Id like a support/drone BS but i dont think that will happen.

Lol - I was thinking more along the lines of a drone boat for amarr. If you think about it, they have a curse/arby etc - The only ship that can be classed as its eqivilant is a geddon with 5 heavies. But thats not really a 'drone ship' - So how about having the bs version of the arby?

Thought so.
Minmatar have alot of great ships, and the most variety.

drone boats are kind of a gallente thing despite the arby and it's t2 counterparts being amarr.
i'm curios to see what he has in mind tbh.

I'd like a Drone boat, rearly upset me when the teir 3 tunred out to be another gunboat.
I want some variation in amarr battleships plus drones are somewhere on the amarr traits, Lasers, armour tank, drones.

Drone mode all the way, but limit the drone bonus to em maybe, that way it stays true to the semi-useless Amarr team :p
the apoc has no turret hardpoints on its model btw...

A good drone ship would be nice, no use nerfing it just because gallante will complain. Though i think it should be less "heavy" than gallante drone boats.
Im thinking more support role like the arby.
Amarr use drones too, Arbitrator, Curse and Pilgrim are amarr. Despite being of "gallante" design whatever that means.

Thing is the apoc is tier 2, the domi is tier 1, the drone apoc will be better... it can have a heavier tank and more nos

Huh, could've sworn drones were decended from 'fighters', and those were invented by Caldari.
On a side note, something tells me I better get on training my missle/drone skills..
Regardless of what becomes of this "oomph", just wanna say thanks to CCP for dropping some info finally.

what I don't understand is how the 'oldest' race has to borrow all the tech from other races... Caldari Shields/electronics for Khanid, Gallente Drone ships, Minmatar projectiles.... oh wait... =)

Seriously though - I'm quite mystified as to what CCP has in mind for the Apoc. If you look at the other races, each have battleships that fit different requirements -
Caldari has EW, the ultimate PVE/missile battleship and of course the long range sniper/fleet battleship.
Gallente has a devastating/cost effective drone-boat and two gunboats that can be used for sniper/fleet or blaster work.
Minmatar have two gunboats and hybrid battleship. (minnies may argue that they are also hard done-by here - particularly ahead of any speed-tanking nerf).
And us Amarr pilots have 3 ships that perform the same task in very slightly different ways (all 3 are gunboats, one does more damage over a priod of time, one lasts longer and the other has a higher alpha). No real choice for variation unless you try something like using projectiles on the Apoc for example.
It would just be nice to have a battleship that is something other than an out and out gunboat. Perhaps we could have some kind of EW boat or, assuming Nos gets nerfed eventually, a Nos-boat that in some way compensates for said nerf (like the ECM nerf and associated adjustments to the ECM ships). Not a solo pwnmobile but, like the scorpion, a huge boon when used in a gang/fleet.

Why not give it...
10% bonus to turret optimal range and 5% bonus to capacitor and ROF per lvl.
(yes i know every minnie under the sun is gonna whine about it but in the end it boils down to the fact a "laser" should have insane range and BBQ the world with amazing precision. Otherwise we wouldn't be devoting so much time to stop pewpewing with bullets and moving on to pewpewing with lasers in the real world)

No three bonuses on the apoc, it wont get it. Dont count on an optimal bonus either.

Give the Geddon a drone bonus instead of the RoF one and increase the size of its drone bay.
Give the Apoc a 10% large laser optimal bonus instead of one of its existing ones.

9000 cap with lvl 5 in 2 skills on a battleship is pretty nice... especialy with its 5 turrets 3 nos and tri rep:D and 52% increase in rep amount from rigs.
along with 75% resists across the board it makes this beasty tank as well as a carrier=D

Leave the Apoc alone. The cap bonus is just awesome. 9000cap and the extra recharge it gives helps run a dual repper like nothing else. The laser capacitor bonus actualy lets you run other weapon types with no penality. Ive always heard that an autocanno apoc was pretty tough.
The abbadon makes the arma kinda redudant. Why have 2 specilized laser ships? Change the arma's ROF bonus to a drone bonus. Increase its drone bay, and change its slot layout from 8-3-8 to 8-4-7.
