recruits, but the same principles apply.
Oh, but you already know this ________________________________________ First atheist amarr on EVE

I suppose that we have to give Sly some credit for at least admitting that this is a pyramid scheme.
Most scammers would have described the scheme as a quadrilateral-based pentahedron or something.

first of all, thanks for an objective answer. The thing is, you are talking about a maxed out pyramid. In this particular case you are right. However the problem with this scenario is that its only theoretically possible, in a real time situation, the tree will not be 100% balanced and the pyramid will not have the entire population of the eve universe in it. You are saying that the people down at the bottom wont have any profit. This is false. If they reqruit people under them, they will profit, but in your case, there aren't any more people left in eve. Just to point out a pathetic factor, eve is expanding and the number of people isn't fixed. So in theory the pyramid will never run out of people. Pardon my typos :)

You are right in 1 of 2 things. This is most definately a pyramid scheme, but its not a scam. Just to point out something, several large companies are actually built on a pyramid structure. The problem with alot of the famous pyramid schemes that have failed in real life is that they are built upon a poor framework that collapse due to people not reqruiting, and old fashioned technologies, and ofcourse, they are not legal but thats not the issue here.

Lol =)
This works in real life (some get a lot of time in prison etc, but.. hmmphhh..) I've read the entire text Sly and i "bought" it.. hehe.. Havent seen any money yet though :p But however, if this really is a scam its only 50M. If this ISNT a scam, and judging by the look of your responses, I'll be some of the first in the pyramid so.. :) Anyways, I like the idea though, even if its a scam or not, because its a great idea! Never been done in any MMORPG before as far as I know..
I'll let you guys know when/if I recieve any money =)

Point me to one rule where is says "no ingame pyramid schemes"? perhaps its a bannable offense to deal on inside information regarding t2 bpo's? , i think your argument is pointless. We are not talking about real money here
