Right, so I'm sitting in EVE and watching Star Wars out of sheer boredom when myself as well of some others in EVE started chatting about bringing the millennium falcon into an Eve context. This is what boredom and a lil bit of work will get you.
And don't get all nerdy/technical and argue that we did something wrong. We were just goofing off. lol

Can anyone say *QUAD LASER CANNONS*? Definately partly Amarrian. And given the Falcon's continuous mechanical problems and rigged up nature, Matari sounds about right as well.

The guns in star wars arent actually lasers. They are railguns.
(Thats what G. Lucas said in making of star wars documentary at least)

translated into EVE terms the Milleium Falcon is actually a Blockade Runnner rigged to hell and back.
So it should have a larger cargo bay and +2 warp core stability, and its rigs and slot layout would be similar to a nano ship.
So it should really have:
2 250mm railguns
2 dual 150mm railguns
1 Heavy Missle Launcher
10mn MWD
2 Large Shield Extenders
ECM- Multi
Overdrives and Nanos
(He wouldn't have any cap mods because all Solo cares about is getting the heck out of dodge)
Speed rig, agility rig, Shield capacity rig
All faction/officer mods of course
Sigs are overrated. |

Umm... Why do you have it listed as a "Cruiser"? The Millenium Falcon is a Correlian CARGO ship. Yes, Han and Chewy modded the hell out of it and made it a formidable war machine for it's size, but it's still not a cruiser-class ship. As one of the earlier posters stated, it's proper classification would be "Blockade runner" or perhaps "Heavy blockade runner" to denote the extra firepower it can bring to bear.
Basically it's a fast combat cargo ship.
Oh, and yes it would be Caldari, not Minmatar. Just look at the design: Flat blocky surfaces, and a grey color scheme. Also, the Correlians are a corporate/business driven people. Basically the Star Wars universe version of Caldarians. (or is that the other way around?)

That makes me think. If the Caldari = the Correlians, how would the other races fit into the Star Wars universe Re: Their overall ship design ethos and cultural comparisons?
Let's see....
Caldari = Correlians
Gallente = Calamarians
Amarr = The Naboo as far as ship design (ship bling) but Empire for culture.
Minmatar = .... Not sure really. Perhaps the Nal-Hutta for ship-design, but the Wookies for culture.
Anyone else wanna geek-out and give it a shot?

Shield Tanks (caldari / minmatar)
Hello, the M. Falcon is Khanid  Amarr/Caldari
But Minmatar kinda fits with all the "modifications" Han made.

it uses lazors so "should be" amarian
it a "falcon" so sounds caldari
its a PvP ship so should be Gallente
its definatly cool so MUST be matari.
BTW im sure its also got the ability to cyno too. If Cyno's showed the warp tunnel it would look alot like hyperspace*
* please dont mention Dune and the folding of space theory :/

I'll agree its hull is probably Caldari, and maybe so's Han, but he's surely used more than just one Minmatar rig on it.

1) ALL SHIPS in the Star Wars universe use Laser Cannons (lasers) or "Ion Cannons" (Star Wars terminology for large railguns that do a form of EM damage). So the weapon similarities have to go right out the window, or every ship in the Star Wars universe could be claimed by the Amarr or Gallente. That's a red herring and not useful for comparison.
2) Rigs (IE: Custom modifications ala Han and Chewie's work on the MM) are available on every ship type and class across every race in EVE. Like weapon types in the Star Wars universe, they are a homogeneous norm to ONE fantasy universe, and also not useful for comparison. Another red herring.
3) Shield Tank: The Millenium Falcon is not known for it's particular shield tank ability. Or perhaps you forget:
Luke - "What's that flashing?"
Han - "Don't touch that kid. That's our rear deflector failing. Strap yourselves in, this is gonna get a little rough!"
Sounds to me like the MM had kinda crappy shields.
Really, the things that made the MM stand out were it's VERY high speed, it's agility, and it's overall ability to take and deal damage far more than the average Correlian cargo ship.
From a comparison standpoint, the only useful features are overall design and cultural comparisons. All else is an apples-oranges comparison.

It also has two concussion missle launchers fitted (4 missiles each) and a concealed Taim & Bak anti-personnel repeating blaster, but otherwise very nice.

Very nice indeed, only one problem for me is that now I want to reactivate my SWG account so I can fly my own version of the Millenium Falcon from the pilot seat, with the added bonus of actually being able to walk around inside it and repair various systems when they get damaged in combat.
