How about the entire Battlestar Galactica soundtrack? I think it fits. And how about adding some Battlestar-esque camera work as well... you know the shakey sort of style they have in space...

You mean the camera work they completely lifted from Firefly? --------

Hmm I thought I'd posted here before... nevermind.
To me, nothing beats Dragonforce. Especially their song 'Through the Fire and Flames'. Other bands of note that I listen to are Nightwish (with the old singer, not the new one...), Rhapsody, Stratovarius, Avantasia, Sonata Arctica, and Within Temptation. Other 'power metal' bands like Children of Bodom who have a singer who sounds like he's trying to **** out an elephant while being electrocuted...... no thanks.
Oh yea, and Weird Al Yankovic is great for when you're bored ;)

anything by tool. personally aenima is THE album for me. just the fact that they printed bill hicks face inside the sleeve, is gold. it never gets old. its not nu-metal, its not hardcore, its not speedmetal, death or anything else. nothing comes close to this album. maynards voice is fantasic. the way he sings Pu****.. the intensity of hes voice perfect album. just ask jamesw
also mars volta project's Frances The Mute Cassandra Gemini - wow.

Catch them live if you haven't, especially with their new drummer who's beyond amazing. The new album in January should be something special. --------

On another note, it distresses me how many people here listen to nothing but metal. _____________ Only two things are infinite - the universe, and the amount of people who have the same god-damned Einstein quote as their forum sig, and I'm not too sure about the former.

I generally like psychedelic trance for combat, favorites album;
Scatterbrain 'Infernal Angel' Hectic, darkly themed fullon psytrance rich with soaring synth melodies that feel like electric turkey knives carving through frontal lobes. I've never found another album which so perfectly utilizes voice samples from film and TV, ranging from starwars to 2001: A Space Odyssey and even one from the brady bunch "More spaghetti Mr Brady? - Mmm! Alice, what kind of mushrooms did you put in this sauce?". Always gets me in the mood to go 8k/s with autocannons blazing. "If only you knew the power of the dark side..."
The universe is hostile, so impersonal, devour to survive, so it is, so it's always been.

Can't find this anywhere, even through 'nefarious' sources. Sounds very much my thing though
