Doesn't that bother you by the way? The EVE economy is almost entierly player-driven with player-made stuff. Injecting ships out of nowhere is fine when they have a way to be usefull without filling too much of a niche, like the Gnosis.

But here, you have a destroyer that's clearly more unique in its stats (especially its ability to tank, but also it's ability to probe which is completely new for a destroyer)... It fills a niche, and this niche is entierly made of CCP-spawned items.

I just find that weird for a sandbox. It's not the end of the world or anything, but it feels out of place.

-> Increase bandwith to 25 mbit and bay to 50
-> increase speed to about 250
-> reduce intertia, that ship has the same algin time as a ceptor

-> would it also be possibile to make a small balance pass to the gnosis? This ship is fairly slow and algins faster than most frigs(give it about 150 speed and increse algin time to 8 sec, like most other BC's), also increasing the dps bonus to 50%(like all the other BC's would be great)

heh, really? you may as well drop the addition of combat scanner probe strength bonus if you're not adding a bonus to reduce CPU on probe launchers. theres no reason to have it on if all you can do is warp to a player and die cause u cant fit anything else on your ship.

This is a valid concern.

We expect that the bonus will primarily be used for core probe launchers. However bonuses to one tend to apply to both and we don't see the need to make an exception for this case. The Astero is in a similar situation and that worked out fine.

Personally I like the slot layout and the drones I just think the defense is lacking. Base stats should be 1000 shield/armor/hull giving it a 1250 across the board after skills. Being much more tanky gives it a role somewhere between tier one and tier two dessies. It also makes sense if you break it down from the Gnosis and fill in the rest of the SoCT line if it is decided to fill out the line (and you should, me wants a 7/7/7 BS)

Gnosis: 6/6/6 and base 4000 S/A/H, 5000 after skills
*future cruiser: 5/5/5 base 2000 S/A/H, 2500 after skills
Sunesis: 4/4/4 and base 1000 S/A/H, 1250 after skills
*future frigate: 3/3/3/ base 500 S/A/H, 675 after skills

**future BS: 7/7/7 base 8000 S/A/H, 10000 after skills

Defense doubling from the previous ship as you scale up the line from frigate to battleship, much like you add one to every slot as you scale up.
logical progression and allows for good defense yet lacking projection as the hallmark of the SoCT line.
