We just implemented a server side fix to a few agent woes. We appologize for any inconvenience that they may have caused. The fixes include:
- The bug which caused agents to refuse to admit a player completed a mission is fixed. This happened if the player completed the mission on a separate node than his agent is on.
- All players who lost standing since the Castor patch have been reimbursed with the standing they lost. Players who gained standing or have the same amount of standing are unaffected by this change.
- The time bonus rewards for agent missions were handing out far too lucrative rewards for about a day after the Castor patch was implemented, due to a bug. The super-rewards some people recieved, such as blueprints, will be morphed into blueprint copies or switched to the appropriate reward.

I did some missions for a Duvolle Lab Agent.
failed one becouse the bug. did around 10 after and suddenly it says i havent got high enough standings???

quick workaround: relog after mission completion and before returning to base,
also ;: return to base and then complete the mission by leaving the stuff at base the agent asked for it at and no bugs occur

Wether you get a new one or not, the previous will be counted as failed. Thus if you did 10 missions you got a standing drop 10 times... :(

Those players who encountered the complete mission bug and lost standing due to this will be reimbursed after the patch which fixes the problem. So if you lost some standing due to this situation, you will recieve it back soon enough. Please refrain from petitioning about this issue, as we are going to deal with this on a global scla,e and not case by case through peitions!

Wierd. I tested them a bit on Tranq myself and they were working fine for me. Was this an old mission? If you can reproduce this again then let me know.

At 22:05 I did an Agent NPC Kill mission and the NPC's failed to drop the item I was supposed to bring back to my agent. The misson was called "Damsel in distress", I had to kill Krull and 2 henchmen in Luminaire for my lvl 2 Roden agent in Aporulie and bring back 1 unit of The Damsel, I got 10 Thunderbolts, 100 A-M M Ammo and 10 Defender missiles instead.

I also failed the damsel in distress mission due to the bug luckily still was able to do missions after,only because my standing was way hi before the caster patch.so i hope that hotfix patch is going to be soon:)

I set destination to bookmark, go there, warp to them and kill the 2 rats. They drop 46 slaves, 1 slaver and 1 prisoner (might be several, I'm not sure).
I go back to my agent (Hegnedan Aldelrind), and asks for the reward. She takes the prisoner(s) and then tells me I need to bring them (prisoners) back to finish the mission.
I will have to wait for the mission to expire, and loose faction :(

That rogue slave trader mission is fixed but the fix isn't on tranq as of right now (will be put in during the downtime probably tomorrow). It was using a feature that was bugged and somehow slipped by us.
However you are able to quit the mission, you do not need to wait for it to expire. Simply speak to your agent and tell him that you wish to quit the mission, he will offer you a new one (with a slight standing loss though, but waiting for it to expire would also have a standing loss).

Are you suppose to get a standing loss for offered missions when they expire? I know before castor you could let the timer run out and nothing would happen. Has that changed or is it a bug? Should I petition this?

I had a strange bug last night. I did log a Bug Report but I'll put it here as well.
I was reviewing a mission and had not accepted it. I had set my autopilot to the place I needed to go and accidentally undocked before I had accepted. I aborted undock and when I went to accept the mission, it was as if I had refused the mission. My level 3 agent wouldn't talk to me for 13 minutes and I lost stnading, so I couldn't run missions for her.
I don't know if this can be reproduced as I did not want to mess any more of my agents up. It was rather strange. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else.
This sounds like a similar thing to the guy above.

Understood, this should mean I get back my pre-Castor '6.0' standing which was reduced to '3.0' post-Castor, correct? Or does this only apply to pilots who lost standings due to complete mission bug?

I guess this remark will be regarded as a random rant and it will be flamed by the involved parties BUT :
ZRAKOR what do you intend to do with the people who received tons of BPS and skills because the loot-table was totally fluked? Those people now have nice stacks of those items and can earn a bundle of money selling them on the market, unlike other people who didn't have the chance to do missions at the time ect...
Just a simple "oops we made a mistake" doesn't suffice in this case. Restore this unbalance please.
Sure all you lot who profited from the bug will call me a jealous ranter, but it are these kind of inbalances that are ruining the game.

well in anticipation of the patch I did bout 500 missions on various accts I had 5 chars with lvl 3 agents
now I'm down to 1 , the patch has restored none of the agents I lost
I lost 1 agent due to him turning in to a research agent (of course I only had that one on 2 accts) Aid Hieur for Roden , I was under the impression we'd receive a new agent in this case.
I lost 1 lvl 3 agent due to that slaver mission failing
And the 4th due to a mission incomplete
On my last acct I'm down to my last agent now
I checked everything apparently corp standing was restored but not agent standing so basically nothing was fixed imo

Are you aware that after the server HotFix agent standings have not been corrected.
I had 2 missions for 2 different Astral Minning agents who both said great mission completed and then when i went back to the station the missions still where waiting the 'i have finished' click.
My standings because of these 2 'failed' missions are still -.01 instead of the .07 i was at.
Also I have an agent for federation customs who is spamming me every few minutes with 'I can no longer await your response to my offer. I am displeased by your indecisiveness.' the agent is Brune Fallkin and my standings with them is steadily dropping am now at -.03
If you could acknowledge that the dev team is aware of these issues that would be great and we can all rest easy as I know I am not alone in this situation.

