What one person finds offensive, another might simply find rude, and another might find amusing.
Eve is a multi-national game. I'm sure there are hundreds of names out there that busy bodies could find offensive if they put their minds to it.
actually the phrase is 'the dogs *******s' so your name is rather polite :) and yes, as a brit i got what your name meant and it's not offensive to me (and i dare say any other brit) at all.

If GM Fire takes offense to me posting his message confirming the mistake then that is a sad state of affairs if we have to go through our gaming lives making sure we don't offend people for passing on a message which they have given freely.
There is nothing offensive in the post it's just to notify people that yes GMs are human and make mistakes (Not that it was Fire originally) and that Yes you can actually get a result from them when you bring it up.
If anything the GMs should take that as a compliment that shows they are approachable by gamers and do correct things and try to help us.
If it is an Extreme sin then I will let them Snip it out of the forum as tbh it wont offend me. If anything it will make the above statement i made a complete load of crap.

Knew there was more than one reason I hate forums.
1. Rules :P
2. Smacktards
3. Uselss info
4. No one ever reads what you type, in the manner you actually mean it as there is no emotion in typing.
ie. U can talk in TS/vent and tell some1 to F off after they flame u and he will laugh at you. Do it here and it's a cardinal sin.
5. You post a GM message resolving the main issue of this post and it's a cardinal sin. You put a Container in Space with the same message and it sits there till end of time. I'm not saying this is right but I am saying that contexts should be considered in a game that is played worldwide.
PS. Due to the my nature of Hating Forums and my point has been made here I refuse to continue posting here anymore. But please fell free to keep commenting on this issue as I have past the link to GM Fire so he can also review it and decide if their process of name nerfing can/should be refined to better incorporate players from all over the world's interpretations, customs and slang interpretations.
