I don't think what you’re doing is a bad thing but when you let your political opinions color your responses it's obvious to all (that are not biased) that your map can't be completely trusted. Maybe as a general "political" map or one that shows regular hot spots but definitely not one that shows what the reality in the game truly is.
For that I will continue to use the newer and less "tainted" influence map. It at least is based on who really owns what in the EVE universe. It may not be as ‘clean’ as yours is or as simple to understand but it’s more accurate over all and once you understand that it’s a truer representation of the messy universe of EVE then you can see how it is merely reflecting that.
I appreciate the work you’ve done and I think you should keep it up and I will probably use it to compare / contrast with the influence map. Besides, competition is a good thing. I'm sure you will agree.

Joshua a word about GW unofficially: There is no CA presence there... well above nominal randoms. There is definately no war between COW and CA there. The Foundation guys are still around but they are our chums as you might now. Numbers wise it is mainly AWAR and RIOT living in GW. We are different alliances but just about. No reason for war marker, no reason for control markers or any marker at all.
If you have to do something call us pirates and put a pirate infestation sign over it...
This post is unofficial so strictly against rules for this threads... but you know that when I tell you something about GW usually a rush of official posts follows and in the end same result as suggested initially... perhaps we can skip that this time?

Hey nice work on making all the Major blocks visible using the same color, but maybe you can seperate bob and pets more?