Zrakor, as you seem to be keeping an eye on this thread, I thought i'd just tell you about a mission briefing error I had last night.
It was given to me by my lvl 3 Ammatar agent
I had to go and kill a Sanshas rat at a gate in the system, but the description of the mission kept refering to Blood raiders. Not serious, but was kind o' starange.
Also are you aware of the mission briefing text changing during the mission I've had this issue a couple of times. On one occaision it seemed to change to the mission I had just completed

I have the exact same problem occurs only when i open the Journal so far the time has expired about 108 times judging from the no of messages waiting for me.
The loss of faction rating at 0.5 ish is so bad i petitioned under missions in progress after all i cant do much if i cant open the Journal to find out what im meant to do. No reply to the petition as of yet. Im at work and cant get on eve at the mo.
Any news on this one would be greatly appreciated.

This morning I did a lvl3 agent mission that said it would give an implant and it was no bonus things involved, just like the type as before patch for implants but other goods to fetch, and I had 2 h to compleate it but it was rather close so it took less than 20 minutes to fullfill as the dest was where my agent is. so I got a successfull mission but no reward not anything but the colleteral paid back????
So 20 mins for nothing realy..and I was so eager to see if I would get anything else than the usuall implant I already got a lot of before the patch...if not the invisable type :)

As for the agent telling you your offer has expired, that may have happened after the offer expiry period was changed from 1 month to 24 hours, during the "hotfix".

Alrighty then, let me go and look up the names of the close to ONE HUNDRED people I had to tell to file petitions because exactly that had happened to them, either this morning or since downtime today.

My level 3 agent is still not accepting me. I lost him due to a mission bug (kill the theif) and the HotFix did not change anything for me.
My rating is still down with him and it is not going up at all. All I can do is level 2 agent missions now and after competeing about 4 of them my rating with my level 3 had not changed nor has my standing with the corporation for whom I am doing the missions.

Some missions are still effed. Rogue slave trader mission is junk. The agent takes your prisoner and nothing happens.

Can someone please help a noob out. I started the first training mission and I am now stuck, having completed the mission, and recieved my reward, and yet the agent still says the mission is incomplete. This makes learning the game difficult as I cannot progress. I tried moving back to the station that I was supposed to take the certificatons to and then coming back, still nothing. Is there any help for a noob here?

I'm having issues with agents taking prisoners and also data sheets, and then claiming that the mission isn't complete. Had this happen three times since patch. The famed Rogue trader mission, both yesterday, and also today after downtime, and just now Stop the thief.
Fairly annoying, I must say. Think that for now I will not accept any mission that require me to bring any of the 'special' items anywhere. 
I did notice that the items that the agent stole this way, did not have the (1) in the lower right corner, while both the slavers that I got in my hangar now, do.
Incidentally. Anyone from Oracle want to buy those... Or P.I.E... Highest bidder can have 'em.

first of, i would like to say that i had my lvl3 agent working the first day, i got a mission i did it... i got that mission error that couldnt complete so the mission failed then.
they said faction would be fixed, i guess it was but now my agent is telling me i need a a faction or so of 4.6
tahts funny because before the max with lvl3 agents was 6... so everything is half.. i started with 3...
but now he wants me to have 4.6 to talk to him? how fair is that... that fail mission as not my fault i did it... its a bug so i dont see why it shouldnt be fixed, so i could use that agent.

Hmm does anyone care about people who only trying to get agents? My corp standing going up by only 0.01 every mission what I do. Quality of agent and level doesn't matter. I have in corp old L3 agent and bunch od level 1 and 2 agents.
My corporation standing is around 2.99 so I can't use any other agent from that corporation because they need at least 4.5 standing. Does anyone imagine ho w long I need to do mission to get past 4.5? It's 166 missions! Get real now when one mission is average 35 to 40 minutes?
Yes standings improve by mission was lowered but to this extend? It's harsh! I want to play with guys in corporation not do months only agent missions.

I¦m pretty confused about the agent system. I could immediately access all Lvl3 agents of an amarrian corp i had a standing of 0.21 with. After 10 missions it grew to 1.32. I checked the standing transactions and had a "important" mission that gave me 9.3% standing increase.
Is that intendet?

Yea, and I made the mistake not accept a missionoffer from a lvl3 agent. I lost standing to him and he is not accepting me anymore. Can I do anything about it?

