*NEWSFLASH*
The leading Minmatar terrorist corporation Oracle has returned to Empire space following a period building up its forces in 0.0
Earlier this evening I received the following message from Wren of Oracle:
Quote:
"Mr. Hardin of PIE,
Oracle will be increasing our activities in Empire space in the coming weeks. With the emergance of mixed fleets, and the current level of both our companies, Oracle feels that the current ROE needs to be modified. We will still honor the no podkill rule, as well as the return of items lost in battle, if the same is promised for our pilots.
However, we would like to allow the use of warp scrambers and disruptors, as well as the pursuit of damaged vessels. If you could send out a Corp EVE-Mail to notify your pilots, I will do the same.
As always, honor and respect,
Wren."
Shortly after this communication was received a fleet of loyal Amarr pilots intercepted a mixed Minmatar fleet consisting of a number of Oracle and People's Front of Minmatar Pilots.
In the ensuing engagement in Yulai approximately 8 Minmatar cruisers (+ around four frigates) were lost to the PIE fleet in a decisive victory for the Amarr forces.
Sadly one PIE cruiser was destroyed by sentry guns and two frigates were lost to enemy action, neverthless this was a decisive victory against known Minmatar terrorists.

No realy sure about 8 Cruisers but a great victory for the PFM. Once more RODJ Blake ship was shot down , "thank you ", making it the second time this week that PFM members shoot him down. By the way "hey Rodj like your new ship".
And by the way Terror look¦s nice in a Rupture.

All these are confirmed kills Al Haquis, and you would have been the 9th if you would have stood and fought me in stead of warping away all those times...
But I must admit you did look nice in your rupture, burning as it was...
A great day for our fleet, but we remain vigilant, for there are still terrorists outthere.

Al Haquis - a great victory for PFOM? Surely you mean PIE?
We believe that approx. 12 PFOM/Oracle ships were lost in total. Maybe one or two up or down on that figure!
This is what we lost:
JohnnyAlpha - Frig Gaius Kador - Frig Rodj Blake - Frig K'alorn Font'a - Cruiser - To sentry's
May the Emperor praise them!

Im afraid I have to correct your intel a slight bit, sir. I did not loose a frigate, even though that PFOM in his Rupture had ample time to get me while my Executor class buzzed him at 500m. Not easy to hit a target moving at over 2km a sec ;)
He did get Rodj in his Inquisitor class, before he ran. How that can be of any comfort in lieu of the disaster which struck them after is beyond me. I guess you take what you can get.
We got the intel we wanted from that initial skirmish though, and the results are here for all to see. ----------------------------------------------

I must congratulate PIE for once again prooving their valour in battle by defeating the aggresors from curse! Your prowness in battle gets my respect even if your enemies are nothing but a rag-tag bunch of minmatar fools.

Cruisers? What happened to the battleships? Is this the major buildup in 0.0 space? More like a major culling and remnants of fleets thanks to the decimation caused the sudden and devastating revigoration of the Angel Cartel. Or is it that everyone is so poor now that everyone is just back to frigates and cruisers now (thanks to the bloody massed battleship massacres caused by the resurgence of Sansha, Angels, Serpentis, Bloods and Gurista forces).

And to answer your question, Slithereen, we fought in frigates, evidently cunningly disguised as cruisers, because it's fun.
Rest assured, the Oracle battleship fleet is fully operational and numerous. I think we've lost two battleships to Angels in the early days, which we've since replaced.

Well how interesting this has been these last few days.
Targetta's Aramageddon gets taken down after running from a small taskforce in Klingt Saturday evening. This followed the destruction of another Pie Inc Pilot's ship the night before. I am advised that our joint operations with Oracle of Sunday evening resulted in several Pie Ships being destroyed.
Now had we lost anything bigger than a cruiser over the last few days to Pie I would be thinking that we'd at least drawn even. However I think that the loss of the Capital sized ship alone to the few cruisers we lost is hardly a decisive victory Hardin. That Oracle members may have lost a fair few ships tonight is not reflective of our own performance. Hence I must agree with Brother Haquis. This has been a good few days for the tally as far as our Pie treasure trove is concerned.
Just for the record and so as to not cause any confusion here in battles where we are involved at the same time as Oracle. We will podkill pilots in corps at war with us. We do not under normal combat circumstances return equipment unless there is a clear justification for this.
Glad to see that Oracle are returning to the fray again in empire space.

