(disclaimer, I'm nothing official etc. etc.)
But as far as I can tell. There is a non open stated fight between ratel and frege. It's nothing official but frege space get raided by those quite a few time now, but not only by them but also by blood raiders alliance (hello Xaeon !), and astral wolves that I assumed got ****ed by some of our 0.0 access gatecamp. The only thing that distenguished ratal from blood raider alliance and astral wolves is that we go into their space and we had a big fleet battle that ended with 3 carrier losses. And from the looks on the map (16 jump separating JOP Salutes Boudro Station and their homesystems, one carrier/dread jump gap only), I can bet they are gonna be loads of stronthium burnt. But that's crystal ball thinking, right now most of engagement are raid made by either side into their home systems.

Very nice map, i like it, deserves a sticky. But as mentioned above its Guardian Coalition we're attacking not GUARD.

Very good work Kalralahr and Stahlregen.
Corrections:
* Vale of the Silent is split between 3 alliances now-a-days.
* Empire space is controlled by Privateers Alliance (kidding, kidding.)
Constructive criticism:
A) Please mark hexes with NPC sovereignty in some distinctive way (with white borders perhaps.)
B) An animated GIF of the southern regions over time would be very cool.
C) Up to 25% of hexes are covering empty space (no systems underneath.)
* LV's southern territory -- there are only 6 blocks with systems underneath, yet you give em 24 blocks.
* GoonSwarm's northern territory includes a large block between Scalding Pass and 7-KXBJ without underlying systems.
* Red Alliance north of Insmother
* Band of Brothers southwest of Omist.
* etc.

I'd reccomend moving the layers map and mapblur above the alliance hexes. Set mapblur above map, make it visible, 4 px Gaussian blur and set blending mode to linear dodge.
That will improve system visibility a lot.
Also, Increase the opacity of alliance hexes, and create a mask layer to the hex group, then take a soft brush of about 65-100 px and brush black onto the constellations (mask layer ofc).
Will keep constellation visibility high but make the alliance borders more defined.
I'd do it myself but apparently you no longer provide the source .psd file

I accept Curse can't be "claimed" in the same manner as of which the Great Wildlands can't be claimed. But if, as this map is showing, the Curse Alliance is soverign over non-controllable space, then the region of Curse should also be set to either Curse Alliance, TCF or a mix... as it is by no means neutral.

It would be great if you could put the last revision date/time (EVE time) on the map somewhere, either in small print on the bottom, or in the box that summarizes the conflicts.