Guess I have to chime in also. The first mission I did with my level 3 agent after patch (on the 17th) I completed remotely, collected reward and colatteral. I returned to the agent's station and it was like I never did the mission. I lost standing and now I cannot run anymore missions for this agent. Today is the 19th, after hotfix and I still cannot run missions for this agent.
So, at least for me, hotfix didn't resolve situation.
But aside from this minor snfu I love this patch.

Still cant talk to my lvl 3 agent, been 2 1/2 days now and only been able to do compelte 1 lvl 3 missions.
I think the problem in my case is because i got refferd to my lvl 3 agent 2 days before the patch and only did 15-20 missions for her my standing was never going to be high enough to use her on castor. Currently my standing to her is 2.81 and it needs to be 3.25.
I was under the impression that any lvl 3 agents we had before castor would still be available to us after the patch (standing being irrelevant) and for one mission she was. however after failing a mission she has realised i dont have the standing to use her. Restoring my standing to what it was before castor wont work considering she was reffered to me, not given to me based on my standing.
Whatever was done to flag up the fact I could use her without the correct standing on the introduction of castor, needs to be done again. |

Everything is great. Thanks for fixing my completion faction lose. I did the rescue mission and killed that 20k rat. I got my damsle. CCP rocks. Not only did i get 31k isk from my level 2 agent i got a 31k isk time bonus....... EVE is the greatest game and I am getting more people to start playing.

Before the patch my security status was 0.4 after the patch it's now 0.1 what gives CCP. Did I miss something.

Pre patch many ratings displayed rounded up numbers. So in fact you could have been just above .4 prepatch but more likely you were below it.
Post patch it does not round up. So if you were .399999999, then halve it with the patch implementation, and you would be .199999995. Display would be .1.

Before your fix I had one time reward for 2 original ammo BP. Since your fix my time rewards are like 1900 to 5000 isk. This has been "slightly" toned down indeed. Please pay more attention to the newbies in the future fixes and patches.

The 2 original ammo BP's were a bug, not a tuning issue. The hotfix to that bug tuned things down too far, yes, but you can't fairly compare the BP rewards to the lousy ISK rewards.

My biggest beef with agent missions atm, is time bonus missions. Like oh please jump 10 jumps within 20 mins and deliver this and that.. Its a tease to offer time bonus's when its not realistic to make it within the time outlined.
The past 30 hours or so in EVE I just focused on missions and ended up with like 2-3k Polytextiles as bonus rewards and some anitibiotics, but thats all, had one important mission that rasied my standings and thats it.
Im not in favour of recieve uber stuff each every mission, but would be fun to just recieve something good at least once in a while that give some push to carry on doing the missions.

Zrakor's fixed the time bonus issue as far as I'm aware of. There'll be better bonus awards soon again on TQ. Just still suffering from backlash from the great agent BP giveaway...

Anyone else doing missions for SOE and got any skills at all? or anything better than polytextiles and antibiotics as rewards?
Before the patch I did Concorde and SOE missions primary, Concorde is now not an option anymore, but seeing SOE still work I hope there isnt any beef with them as still doing missions for them as its there I got my lvl 3 agents.

I've been working for Six Kin Development and have a lvl 3 agent rating 16, effective rating 32. After castor was applied I got all sorts component drops from her. However since the first major bugfix I have had nothing but synthetic oil and construction blocks. The lvl 2 agent that works in the same station has provided me with a couple of components, but in the last 24 hours he has started giving bonuses of synthetic oil and construction blocks only. 
I've not had a wiff of a skill or implants either. Is this normal?
Rating with the corp is over 4, any my rating with the lvl 3 agent is over 6.

How is it expected of us to keep up with the weekly faction hit of 5%????
I cant believe this, I worked my butt off doing agent missions for days now, all the available time I got for EVE. Standings with corps snails up, I had only ONE important mission that increased my faction standing. And that was for only ONE faction and its allies only.
So to try maintain a good term with all the factions, you need more of these "important" missions in several factions. Talk about being.... I dont have words frankly :(
And it doesnt seem doing agent missions have any impact on your sec rating as it used to before the patch either, as the faction's got Concorde as 0.0... this bites.
Killing rats is a no go to get standings up, doing agent missions is a incredible time sink.
About every aspect of doing things in this game is being stripped away bit for bit.
I want fun with EVE back, EVE isnt fun anylonger :( far from it. This was about the last straw..... its not worth spend time on this game in the state it is now. Sigh :(
Maybe should invest in some other game for xmas holidays because this is just ever-growing frustration piling up...

I was just hit with the 5% reduction-hammer.
Boy was I hit.
I've begun doing missions for a new corp, and new faction for me.
Core Complexion Inc to be exact.
Before 5% reduction: 0.19976
After 5% reduction: 0.16
In my calculator, the new standing after -5% should be 0.189772 but it stands 0.16.
Is the 0.16 value correct? Can you let me in on the mathematical formula if that's the case?

