Actually, instead of shading various cooperating entities, why not just draw a territory line around them in a contrasting color. This way you could show cooperating and overlapping interests. If you are at all interested in keeping track of naps and cooperative ventures of course :)

Nobody owns Catch.
IAC owns the JZV constellation and the station systems AAA own some of the plexes IAC is the dominant force in the rest of Catch but we don't claim it and afaik AAA don't either.
Edit; IAC is part of the Southern Coalition, not sure all the others listed on map are tho Rule of Three, POS and the ex-ASCN ones aren't in channels at any rate

Looks good JF and please continue to make your map, the influence map is so ugly and useless we need yours.

Like the aditions to the map, I would love to see the blocs be in one and the same color/stripping/etc. Makes it a bit more clear.
Keep up the good work.
p.s. The influence map only shows poses and stations, not who claims a certain region. So this map is needed.

Nah intrepid crossing consists of Dragons Rage and AWE (ex-ASCN) and now ATION, as bob invaded, the two corps their at the time decided to take bobs offer, instead of loosing the station and being sent back to empire. After which the newly formed Intrepid Crossing decided to join the coalition and once again fight bob
Hope that explains it m8

Please note hte disclaimer in the original post, i should prolly also point out that Cloud Ring was never meant to be marked Bob space, it simply a shade of blue which relates to the 2nd paragraph in the OP. I missed the alliance label though.
But, JOSH..... That would require reading! You know how that subject goes around here. _______________________________________________

He's using In Game years rather than RL years. Basically it's 109 years since they standardized time so it's the year 109, which corresponds to 2007 in RL.

Joshua, your graphical sense is great - the map is very visually clear and appealing. Not so sure about the content - but thought you'd appreciate some like.. non-hat responses.
How about including ship/pod kills on the map too? Mega-deaths per region/constellation would be nice... but I guess you'd need ccp help to get the data.

It probably isn't practical, given that the map is only updated every 2 or three weeks or so.
For the automatic map this would be a cool feature though. -----

The thing that I always enjoyed about your maps was how clean they were. No station markers, no attack move markers. Just crisp alliance boarders and the occasionial war marker. I say play to your niche, the automap already has station markers, and assault markers are simply unessary as far as im concerned (We already can see the direction of conflicts with the warzone box). The Powerblock chart is a nice addition and and its the only one worth keeping in my opinion. It a politcal map, not a factual map, play to your forte and leave the blunt ugly facts to the automap. ---

depending on how he gets his data, a "conflict map" might be pretty easy to make.
