Firstly, I'd be interested to know what you did to this guy that made him so ****** off at you.
Secondly, I had extremely limited patience with you even before you said "I don't want to move" and then it was all turned into negative patience so the cause and effect train was completely reversed and the past altered to make me angry with you before I even knew about you. Thus, your whinging broke the space-time continuum.
All you have to do to fix both the universe's problem and your own is swallow your pride and move system. If you're getting owned all over the system by one guy then you either have to achieve nothing in that place or slightly less elsewhere. Big boohoo, people have to make the same tradeoff all over 0.0 every day.

No, it is not harrassment. It is PvP. That said, cloaks are totally out of control and way way way too many ships are using them these days.

Harassment? Hah...
I once petitioned a GM to ask if I was allowed to pod someone ten times for a contract. He said yes.
So someone taking pot shots at you in 0.0 is certainly not harassment.

Move system or set a trap for him with your friends. Kill him once or twice and he'll move onto easier prey. If you're a solo player, suck it up and move on out if you can't handle it. There's no reason you can't counter him. 0.0 isn't safe. Get over it.

He has found a nice farming spot and don't want to mess up it by killing frigates. Your T2 fitted Raven gives alot of cash to him. His merely "ratting" there on his own way.

Simple advice - if you feel offended by something that happens purely within the ingame context of the eve universe, you dont have the stomach to play the GM game (a game with "mindcrime") anyway, even if you manage to corrupt eve (even more) into a "i petition!" game.
The warning you got is the perfect example of how trying to pervert the system for your own benefit usually backfires as the other side has the better griefers ...

Few thoughts came to me when I saw this post: - I know Aaron from the past and I know that he can make enemies VERY fast - players are getting softer and softer, all they do now is petitioning. You've lost a ship? Not a problem, petition it. You've got a wardec, petition it as a harassment. Soon we will lose leadership to cockroaches. - censoring regular English words is a sign of our softness. The end is coming.
PS. While sitting in a*****pit of S******dly command ship captain tried to ***** a*****roach with ****ography magazine.

The real problem is that he is cloaked and most likely afk some of the time... I would really like if you have not been given any commands for 30-60 minutes your cloak would deactivate with the following message:
"Your ship cloak have been disabled by a violent snorring - bio sensors indicate decrease in heart rythm." - I'm a nice guy!! and OMG I love Team Tuxford for the speedbalancing... |

Just what I wanted to ask.
You know, if you don't want to be "pvped" either go to hisec or play wow?
Otherwise, NPC stations are pretty good too in 0.0.

This is not harassment, its honorable. Whoever he/she is, is protecting the the innocent belt NPCs from a murderous rampage of a carebear. And if Aaron is a miner, well, mining is hardly environmentally friendly. And even if you don't agree with the roleplaying reasons, consider that fact that isk inflation is rampant!
Aaron must be destroyed, if nothing but for the good of Eve and everyone else's wallet. Think of the poor noobs who can't buy mods because things are too expensive.

I take it the combat recon that you are talking about is a falcon as it sounds like he is jamming you constantly and is able to break lock and warp away before you destroy his ship.
ECCM Upgrade * 3
or whatever the equivalent for your ship type. If he can't jam you he's going down.
Think outside the box a little.
And its not really harassment as you could move along. By staying you are consenting to the fight tbh. -------------------------------- So.... |

Edited by: Neuromandis on 23/04/2007 11:35:00 Edited by: Neuromandis on 23/04/2007 11:34:08 I cannot say if it is or is not harrassment, but it sounds just a trifle too hardcore (if indeed the guy is only playing to kill YOU, it certainly IS harrassment, no matter how good a target you are. But is he? Are you alone in the system or is it just the system he frequently terrorises?) Anyways, I don't know either you or him or his reasons. I don't care too. What I do know is this.
If you have half-decent skills and the "full" complement of T1 ships up to battleships, I cannot think of a recon, combat or force, that is unkillable. Especially if you scan him and know a specific setup.
Just - Frigging - Kill him. Recons are very good ships, but just like all one- or two- trick ponies, they die fast if counter-fitted. Elaboration: Caldari recons: 2x or 3x ECCM. Watch him get to shreds by anything, as he won't be able to get a single cycle of jam in. Use EM damage. Gallente recons: 2x or 3x sensor boosters. MWD mandatory to close the gap and scramble him as he has a bonus to scrambling range. Watch him get painfully popped. Try lots of kinds of damage, explosive is probably best followed by (ugh) em. Amarr recons: Passive tank to be nosproof. Missiles are your friend to avoid TD. Thermal is a good bet, followed by em. Minmatarr recons: The only difficult case due to the difficulty of first catching and then holding him to get scrambling on. Jamming or dampening would help with breaking the web. MWD in his face, double-web and kill him. Explosive or kinetic damage.
This is neither the only nor the best way, but I am trying to tell you that things may not be as bleak as they look, after all a recon kill can be as profitable as 1-4 hours of ratting.

You are clearly being griefed by the recon pilot.
You are being forced to adapt when you don't wish to conform to Darwinian models, which is awfully wrong of him to force you to do in such an unchanging game like this.
By fitting modules to counter and defeat him, you will be forced to drop your midslot tank, meaning you can't tank the triple neph spawn that keeps you in the system in the first place, this will deny you your income of some 20 million or so per hour.
Not only should you petition him for griefing, you should file a lawsuit for reimbursement of the lost isk and the medical insurance costs for your haemeroids that are flaring up because of this whole dastardly occurance.

however in your case, i'd try this:
1x battleship 1x micro warp drive 1x T2 webbers 1x scram All remaining mids filled with T2 or best named sensor boosters (Edit: or ECCM, dident see it was caldari) All low's filled with 1600mm plates. 1x gang Lots of friends next-door with excessive amounts of firepower -

I call it ^^^^ bs. If the guy scammed me ingame, killed my hauler full of zydrine, smacked me in local etc. I have full right to go and kill him as many times as I want. In this case it's even more obvious because: - it's 0.0 so he agreed to take risk - he keeps coming to system when he dies so it's his choice Aaron has no balls to fight. He never had. He also has no idea how to fit ships (shield and armor tanked Megathron anyone?). Not even after quite a long time of playing EvE.

If this is just some guy enjoying 0.0 for what it is, then you can adapt or die.
If this is a personal vendetta, you've got grounds for a petition.
For those who want to argue this point, understand, if this guy is specifically singling this person out for whatever reason, then whether what he's doing is right in terms of game mechanics becomes irrelevent. You can play by the rules and still be wrong if what's motivating you to act is wrong.
Stalking, cyberstalking, whatever, is just plain wrong. The EVE system allows for very ruthless gameplay, which is fine, but because 0.0 is outside the nominal rule of CONCORD doesn't grant anyone license to play out their psychofantasies without restraint.

So now we cannot do everything because someone said they do not enjoy themselves? That would cause removal of wardec. This is perfectly fine. It does not even exploit faulty game mechanics.