Edited by: Makkar on 22/12/2003 03:59:12 Viqer, in truth I think we lost two ships in that fight. one may have been a cruiser, but the other was most definitely a frigate.
It was an honour and a privilege to fight alongside such dedicated, professional, and franky hilarious pilots. I daresay we'll be in touch.
Hardin, when you're confirming kills, if multiple ships fire on and kill another, they don't get a confirmed kill each...

Edited by: Jovin Ketils on 22/12/2003 04:23:09 Let me start out and extend my congratulations to Pie on your decisive blow against Oracle and the TPFM! May your future encounters with these rebels be even more successful.
Oracle's flight from Curse to their perceived safety in Empire space, was undoubtedly caused by their heavy losses in skirmishes against the various regional factions. The hermetic life and lack of vitoc there in Curse has further diminished their ailing strength and cognitive abilities. I may need to establish a support program, as these poor free thinking slaves are in no shape to put up a decent fight against the forces of Pie Inc.
PS: SHAAG is still accepting applicants, as we have three slots left to fill. Please contact Jovin Ketils via eve-mail or the other establised communication channels.

Lemme take a stab at this.
*NEWSFLASH*
Earlier this evening, Oracle killed 400 hundred gajillion cruisers belonging to PIE Inc. It was an extra ordinary event that we can't prove but if we post it on the boards people will just assume it to be true and get on with their life. YAY US!
Man, I can see why Amarr get addicted to this. It's surprisingly easy and fun! ------------------------------------------- If you kill them, they will die!

Edited by: Makkar on 22/12/2003 04:56:24 Hippey, I think Isiana's actually closest to the truth when she said
Quote: The Enemy were decimated,
Decimated, of course, means every tenth man was killed. there were, what, nine of us in the gang? Ten, at the most?
One kill out of the ten of us is much closer than eight cruisers. Oh dear me...

Tsk tsk Makkar,
your deduction of Isiana's post is only to a third correct (hmmm... maybe due to lack of socialization training by a competent master?). Anyway:
Dec-i-mat-ed: tr.v. 1.To destroy or kill a large part of (a group). 2. (Usage Problem): a. To inflict great destruction or damage on: The fawns decimated my rose bushes. b. To reduce markedly in amount: a profligate heir who decimated his trust fund. 3. To select by lot and kill one in every ten of.
Love, Jovin

Very good, Jovin. You've found a dictionary. The amount of damage inflicted on our fleet during that engagement remains the same, however - Minimal, and vastly exaggerated by our Mr Hardin.
And who can blame him? He's got a propaganda war to fight.
You may rest assured, as much damage was inflicted upon the PIE fleet as was upon us in this minor skirmish. He can say what he likes, but the truth remains the same. The words on this forum are of very little consequence. The real fight's in space.

Edited by: Wren on 22/12/2003 07:23:31 I lost a Vigil, yet managed to slip out and get into a Stabber, and I know we lost a Rifter, however, I also believe our two cruisers we entered the fight with survived to fight another day.
It was a minor battle to determine response speeds and threat indication from PIE. Nothing more. If it was a major offensive, it would have lasted longer than 30 minutes. --------------------------------------------------

/emote shrugs.
Eh, I guess we had spare ships of the same make at nearby stations then, since I flew home with a couple of Caracals. As I said, it was just a test, rest assured we will adjust our tactics accordingly.
Also, we might have to find drastically less popluated areas to fight in, because my video drone feeds were unresponsive and sluggish, almost to the point of freeze frame quality. However, I make no excuses, you had superior tonnage and voltage, and the field was indeed PIE's. Good fight, savor it well, for the taste is fleeting. --------------------------------------------------
