You still have the players, and the parts are greater than the sum.
You'll be back up and running in no time.

So, when someone scams an auction, or ganks a carebear, or whatever else -- that's all completely copacetic, but this isn't? How often are people mocked or laughed at for getting taken advantage of in deals or fights?
I'm failing to see the fine moral distinctions people are making. Sometimes stealing and taking advantage of people is okay, and sometimes it isn't? I see people from alliances here posting condolences that have cheated in various ways themselves right and left, and who worship the GHSC, but this is some especially lame thing?
I don't really get it.
That said, I don't cheat, never would, and would never even think to do something like this corp theft. But it's funny to see people who, in other circumstances, praising those other things being so critical here.
Personally, I'd like to see the general tenor of conduct in Eve raised. More and more, it just seems like whatever you can get away with, you should. By that logic, this guy just made off with multiple billions. Good for him, I guess, at least by that reasoning. I don't agree with it, but plenty of other people do -- including people who have posted in this thread.

I think the thing that is so jarring about this is that it wasn't like 'Annnddd, 20 Feb is the day I unveil my evil plan to clear out the corp and screw you all over. I've been planning it since the start! BWAHAHAHA!'
It seems more like he's just had a tantrum and is packing up his toys and going home, except he's taking everyone elses toys too. Not to mention screwing up standings and generally doing everything he can to rub salt in the wound. He's no master scam artist, he's just an unstable baby.
To be honest, the signs of his instability have always been there, and it's true that we kind of let this happen, but often the best leaders are those that are able to walk the razors edge of their own madness.
This is posted from someone without a long history in the corp, but with a long history in the group most of ARS C's membership is drawn from. It's gratifying to see from the posts in here that most of Eve know what kind of a group we are and are wishing us well in the challenges we now face.

Achilles was always, always, an *******. However, until today, I don't think that anyone in the corp doubted his intentions as our leader in the slightest. He was always focused 100% on what would make the corp stronger, and because of that, even though he was incredibly tactless, most of us would've followed him to hell and back.
And then he threw a hissy fit and did this.
It is almost impossible to describe how much of a blind-side this was to anyone who hasn't been in Ars C for a while.
Regardless, all that he took was virtual goods, and all that we lost was one friend, who... if he was willing to do this to 150+ people who trust him, I cannot see as much of a loss. In return, our player base has become more unified, and more determined to overcome what he did to us.
Still, I almost hope Dante is right. The man deserves the 9th ring for his actions this day.

This doesnt suprise me with Achilles. After his erratic behaviour right before he left Huzzah I knew something was up. Then his personality to me and many ex-Huzzah became (your creative deragatory adjective+noun here). I saw him repeat it again and again being mean spirited. Now to reword qoute what he told me in local as we fired on his wcstabbed caracal 'Say goodbye to EvE' (changed Axiom to EvE, lmao)
Ars C no matter what people said about you guys you where and are still great bunch of pilots. I never had trouble with you. I am deeply sorry and hope you come out wiser and richer after this lame underhanded attack. I know you will.

Feel your pain guys, nothing worse then when douchebags like this think they can just play with people's time and money the way they do..
I would advocate a stickied forum topic with a list of all the ropesucker's names listed in big bright red letters so other corps/alliances know who never to consider as a part of their team.
Sad part is, most of these people are just as big of scum bags in real life as in the game..

Although the situation itself sucks, it is valid gameplay.
Kinda like shooting n00bs at a station when they loot cans
