Heya goonies again id like to point out that Dusk & Dawn do not own Venal, it is owned 100% under the sovereignty of Gurista Pirates please refrain from giving that region to Dusk & Dawn as you can't claim an npc region regardless of it being 0.0 or not. And to those that will turn around and say 'Fountain is an npc region then' i say to you look at the in game map, Check the Soverignity for Gurista Pirates and Serpentis and the say the above line again.

Much better than previous. I can actually SEE the systems now.As far as I know, its all correct. Does the bit at the top right corner really need to be THAT big though?
If you have noticed this notice then you will notice that this notice should not be noticed.

The top 4 constellations north of Rule of Three is claimed by RZR as a share between us/Morsus Mihi/D2 and Iron. We claim it and administer it. But they are allowed to us it with us. Pls update the map accordingly and thanks for a great service.

M8, I was trying to be supportive and constructive by just clarifying where we live. This is hardly the response I was expecting...
I think you misunderstood.
Nice map btw. But one question - are you gonna upload it with the same filename on updates? I mean in a similar way josh does with his effort.

Really like what you have done with making the hexes more transparent and the outer ring a bit more intense etc.
It's still a bit hard on the eyes, but it makes up with a bit more of detail over the other map. I'm liking it so far. -

How do you define regional aggression??
Take Goon space for example, their space looks peaceful enough, yet over the last month Interdiction has waged a campaign against them in their home, resulting in over 500 ship losses so far for the goonies.
This will continue until our current contract expires.

In the TNT case I believe you are confusing GUARD with the Guardian Coalition in 87-1CW, check with SolApathy for more info. LQ-0QN is under GUARD claim for their constellation and INVICTUS. for the rest of the northern half of the region.

i love this map, but a latest link like the other map will help alot. i don't see anything wrong with the map its self in the design, the correct positions of alliances will be corrected eventually.

Beautiful map, a definite refinement over the last version. A few of the colours are hard to see when they are not near the borders of the regions, Band of Brothers, Tau Ceti, Ratel, TNT. There are a few hexes in the drone regions that I cannot tell if they are coloured or not, they look black but have the hilights and effects on them. They are between XPact and Ka-Tet.
My only critique is that it is sometimes hard to tell where the boundaries between two alliances are. The glowing borders for regions are nice and really stand out. This is probably too difficult to achieve without a lot of work, but would it be possible to do something similar with 2 bordering alliances. Perhaps you can even use different borders to show the nature of the relationship, one for actively hostile, one for neutral, one for friendly. For instance, the Goonswarm/Red Alliance borders would have the friendly border colors, while Red Alliance/LV border would have the hostile colors.
Another suggestion as an alternative to the above idea is to give the alliance areas a border depending on their policies - NBSI would have one type of border, NRDS would have another. Additional policies could include "NBSI, allies please stay out" and "NBSI, allies welcome" and so forth. This would be a lot more work, but it would convey more useful information. I don't know how you have the map setup as far as layers go, but if you have a layer for each alliance you could create a couple of different border/outline style presets and just smack em onto that layer.
Final idea, could you show the NPC factions that have sov? I think that would be an interesting idea, it could be very subdued compared to the alliances |

Quote: Here are the details on the map: for conquerable 0.0 space, aggression (arrows) will be put down for active POS sieges in that region. Conflicting sovereignty (see the LV-controlled regions) are shown with multiple colors. Example: the last map showed a front line from the Northern coalition to Xelas/BoB territory in conquerable Fountain space. This was reported to be repelled, so the map indicator is gone. If BoB begins sieging Northern POSes at the same time as the Querious fight, there will be arrows pointing both ways.
If you'd bothered to read the op you wouldn't have even needed to ask. |
