As of 21:50 eve time ISS has surrendered to KOS in C3-OYD.
We wish to thank our friends who helped make this possible.
In addition, we would also like to express our admiration to ISS for the manner that they conducted themselves during the last few weeks of combat. They have been enjoyable adverseries that engaged in combat even when the numbers weren't overwhelmingly on their side and did not engage in "smack". It was a refreshing change from normal fleet ops and I think both sides had some good times.

Good bye to POS warfare. If there's one thing in EVE that's really depressing, it's playing 'POS pingpong'.
It's a good spot. Enjoy it.

Constant combat since december has been heavy on all sides, and this end has been a while in coming.
Now we can put this entire unfortunate "war" business behind us and concentrate on actual, profitable business.

Edited by: Tiuwaz on 27/02/2007 22:20:32 I have nothing but respect to give for the ISS members who have fought in in c3-.
It has been fun fights and they showed spirit even when outnumbered, and most importantly it was a very civil and respectful war in c3-, something which isnt that usual anymore.
Also Kudos to KOS they were very dedicated and deserve this victory. ___________________________________

To KOS you are all class chaps in my book. Its been an honor to fly next to you.
To the ISS pilots who killed and also died in C3- defending your home you are all class as well. Thank you for the very good local banter that kept such a boring game mechanic ( pos war ) very lively.
While we are still -ve to ISS, IAC will be pulling out of C3- and KW- to allow KOS and ISS to work without interference.
To the eager IAC that might post in this thread... if you have nothing good to say then don't say it. In fact, don't say it at all. KOS and ISS deserve the respect and dignity they earned fighting in C3-.
Until we meet again ISS best of luck.

Bloody till the very end, it has been a drawn out battle. For a bunch of industrialists/profiteers we fought as hard as we could, now, to the victor goes the spoils. It was a fun few weeks and the rest of EVE could learn form us all as to how to conduct a war civilly. Enjoy the station KOS, we all know you deserve it. For the record, there are a few of us who'd been willing to fight on until the the bitter end, but with KOS's large POS majority in system it was only a matter of time.
As I understand it, we have no intention of switching sides, this is us leaving the fight altogether. KOS & friends beat us fair & square. Now we can finally have a break from POS warfare. And the bugs....
C3 is a nice little station & patch of space IMHO. Take good care of her won't you?

I guess I will break my normal one post per year... this deserves some comment... During this long War I had some of the best fights of my life...
I met old enemies and made new friends.. In the beginning the war was hard for me due to the smack talking raging both on the forums and local.. But after that last and Extreamly memorable fight where I charged my carrier right on top of that huge IAC fleet .. and died I might add (but my tank still held out well LOL) I noticed a very positive change...
There was no smack talk in local.. only "good fights" and "well dones"... that right there is why I play this game...
For the enjoyment of it.. and the friendship and fun you can have with others around the world...
In a way I am sad to see the war end... because to me the last few days felt like a REAL begining.. I am proud to be ISSN and I am also equaly proud to have met IAC and KOS on the field of battle and walked away knowing I tried my best...
So in closing.. thank you KOS for bringing a great fight.. Thank you IAC.. for without this war I would not have learned the full potential that I could become..
Who knows.. maybe one day we will meet again.. this time as friends.. and maybe you could let me in to old Marginis so I could get the rest of my stuff LOL!!

I have to admit the fight in c3- was a great one not because KOS and IAC were able to win but because of the overall atmosphere that was presented by all involved.
KOS owes many thanks all around for our survival as an Entity in EVE after the LV betrayal.
Especially to RA and to TCF for allowing KOS to reside in their region to recover. And to Goons for their fleet support as well as to IAC for the same.
KOS was once a stronger alliance and we've seen harsh times. However through it all we remained resiliant and determined to recover. We lost many good corps and got rid of a bunch of leetest know it alls who tore KOS apart from the inside.
KOS has made many failures in the past but now we have experience behind us. We also have found friends who actually hold to their word and do what they say their gonna do.
As for ISS I know you guys were let down by LV. The self professed greatest alliance in the game was too busy to help you. Which rings a familiar tone with all of KOS, you have our sympathies. But with that said I want to thank Chowdown in LV for his close minded behavior for without KOS would probably still be waiting on their cap fleet to rid wicked creek of RA and TCF towers. And for war dec'ing KOS when we agreed to a 1 week NAP with RA to fall back to empire. How dare we think for ourselves and practive self preserverence.
ISS u have my respect. Any member of your corps willing to stay and reside in the stations you have surrendered who stayed and faught... you are welcome to Join my corporation especially those in White Nova (the two time former KOS member corporation) and take some of the grief back to LV along with the other Coalition Alliances.

As a Finis member i should be gloating over ISS' demise, however, It appears to me that for the first time ISS has shown honor and courage...something it had lacked for a long time.
Congrats to all sides and im sure ISS will invade the new regions and cause more trouble in the future.

Congrats to KOS, IAC and others that made this happen. As for allowing you to get your stuff out... I dont think so. Those who ally with BoB will be given no quarter. Try to remove tyour things and we will try to free it for your pocession. Do not look for any mercy from us.

Goes to show you that all members of the coalition are not equal. The Goons like to speak for the Coalition but they will not honor surrender terms granted by their allied forces. . . . Regards, August |

At least you show your true face, that the word of you and your allies is worthless. The goons are the true cancer of EvE and one can only hope that the coalition realizes this before its too late. It makes me really sad to see all those brainwashed enraged alliances follow Goonswarm so willingly.

If KOS want to let ISS pass fine, but we wont. There is no curteousy in war. They chose the wrong side and now they will be destroyed. If they are allowed to get thier stuff out and rebuild, and come back; they can be a thorn in our side. You have to have a killers instinct in these matters. When the war began I gave everyone a chance to join us... they did not take the offer. Now they will be destroyed. To those of you who are upset about it, its only because you are next, and you do NOT have a chance to change sides. This is what happens when you choose the side of cheaters. Be prepared we are coming!

lol i love these BE kids throwing their opinions around like they have been involved in the war for as long as entities like KOS or RED or LV. KOS was given a pass by RED maybe they are just extending that favor towards ISS?

that was part of the reason you guys got to where you are. we were assaulted repeatedly on many fronts by many corps/alliances while you guys put up your first mess of POSs'. after a month of this and a SoV loss and takeback, after we'd been worked up so much, you stepped in to finish the job.. all the while IAC and goons were paying semi-regular visits to lock down the system, etc.
yes, you chose your fights.. not criticizing, it was a great strategy.. it worked. but you didn't do it alone by any means.

You act like you've been fighting this war for a long time. Wake up dude, the RA vs. LV war has been going on in 1 form or another before your character was created. And on top of that you just joined it.
But, anyways at least the forums are interesting to read now with the morning coffee.
