Level 4 missions is where the cash is at, thought to do those you need to be in a Battleship with some decent skills and decent gear, however grinding level 3 missions can get you there.
Or you could find a 0.0 corp/alliance and do the rats there for lots of money, thats how i did it :) -- |

The start is always slow in Eve, but if as a solo player you want to be than you need to work your way up to lvl 4 missions where it is common to get 40 million from missions without salvaging. Such missions are World Collide, Angel Extra, Guristas Extra and a few others. Of course I include taking most of the loot to reach the 40 million figure but with the correct ship and skills you are talking at most 2 hours so you will be making 20 million an hour.

I'd die before making 70 mil from L2 missions. You had the right idea buying a Drake and going up to L3. If you want some actual excitement, move into lowsec. You can still do missions there, it's not instant death, and you can even try PVP when you get bored.

You really need to get to Level 4s, or ninja-rat in some dead part of 0.0.
Don't do Lvl 3s, seriously. 2 weeks in Lvl3s will get you 100-150mil. 2 weeks of hardcore Lvl 4ing will earn you 2-2.5bil.
But you have to be HARDCORE!!!

You pop over to shattered crystal and purchase some GTCs. Then visit the sell order forum and advertise your newly purchaced GTCs. Then log in and wait for the ISKies to appear in your wallet.
Much easier than doing missions.

Well, There are lots of ways to make money... some folks will share with you, such as running missions, others folks will only reference vaguely because the fewer people that know about it the better for them.
Mission running is the one way of making ISK that most people will answer pretty much any question you ask (as long as you're not asking a question easily found using the Search box up in the top right of the webpage). When it comes to mission running, the level 1, 2 and 3 missions only purpose is to raise your standings with the corp in question high enough to be able to run level 4 missions... level 4 is where the money is at.
When it comes to picking a corp that you're going to run missions for, check your current standings. You might consider picking a corp that you already have the highest standings with, although there are reasons you might not want to do that, too.
Ultimately you need to decide what division within a corp you want to be running missions for. For example, if you want combat related missions then you're going to want to run missions for command or security (among other) divisions. You'll want to check the agents available for the corp you're considering running missions for to see if they 1) have divisions that offer the types of missions you want and 2) have level 4 agents (preferably high quality ones) in that division.
Another consideration is whether or not the corp you're going to work for provides all the services you're looking for. This is a trap I fell into many months ago. I wanted to get to the point where I could use level 4 research agents in hopes of winning the tech II lottery, so I worked for Creodron. I got my standings up high enough and then started thinking about wanting to install a jump clone, too... but low-and-behold , Creodron doesn't have any stations with a medical facility, so my high standings with them wouldn't allow me to do a jump clone with them.
I ended up changing the corp I was running missions for and started doing Caldari Navy (despite the fact that I'm Gallente... I know, I know... "Traitor!"). I happen to do a lot of trading, mainly out of Jita 4-4, so raising my Caldari Navy standings not only will give me access to a corp that has medical services (I'm almost close enough in my faction), but it would also have the side-benefit of reducing my broker fee costs and refining costs.
In other words... try to take a long term view of what you want out of the corp, beyond just the loot from doing level 4 missions.
As for actual mission running, a Drake is fine for level 3 missions... you just have to outfit it appropriately and be training the proper skills. If you check out the Ships & Modules forum you'll find tons of suggest Drake setups and from those you can easily figure out which skills you might be missing. I think the Drake has a small drone bay? If it does, be sure to train up a bit in drones so you can field some drones... every extra little bit of damage you can do will help.
When it comes to level 4 missions, you'll probably want to do them in a BS (you might be able to do them in a Drake but they'd be pretty slow, I suspect), and since it sounds like you're a Caldari that'll probably be a Raven that you'll use. The most important thing I can suggest, since you'll probably be spending almost all of your bank account on the raven plus fittings, is to fit as good a tank as you can and be ready to run away. You do not want that Raven going boom before you've had a chance to run 3 or 4 missions in it and made back enough ISK to cover buying a new one. :)
As for other ways to make ISK, there are: - Scamming: Definitely not recommended, but it works. - Manufacturing: Build ships, modules, etc., and sell them for profit. - Trading: Buy stuff in one place cheap and move it somewhere else that you can sell it for more.
Good luck :) Wred ----- Think out of the box, consider passive shield tanking your Myrmidon, you'll be pleasantly surprised! |

In my first few months I made a lot of ISK moving things into and out of low sec. It has risks of course, but you'd be surprised how much ISK you can haul with a frigate. -AS |

I grind L3s. I don't have the shield tanking to deal with L4s, nor do I have the DPS output. The skills are coming along. I can do L3 Blockades, Extravaganzas and the big stuff solo, which keep me in parts pieces, and ammunition well enough.
A few more weeks, really. I'm also a four month veteran, I've done a few runs through low sec, and a trio of runs into 0.0, with a one in three success rate (not something I do very often). I do pretty well, I think. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels and filesize of 24000 bytes -Timmeh ([email protected]) |

I've been playing since late 2005, and I don't think I've ever had more than 150 mill or so in my wallet. Some people are born isk-magnets (usually because they grind away 23/7 and don't spend much), while others of us only play this game for the expensive bits, and struggle to keep themselves in the black ("ooh, shiny battleship!" *goes out PvPing* "WTB: new BS").
The only Uber Rich people are usually T2 BPO owners, and thats a club thats almost impossible to get into. Other than that, the only options are: missions, ratting, piracy, manufacturing, trading, mining or exploration. Pick whichever one you enjoy most --------

3 or 4? L4 is more lucrative than L3 but it's not that lucrative. Raven but fittings is probably around 200mil (more for faction/T2 gear) and I'd estimate 15 to 20 L4 missions before you've earned that. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

damn 4 month old complaining about only having had 70 millions tops :S The game has changed alot since I was a 4 month old character.
But if you want money then move to a good lvl 3 agent and then move to a lvl 4 agent, the money and Loyalty Points get much better and once you are at lvl 4 you can get 100m a week by casual playing, if you grind then you can get even more.
But move quickly to lvl 3 from lvl 2 :)
EDIT: oh and train those Social skills if you are going to be doing missions, it changes alot.
