o7 CCP and capsuleers.
Currently corporation has limitation of only 1024 contacts with standing. Me and my corp are living in Providence and strictly follow NRDS, so we have a lot of people in KOS-lists, which of course exceeds this limit. Every month I clean this list so I can add more capsuleers, their respectable corps and alliances into this list. Is there possibility to make contact list limit to maybe around 10k contacts or something like that using new servers, which was installed? If not, well, I'll continue to clean list once per month.

Better implementation would be tailor ACL to work as overview color source. Aka. CVA KOS list as ACL that is the distributed to corps in it or related. And then the corps would mark that "mark people in the ACL as red". |

One of the many reasons NRDS doesnt work:)
but the problem here is scale, even if this is at the corp level adding a full order of magnitude in storage space is not a trivial amount of data. not to mention the required database complexity and calls... which all need to happen in near-real-time. It might be possible to make this stuff work, but i forsee that as being the big stumbling blocks... |

a better way to do that would be to use the access list feature. Set a list to a standing and anyone on that list is given that standing to you.

Setting standings towards a corp, set standings towards all members of that corp, or at least it seems to work that way for me.
If this is indeed the case then instead of listing all characters a simple standing setting for the corp should mark all members of that corp and that would eliminate a lot of your effort and a lot of entries in your contacts list. And in the end who and for the most part who the character is is not all that important while the corp usually is. |

Yeah, I know that and, if it is possible, set whole corp or even alliance as red. But, well, there are even more reds.  |

This is the inherent issue with NRDS. You have far more reds than you have slots to track them.
This is why CVA has their spiffy KOS website.

From what I hear, they have two KOS apps for Provibloc as a whole. I imagine that makes things a nightmare. Is this true?
CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

You could start by taking my corp off the Provi KOS list. I mean... shucks, we get a route to provi maybe 1 per month. You guys would be a lot better served putting some evil pvp corp on the list than us. I mean.... seriously..... does anyone even know why or when we got put on it?
If you can state on here how and/or why my corp is on your list - I'll support your cause.
If no one can justify when/where/how/why my corp is on the list - It should give you some insight into your actual problem.

Nearly everyone they have ever heard of is on their KOS list. If you are NOT KOS to Provibloc, it means they have never heard of you.
