Yes, the proud Oppression Palace of STK has been downed.
But so what? Motherships are made to be used. The Palace has served us well and has killed a bunch of stuff and served as an important logistics tool. It was destroyed in battle, as it should be. There are some screens around so you all can see the amount of capital ships shooting it - a very impressive show of fireworks I gather.
In the long run, the loss of the Palace doesn't matter that much. There will be a Palace II, and III, and IV, up until we run out of Rocky Numerals. Then we start on Rambo Numerals and start building Nyx's.
And those of you saying Helen will be known as the first pilot to lose a Mothership, I can only quote Jonathan Hedstr÷m, a hockey player here in Sweden.

there were 78 capital ships in system if I counted correctly and it lagged as hell that my client freezed for 2 mins when warping to hostile fleet, and ofc i died too.

Show a little more respect. They've outlasted your invasion for almost 3 weeks now dispite the fact you're combined invasion force has six times they're member base and you bring 2-2.5 pvpers to their 1 not including your massive capitial fleet. Regardless of the outcome, they deserve NOTHING but respect.

It may have taken five minutes total at tops.
Helen warped in to the POS solo while myslef in a carrier and Stradavarious in a Naglfar were idling after disconnects.
sorta just dumbfounded for a second, i was wondering if she was going to attack me as i was only 5km away from me. I hesitated to launch fighters as i figured faction smarties were likey. (she had 4 of the ffs)
after about 30 seconds of staring and just locking, i dropped ogre I's and strad went into seige(i think). She popped my ogre's in 3 seconds, and i launched a few more waves of t1 heavies, but found no reason to throw away fighters. (60 t1 drones lost total) Helen made no offensive actions from what i saw. anyways, i went for a chimera bump and got it as the support fleet started warping in.
They hit here with two bubbles out of SB range almost immediatly. She had velocity, but i do not know if it was warp velocity or not.
The support fleet hammered on her for a minute or so with me and strad. we did no noticable damage whatsoever.
Then the capital fleet warped in and once everyone got into seige she dropped in about a minute and a half.

Reason the pos came top was I had spent the few hours before warping in on FATAL pos's looking for people stupid enough to stray outside, of course in retrospect I was one of the stupid people who strayed outside pos shields.

The support fleet hammered on her for a minute or so with me and strad. we did no noticable damage whatsoever.
Then the capital fleet warped in and once everyone got into seige she dropped in about a minute and a half.
Slight correction, I never CTD'ed, I was crippled by a visual bug and the confusion from said bug, several other experienced it after the fight, basically everything appears in the distance from you visually, while showing at tremendous distance on the overview, despite showing at all... Was 4.4 AUs in this case. We gang warped to our target POS but for some odd reason, it never warped me, I had thought I warped with the rest and engaged the tower showing on my overview, which turned out to be friendly  Helen warped in and was untargetable by me for at least 2 minutes but my tank was holding well with both helens fighters(yes she went down fighting) and the pos shooting me(I had gone into siege when I thought I was attacking a hostile POS) Despite the bug, I had less then a second of module lag once I was actually able to get a lock.
Despite being the only dread shooting her for 2-3 minutes while the rest timed out their siege cycle at the target POS, I'm pretty low on the mail, probably from trying to shoot her with arties from what appears to be about 10km from pictures :P , she showed 4.4 AUs to me the whole fight until I relogged after...
Apparently I'm good milf bait :)

Thanks MC and FATAL....you guys rock.
It was pretty awesome seeing our Capital fleet join with the MC big tonka toys, a sight I wont forget for quite a while.
I must also say that this weeks conflict has seen little smack from either side, so thanks to everyone for the fun. The only thing better than a dead enemy is a respected enemy, hats off to you all

I must of been the only guy who had not noticed that non of our capital pilots were with us in the BS fleet.... was quite teh supraise to see them just pop in local when they did.

Changes nothing in the long run, Fatal outpost is still going to go down within the next week or two.

Tell me about it dude, i spent a day or so getting ready for this. Then yesterday my new pc arrives and i start building it.
In between building it im back and forth on ts, im reassured nothing's happening just yet and then next thing i know i got an msn saying 'warp to me now!!' warp in, helen is 5.5 au away and then i see her wreck.

Given that several of your pilots were posting on the AAA thread about us being on our way to YM- whilst our support were still 10-15j out, I'm guessing you were tipped off and we'd lost the oppurtunity to kill your dreads anyway.

Phrasing it as a "cry for help" was simply disrespectful of their tenacity and skill. The fact that they couldn't match our capital fleet was a tactical problem, and they've implemented a solution. Nothing more and nothing less.
This whole war has been one tactical innovation after another, with one side gaining the advantage and then losing it the next. There has never been a greater opportunity to learn so much in so short a time, and I for one relish it.

From what i've been told repeatedly (in alliance and out) Fatal did not hire MC. I've been told Fatal have some friends in Delve that did them a favor. Perhaps some BoB/MC/Fatal can confirm the details? (the other rumor was that Fatal sold all their t2 BPOs to afford MC, but that one has been discredited i think, anyhow the world wants to know)
i had my covops in the middle of that mess and the dreads warped literally right on top of me, one of them landed 3 km off my side. I spent the next 5 minutes or so about to **** my self and wriggling my way out of the mess (managed to stay cloak by some miracle). It was a spectacular fight. Helen tanked about 3/4 of what they brought and didn't seem to be hurting too much until the last of several dozen dreads showed up. MS are powerful as hell as Helen showed, can't wait for Oppression Palace 2 :)
What should be said is how sorry all involved are for the poor dread flying SOB who get himself stuck at the other POS. siege too early bud?
