Hmm.. yes.. extremely fast wealth. I gained enough minerals to build 13 Apocs in a single trade.. nothing lost on my end.

You know, real life scams are very immoral and bad. I mean, you're playing with people's LIVES when you do it IRL. Like this guy I had to write about one time who scammed the Social Security Administration out of $750,000. That's BAD. Ditto with the people who hold themselves out as business consultants to recent immigrants but actually have absolutely no qualifications.
They are scammers, and they are awful horrible people. They ruin people's lives and make us lawyers get involved. Which is always bad. However...

THIS IS A GAME! When you scam somebody in this game, it doesn't affect (or shouldn't affect) their real life at all! IT IS A GODDAMN GAME! Why else would it be legit to "roleplay" a mass murderer or a thieving pirate, or a ... wait ... scammer? Because IT IS A GAME!
OMG people seriously...
Though when poor game mechanics are used to scam people they generally are fixed pretty quick ... I would expect a fix for the inspect goods window is forthcoming.
Oh ya and one other thing .. I was scammed one time. I paid a $250,000 downpayment for a science lab way back when, and the guy never opened up the lab he said he was selling. Smelled like a scam to me, and by golly, it was a scam. I was half expecting it though, just really wanted that lab. Heh, and anyway I made like 10x the profit when I found out they were freeing up all the labs and factories by selling all the ones I had before anyone else knew... lol. Like 15M for my factories and 20M for my labs...lol..

The only reason why you and your ilk still have accounts is because CCP is entirely inept and unwilling to do anything about players that exploit their unfinished shell of a game. I think if a scam was possible in a real life eve universe then its okay to do it.
Would it be possible if you were at a terminal in a station looking to buy a bp that you would forget to check whether the licence had expired, unlikely because the terminal would probably display all the info without you having to learn to drag the window out but still possible.
Would it be possible to turn up to a ship hanger and buy a Maller renamed as a Dominix. Probably not because you would know instantly by size and shape etc, maybe possible if you were blind.
Would it be possible to pick up a 100,000,000,000 ton ship and switch it quickly while your buyer wasn't looking, definitely not.
I figure if it would be impossible to do in real life then its an exploit of bad game mechanics and nothing else, otherwise its fine.

How long does it take someone in a cruiser mining/hunting to get the needed isk for an apoc?, for them to have to be ripped off for all their isk and wasted RL time. Do you seriously think that they shouldn't get mad?
People get upset with ingame scams beacause it DOES effect their real life, it took that person along time in RL to accquire thier isk ingame. The isk just didn't appear in their wallet, they have to spend RL time ingame to earn it.

This BP scam is just low. It's an exploit--abusing a factor of the game mechanics to win an unfair advantage.
This is the same guy that has been extracting all the textures and market data and everything, right? Devs should just ban him. Enough, already.

Obviously deceit is part of the arena of play, including scams, corp theft, moles, and sabotage (Though this last is something that hasn't surfaced yet - probably waiting til POS's are more than just Secure Cans).
The -only- problem I have with the scams is the escrow fields are flinking FULL of them, some subtle, most blatantly obvious. Scams? Morelike Spams!
I did laugh at someone's feeble attempt at "TECH II PODS, DON'T MISS THIS ONE", but the lameness can only amuse so long, wading through, opening, resizing, etc, over and over again to find a legitimate ... er ... yeah, legitimate attempt at business.
These 'Confessions of a Scam Artist', while amusing, may end up flooding the bloody thing with wanna be scam artists inspired to jump on Ganja's quick-isk wagon, further diluting the usefullness of the interface.

Apologies if I 'brought it up', but for some reason it was at top post on the General Forum when I replied to it.
Don't ask me why. I certainly didn't go digging for it.
As to the dates, normally I check at a glance at the date, but I'm used to mm/dd/yy, not dd/mm/yy where I'm located. This early in the year, a simple "2004" has been sufficient to avoid the weird spate of 'ressurrected' posts. Plus, this isn't -that- old.

I got sick of seeing Ganjas scam bps being on the forum so asked the GMs... they replied
removed the GM response -Eris Discordia
Now it's right that the information is there but to get it is very close to the click that claims the escrow... To my mind there should be a confirmation dialog like when you put an escrow up yourself.
I still think Ganja is beneath contempt for this as the only people he will scam is those who don't know much about the game and hence are "noobs" who we should help and not **** them off enough to want to quit EVE.

You are not permitted to publicize any private correspondence (including petitions) received from any of the aforementioned.
Seems clear enough to me. The link to that is called Rules, which also makes sense

Oh I could care less if people knew my intentions, though I doubt 90% have no clue.
The escrows were up there to teach people - yes, I did nip a few people (i think.. 5 total?) so I made 40m isk. Big woop.. not alot.
Shall I refund? Hell no, a lesson learned is a lesson learned.
Regardless if you choose to believe me, I did what I did for more then the wrong reasons, check the post morkt made in the market, I thanked him for posting about it (its the sticky).
Like Lian said, I'm a good guy.. just someone who needs money. You can check and see - there aren't any of MY escrows besides my real ones on the market, because no one has bought a 0run in quite some time, which is a good sign.
BTW - I have 5 Apocalypse ME10 1run's in Pator on Escrow (yes, they are real).

I only just realised I was posting with my alt... but it was me...
What I posted was some information that would have reduced uneccessary petitions but because of the silly rules of this damn game I cant even tell you what it was... so now everyone who petitions about this exploit will get the same info I did so why they hell censor it?
This is going to be the last time I attempt to help CCP because every bloody time I try to help I get crap thrown in my face.
I'm just dissapointed that CCP feel that they need to censor stuff like this. They must have one hell of a inferiority complex about this game.
