Kassidus Gallente Hidden Agenda Deep Space Engineering	Posted - 2007.03.08 13:19:00 - [1] When I started this game it was on a whim I half assed my avatar and have always disliked it, but when walking in stations is released will we get a redoo for our Avatars , cause that lone would be simply fantastic. So any ideas ?

Yes but this expansion is at least a couple years away. 2 at least i would say. I recently changed my avatar and i would hate to have to go through that again. 5-6 times i got it the way I wanted it, only to get a "disconnected from server" once I klicked the "create" button. Bugged the hell out of me.

Last time I did a 'portrait swap' (because I wanted a different background) it took me almost an hour to get a new portrait that matched (facially) my original... While I love the whole walking in station thing please dont force us to have to redesign our faces if we are happy with the ones we already have. There is no way to make a male Achura look natural, they simply look crap, especially the nose. Needless to say I picked the char for the stats and if it was possible I would gladly hide him under a hood! Dude, it's not going to be possible... The whole creation mechanism will be different... Different underlying model, different morphing, different lighting... You can't keep the old one, nor will you be able to get it to look exactly the same... It's like trying to make a Quake 4 model identical to an old Quake 2 model in facial structure, just not possible from looking at that vid... CCP please make everyone else's Intakis look different from mine in the new character design wotsit? - If you go into your options menu, there's a difficulty slider. Put that all the way over to the easiest setting and you'll be fine.

I think it has been stated somewhere that since the system will be different, you will have to redesign your avatar from the ground up, including the face, since the current values and variables aren't compatible with the new ones. My CHA is 25 and INT 25. Whats yours? Pictures never show the actual presentation of any RL person. Why would we not have a different Avatar and keep our forum and chat channel portrait the same.
