Small Version (596KB) Large Version (2.59MB)
I've taken over for updating the latest map. Stars are brightened, hexes are toned down a bit, and fonts have been switched around. I've incorporated the changes in region claims from the last thread. Improving readability and looks, like all maps, will be a constant effort.
What I'd like to hear from you are updates on any current conflicts.
Current known front lines are:
Querious. Razor Alliance holds a station, and the Northern Coalition has been having luck fighting BoB, FIX, and GUN. Xelas has stated these are the only powers involved in the conflict. Detorid, Tenerifis, Omist. The Southern Bloc holds around half the stations. LV has stated they are moving to Stain in the upcoming weeks, but they will stay on the map as long as they still hold stations in these areas. New regions: Lots of fighting in the area, but TNT has been the only one to report. They're currently fighting GUARD for control over 87-1CW and LQ-0QN. More information from both parties would be useful on who's aggressing and how the fight is going.
Here are the details on the map: for conquerable 0.0 space, aggression (arrows) will be put down for active POS sieges in that region. Conflicting sovereignty (see the LV-controlled regions) are shown with multiple colors. Example: the last map showed a front line from the Northern coalition to Xelas/BoB territory in conquerable Fountain space. This was reported to be repelled, so the map indicator is gone. If BoB begins sieging Northern POSes at the same time as the Querious fight, there will be arrows pointing both ways.
For 0.0 NPC space, things are trickier, and all I can really do is take people on their word. If you disagree with what's on the map, tell me in the thread. Please, PLEASE be specific. There were some changes I couldn't make because they amounted to "The aggression on the right side of the map is wrong." Tell me why it's wrong. With the amount of tenants in each major alliance, the in-game sovereignty map can only tell so much, and with the randomly-generated colors, it's very easy to miss an entire alliance in a region with a similar color.
Since I'm asking for everyone else's claims, the regions officially claimed by Goonswarm are Scalding Pass, as well as the new 7-KXBJ region. Ethereal Dawn currently holds sovereignty in most 7-K systems with our blessing. Along with Red Alliance and KOS, we control around half the stations in Tenerifis, Omist, and Detorid. KOS controls most of the western half of Tenerifis.
Anyone is free to argue these claims in this thread, just as they're free to argue anyone else's. We'll see how it all works out in the coming weeks.
Enjoy!

The region held by KA-TET is a little hard to see due to the color used.

Whoa, whoa... TNT is fighting The Guardian Coalition (OWN3D) for control over the 87 region. G.U.A.R.D. (GUARD) isn't involved, and we're certainly not fighting them.
Other wise, neat map!

You need to separate Esoteria and Paragon Soul. They are two different regions that you have grouped into one. ----------

Much nicer than v 1.0. I don't see the need to turn this into another Josh vs. Goon debate. It's quite easy to say that Josh's map represents a more 'strategic' look at EVE while this is a more 'tactical' map like you might see on nightly news reports. I couldn't create either one, so I salute the effort.
As far as accuracy, MC controls one constellation of seven systems (J8-G8K) on the bottom right of Period Basis. We hardly even poke our nose outside our home when we're off contract.
Also, please add MC to the list of entities currently defending Querious. There are a few others as well but they can speak for themselves. -

This is a helpful post. I mean you *could* have specified exactly what was wrong so that the map updater could change it in the next patch, but who wants that I mean seriously

Could you please specify all parties engaging in Feyth and whether you're contesting sov or if you're just rading/warzoning it?

I stated exacty what needed to be fixed in the last map thread. Ingame sovereignty should be very accurate to who claims what. This map has smash where CI are, CI where no one is, pure in RK space, and part of RK in smash space. At least is doesn't say two completely related entities are fighting there like josh's does.

I'm updating the map right now. So far, MC is squished into a corner, Paragon Soul actually exists, the Geminate colors cover the entire region, and the entirety of the new regions are getting an overhaul. It's a nightmare to figure out who actually controls what in Geminate and the new regions area - in the space of one hex, there can be 4+ alliances.
In the one I'm looking at, I have it as Roadkill controlling the lower right, Smash in the lower area, Cruel Intentions in the upper center and The Society in the upper left. Pure's control stops in Vale of the Silent.
Good enough? Any of these tenants of larger alliances?
Edit: This is all packed into the right side of the region, I realize no one controls the left half.

Koroshiya Buntai is contesting sov in northern feyth, Intrepid crossing has sov in eastern feyth. And obviously RA/Goons are in Eastern Feyth

which has already been fixed, stop complaining and send him a mail letting him know whats wrong.
respect to the guys who dont moan over their territory being 2 pixels too small, tbh. there are alliances which dont even request being put on the map. ---

Much improved from the last version and quite useful. I like the hexes for their 'wargame' feel and shifting fronts showings. I like Josh's maps as well, but this isn't too bad.

I am not saying that this map is better or worse then Josh's.
Honestly, good job.