I beefed up the time limit on the bonuses. But I think the problem is mainly that the time bonus does not neccessarily reflect the number of jumps. Due to the random nature of the jump-count, that is something which needs to be looked at.

Is the jump-path random, too? My agents from Umamon/Lonetrek seem to have an obsessive fixation with Aikantoh, which is on the other side of a 110AU jump through skankpit Liukikka.
Is there any chance you can detail the mechanics of standing loss a bit more fully, so we understand the minimum we need to do to prevent it... like:
- When does the 'weekly 5% decay' happen?
- Does it apply equivalently to agent, corp. and faction standings?
- Does a faction know that you've been doing non-important missions for its corps, or must you do Important ones to save your already diminished ratings?

It's not completely random, but fairly random. There are certain criterias that the system uses to detirmine the destination location, but within those criterias there is a random factor. The size of the agents constellation and neighboring constellations (and where the agents constellation is located) can greatly affect the destination location. And the security status sometimes affects it as well, but there is no "guarantee" that your agent won't send you through low secure space.
So in theory, some agents are simply better than others due to their location in the Eve universe, which isn't a bad thing.

After the standing decay hit today, I cannot access my lvl 3 Research agent anymore. I'm wondering was this intentional on ccp's part. Is it a -5% decay on every type of standing (Factional, Corp, and personal)? This lvl 3 agent was my pre-patch lvl 3 agent. Now only a week after patch, I can't use him anymore? Seems all of my work has gone to waste. Also if I can't use his research services anymore, will going to a new agent reset all of my previously earned Research Points? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Now I know how those people who got the big standing loss feel. Oh well.

work for any other agent in that corp you can, your should be able to get it high enough in a few missions. I get between 0.1% and 8% corp increase depending on the mission... All my positive ratings (corp/faction) are still higher than before the patch...
I'm probably going to move out of Lonetrek if I can, my agents have a fixation with getting me killed (again) in Aunenen, doesn't seem to matter which agent/system either...

Just to clarify.. my corp standing with this lvl 3 r&d agent is like 3.7 yesterday.. today it's 3.4 or 3.5 But the big hit I took was that my agent's standing towards me went down... and now I can't use him. I thought ccp said that all of your old lvl 3 agents you can keep with castor. I'm just wondering if that's the case? Or I was overlooked or that is the case for only a few days then yu're on your own to keep that agent. It's kinda hard to keep your lvl 3 agent's personal standing up when you only do a few missins for him a week and it's a 5% hit every week.
BTW, my lvl 3 agent needs corp,personal standing of 4.8 to use him... it was 4.9 something yesterday, and now it's 4.6 how can you increase the standings if you can't use him?

can anyone answer me what agents give out teh skills, i have been doing a lvl 2 admin for lai dai. done over 50 missions now and got nothing but crap, lai dai has a RaD dept but for some reason i cant get a skill, please tell me if i am doing the wrong agent or something. and i hate missions so this is really spoiling the game for me.

Afaik all agents (except R&D) give out research skills. But they are quiate rare, espacialy with lvl 2 agents.

I've gotten 4 Molecular Engineering and 1 Quantum Physics from Level 3 Agents. They are out there, but I wouldn't expect them until Level 3.
My big beef is the standing loss for ignoring a mission. I'm not about to accept something that will get me killed (which even in a Cruiser Lvl 2 missions can do), and declining hits you harder still. Why can't the missions just change after an hour like they used to? I only have one Level 3 agent left, and I'm about to lose him as he just gave me a kill mission. Castor is killing me, as I was a full-time agent flyer, mostly with Amarr and CONCORD.
Give us back CONCORD and allow a non-penalty decline option to cycle agent missions and I'll be happy, though I'd like to be able to raise my empire faction standing again. I've been flying Level 3 missions and I hadn't moved from 2.0 to Amarr. Are the specific corps for Empire faction now and if so, which ones?

The way to get Faction standing now is to complete an "Important" mission. These missions (which are all mining as far as I have seen) provide a big bump to corp stanging and a small bump to Faction standing...nothing else that agents do give you faction love. Since Castor my Main racial standing has improved by a full point so it's just a case of persistence...also try to find a station with a lot of agents..that will give you more options on missions to run. Finally if you are having trouble with the Lv3 kill missions (like the EMmisary one or the 2x35k one) get somebody to help you out. The is no penalty for having somebody else kill the rats.

Same problem, losing state faction even when doing missions. I got a skill book and even a Small Hybrid ammo bp misson, but no "Important" missions. So will I lose my research agent due to the fact that I cant get any "Important" missions? And I havn't failed one yet, not even the 20k rat stoped me and my Merlin.
