When they 1st started they were laughed at, ridiculed(sp?), and there was a certain stigma that came with... but now I see many corps with quite a rep joining the alliance ie. Kemono/Coracoa Ardente..to name a few How does eve view them now with these newer additions? To those corps with a nasty rep...how is it, do you enjoy the increased tgts? Also have you guys seen increased war decs now that the alliance is not made up of unfounded pvp'ers? again I do not intend this to be a flame to any of the members in the allaince or any corps there within, I am merely seeking info...

T'Renn Crimson Squall	Posted - 2007.02.26 05:14:00 - [3] Privvies have my respect for being a royal PITA if you're in an 0.0 alliance and trying to do stuff up in empire highsec. Now that I'm outlaw full time I'll never have to deal with them or worry about them war-deccing my corp (although if they did, much lulz would ensue.) I respect a few corps in Privateers as PvPers and the idea has worked well. Beyond Divinity are serious business. I'd bend over backwards to get Ugluuk in my corp, but he's way too nber and I know it. Danno also gets props for popping the first Deimos I ever owned within 30 minutes of me purchasing it. For the most part, I will say that during all the time I fought Privateers, they never once smacked in local. They were always very professional and I was impressed by that. I know they're a thorn in the side of a lot of my friends right now but really I think they're getting a lot better at what they do and I say hats off to them for it. -- Wanna be a low-sec scumbag?

Urduar UrdCorp Enterprises	Posted - 2007.02.26 05:52:00 - [5] I think if anything it just emphasizes the fact that Privateers is nothing like any other alliance in the game. It's simply allowing corps to use game mechanics to pirate in highsec, which is why it's such a clever idea. Given that, BYDI, Kemono, Coracoa Ardente are not "Privateers", they're BYDI, Kemono, and Coracoa Ardente now with the ability to attack targets in highsec. You can basically ignore the alliance tag under them, as there is no real association between them and the other (by definition, due to no restrictions on the Privateer application process) completely random people and corps in Privateers. It's a little silly reading all of the threads flaming "Privateers" as an entity when in actuality every corp (and in some cases, pilot) flying under their flag is pretty much totally independent of one another unless they choose to fly with another member, and does not deserve respect or shame based on the actions of totally unassociated people. It'd be a bit like flaming (or giving props to) someone in Deep Core Mining because of what another person in the corp did. It's simply a license to attack people in highsec, not a fraternity.

I like to think about privateers as an idea, like the license you are talking about. But corps in privateers have to fund the wars afaik. Im no CEO, so i dont know. But also i get to fly with alot of different corps. They are very nice people, and if i fly around myself, they are always nice to invite me to their gangs. I will always support their initiative to spread the pew-pew into High sec, even if this time it was a bit of a pain in the butt. Worst was that they scooped my loot when my alt was 3000 meters from it and closing, then they had the audacity to salvage it right before my eyes. Anyway keep it up, high sec needed a wakeup call. I agree with most of you already.I to think it is the corp that makes the name for them selves not the banner they fly for.Although not to many peeps know us so we would prolly have that stigma attached to us before hand. I would like to join for the tgt's but I am not sure I can convince my corp to join.....ahwell... thnx for the upright responses

We aim to kill whatever we find. Take yesterday, we killed another carrier, unfortunatley I was 3 jumps out when it popped :(

A couple of times their members have started smacking me in local without me saying anything in the first place and other times when I have collected things for new ships in places like Jita I see them dropping cans on the exit points, and camping other places that would hardly give anyone a decent chance due to the lag etc. I like the idea behind what they do but a few tosspots really put me off them totaly.

1 Man	Posted - 2007.02.26 15:59:00 - [17] I think they are gutless. When its 1v1 most will run, when they are up against it and have 2v1 they dock and call for 10 other privateers to come. I have also noticed a lot of privateers in my address book all the time I see privateers log off and then back on in a few seconds. So either Privateer alliance for some reason get crap internet connection or more than likely they are Ctrl-Q to escape death. They are also targeting alliances which are based in 0.0, so they can pick off the odd 1 or 2 people who go to empire for some business, get skills, sell stuff etc. This is just an easy fight. When a fleet or small gang is out to find them they all dock or run away.

Some of the best PvPers I've meet in this game I met in privs. DoFA were top notch across the board, others like x13, Kemono, ect bring a good rep and I look forward to flying with them. The exact opposite is also true, some of the worst and most annoying I have met here also. Same thing is also true of flying styles, some like to take easy targets, some like a challenge. Bottom line is BYDI joined to do the same thing we did before, dec people and shoot them, just on a bigger scale now. Respect or disrespect based on that doesn't mean much. Talk is cheap until you back it up.

Let me tell you one thing Xendie..Your ceo challenged me to 1vs1 to death once and ran from the fight when his blaster/ab setup didn`t hit my faster setup with rails and mwd. Another guy who was celes member at that time Goldenboy ransomed one of my guys..And when he got the isk he blew up his pod.. In my situation you say im a cheater,dishonorable guy cause of my alliances actions( people i dont fly with for the record).. This was YOUR OWN corp`s actions so if what you say about any member of the offending corp automatically becomes dishonorable i must say: Welcome to the wall of shame where we all are guilty as hell.. I also asked if his mate was dishonorable..Afterall he dropped from the game too.. But apparently a Celes member who drops from the game when i undock and launch drones is acceptable..
