Jesters Knight Eclipse Enterprises Empire Research	Posted - 2007.03.06 03:19:00 - [1] ECENT has just finished setting up a POS in Piak (a .7 system) for the purposes of allowing mobile lab research. We have now entered an alliance with Kuper Belt Industries (amongst others) in hopes of having ample mobile laboratory slots available. Currently we have 4 mobile labs available for PE and ME usage Copying and invention is avalable when you would like to speak with a GM about getting your gear into and out of the labs (there are some bugs with POSÆs) The way it works is you crate a research alt corp with your researchers in it. Fly them up to piak, and install your BPOÆs into research from the safety of the station. There are several stations available that only cost 10k per month to rent and with you controlling the corporation that you are in you keep up with the blueprints and where they are and so forth, so there is no risk of getting scammed and loosing your hard earned BPO. The reason I am doing this is simple, for profit. There is a 20k / hr fee on the ME slots and a 2,300 / hr fee on the PE slots. This will turn me a small profit at this time and will turn a larger one as we put more mobile labs up. Currently the POS is protected by concord even if we are war-deced so that is a non-issue. What I believe he is not mentioning is that your research alt corp would have to join the alliance. Forgive him, he is low on sleep. But what this means is you do not have to hand your BPO's to someone you don't know to have research done. Aphend has the other alliance POS. It has 33 ME slots and 33 PE slots available for researching. My copy and invention slots are turned off for those outside of my corp since I don't want to talk to GM's regularly. Piak is in Lonetrek. Aphend is in Kador, 3 jumps from Amarr.

Once your research alt corp is a member you will have access to the POSÆs and there respective research labs. And the copy / invention are disabled on mine currently however can be enabled if you want to get buddy-buddy with a GM since you will be the one petitioning for your stuff to go in and out. This will keep you in total control of your BPOÆs and you wont have to risk someone running off with them. There is a fee for this but it depends on several factors. Mostly, I am here to supply the hardware. If you are another researching group you can come and talk with us and you can run the research jobs for other clients using our hardware charging whatever fee you would like and dealing with collateral on a case by case basis. We donÆt have a whole lot of people who can do the research, however we have a good management team that can run the towers and make sure they are available for use. With the bonus that you don't have to risk your BPO's in low sec or 0.0 space. Create an alt on your acct with sufficient skills to start a corp. Give that alt, or another, some lab use skills. Then join your alt corp to our alliance which will give you access to over 50 ME research slots (PE, Copy, and Invention slots available.) If you are a corp with a high sec, or possibly low sec, that has a research POS that you would like to give others access to, this alliance might be perfect for you. If an NPC station takes 1 hour for a job a POS lab will do it in 45 minutes. Then your skills make it faster.

Then your skills make it faster. Indeed, thus I was correct? At 75% of the speed, a 1 hour job would take 33.333...% longer(1 hour 20 minutes).

This is correct, payment to the POS owner comes from teh corporation wallet of the installer, its quite amusing looking at my corp wallet when one of our guys installs a job, we are paied and then charged the same ammount.
