Sirus, the point from Bella's standpoint is that the freighter alt Geneticx is a BoB alt, but is not a Vegeta alt, which is Fenian. Vegeta scammed a freighter, also apparently scammed himself into a mothership, Outbreak kills a BoB alt freighter in a brilliantly designed and filmed move. Some satisfaction given TWD's response, and we all (including Bella and Vegeta btw) love the video, but they still owe Vegeta some payback. :)

Best. Video. Ever.
Love the stakeout approach too.
They do that kind of haul twice a week every week? Woof! No wonder they can't have Freighters drop loot!

Originally by: Waagaa Ktlehr As to cost calculations and in-house vs out-sourcing: it's called opportunity cost. You either compare market value vs market value or build cost vs build cost.
Even if everything destroyed would be built in-house, you could still sell it on the market for profit if it didn't go boom. So with the ship loss, you also lose the opportunity to make that profit.
In the end of a day, something lost has a market value and it should always be valued as that. :)
Indeed. And just as simple as that is, just as hard is it to get it into the heads of ppl. I can't possibly remember the countless times I've tried to explain to someone that has lost a HAC for example that the loss was the market price no matter what it was bought for.
Although a slight modification of the truth, since putting anything on the market instead of destroying it increase the supply and lower the price - but in most cases the volume is neglectible.
Good to know there are other people out there who understand this ...
After tons of threads and posts I have about given up trying to convince BoB (or rather get them to admit) that their HAC losses arent insignificant because they are cheap to build.

To Derail you, in the context of pure marketeering and full value yes, they do hurt the same.
But in contrast, if an alliance that has no HAC bpo looses 30 hacs as opposed to bob who have all the BPO's, the cost differential is one of Sustainable versus Depletable income.
IE, 30 man corp all make enough money to buy a HAC through NPC'ing.
Then they blow it up.
I whole HEARTEDLY aggree that a HAC loss is a hac loss, but with production available and quantities available, it's much easier to recover if you have said production (like in bob) as opposed if you didn't.
Secondly worth isn't all encompassed in ISK value, it's time and effort.
People without BPO's will spend less effort in re-upping the loss, because a day of ratting and boom new hac. Loosing a plethora of t2 ships means production times and profit margins on a large scale take a hit.
Either way, good job on dealing with a scammer.

you mistake my argument about whether karma has anything to do with the kill, with me caring about the kill itself.
my first post compliments every facet of the kill, and my second makes clear that im not being sarcastic.
I corrected one thing, that being that the scammer himself was not in the least affected by the kill, and then twice fended off atempts at straw man arguments to the contrary.
this is the last i will say on the topic, because if you havent got my point in 4 posts, you wont.
just to be redundantly clear.
10/10 for planning. 10/10 for execution. 11/10 for documentation. 3/10 for justification.
