I ran eve at 3360*1050 when I got my 2nd 21' lcd. I found having the 2nd monitor for other stuff was better.

Out of curiosity, I don't like the resolution limit with the triplehead2go. Is two video cards with dual outputs the way to go for higher res three monitors? Can it be two video cards with single outputs, but a splitter on one?
I'd like to purchase 3x 1600x1200 20".
this is starting to get out of podish.

Cant say that I like it at all. All that screen space may be nice but the distortion looks like crap.
I would rather have one normal size good looking screen than 3 distorted pictures of ass.

no, eve supports 3840X1024 , FOV is increased by about 40% at a guess and the rest is stretched, but all the chat/info boxes are at correct aspect ratio for width, only ship/space is stretched a tad
and VGA connectors on my system show a decent piccy , DVI not needed though the extra clarity would be nice, but as one who bought this on it's release I had no choice and it hasn't affected me
Wrong EVE does NOT adjust the FOV. I've bug reported it many times in the past and it never even gets a mention.
BTW, yes I run a TH2G and love it, even with the crappy FOV distortion.

PS: Yeah I know my character sucks :)
So do your curtains
Until they give eve proper multi monitor support, I think I prefer this setup to be honest... think that size is a bit extreme, but just a big widescreen monitor at a high resolution.
It would be such a pain having to keep glancing a foot away just to see whats on, and click on the overview.
I suppose just the ability to move the overview would fix that tho .. devs
From a usability point of view, the only real need for a second monitor is somewhere to put chat windows. Doesnt even need to render the environment, just a black screen would do.

Good boy.
Until then I am quite happy with my current dual setup allowing me to play like this.

Shame they can't narrow the border of the monitors. Having an inch of silver would annoy me. I'd keep worrying there were cov-ops hiding behind it.

Im actually tempted to buy it... dont tempt me!
But it would really make Eve look a lot better. That annoying overview takes up so much space, it would be lovely to get more free space on the screen by using 2-3 screens.

Edited by: Chuck Dexter on 11/08/2007 21:56:48 Hi,
i bought the same setup. A "Matrox Triple Head 2 Go (Analog)" and 3 19" TFT Displays with 2 NVidia Geeforce 6800 GT in SLI Mode. But i have the problem that the "Matrox surround gaming software SGU" said, that eve-online is supported, but cannot optimized in the software. So the followingway is displayed:
'HOW TO' configuration info for:
'EVE - Online'
Start the game. Once the main screen appears press the ESC key. Click on the GRAPHICS tab. Click on the down arrow beside ADAPTER RESOLUTION. Choose 1 of the 4 Triple Head resolution 1920x480, 2400x600, 3072x768, 3840x1024.
So i start the Eve Client in FULLSCREEN-Mode, but the 4 possible Triple Head resolutions 1920x480, 2400x600, 3072x768, 3840x1024 are NOT displayed. When i change in "Windows-Mode" and click the "Adapter Resolution" button again there comes up the 3840x1024 resolution. I click on it and Eve changed the resolution in the correct 3 Display "Windows-Mode" on the three TFT's. But i want to play Eve in the Full-Screen Mode. So my question is, how to manage it?
Anyone here with this TripleHead2Go Setup who can explain me exactly how i have to do it? Or can i run this setup really only in the Eve "Window-Mode"???
Thank you very much for the help. Greetings Chuck

Oh come on thats totally unrealistic!
Wheres the empty bear cans, the greasy glasses. The cat hair all over the keyboard; the A3 printouts of Eve regions; the piles of other paperwork; pens scattered around. Dust! Nobody keeps their desk that tidy.
