I've been witnessing this for several months now and the cherry on the top was several days ago when a certain alliance jumped 2 wyverns versus my carrier . And I've been dieing over and over and over again to 15+ people camps/blobs/roaming parties (when we usualy have max 5). This however doesn't bother me because I have the resources to keep coming back. What it does bother me and in the end will be my goodbye to eve pvp is that ccp is nerfing everything that can give smaller groups a chance to fight the big alliances. Don't be surprised if months for now you won't be able to cloak in systems with soverignity.

Most of the time i'm not even logged in.. i log in for maybe 30 minutes to an hour.. purley because when i do log in i'm either surrounded by more pilots than i can handle.. or i can't be assed to undock just to lose my ships. Eve is imba in the favour of multiple ships.. and ccp keep pushing it this way.. it's said in all their blogs. " we want more and more fleet warefare" But when you're not in a giant 20-50 man fleet things are just retarded. I used to pilot a pilgrim alot.. i gave it up because i wanted to pilot something alot bigger. But why should i have to resort to hiding to get a half decent fight. And as for the complaint about me being a gate camper... in actualy fact i camp gates alone most of the time if i do camp.. but today our local jumped up by 5 so we warped to the gate.. and engaged to have a good battle. There has not been one single PvP game where 'soloists', and I use the term lightly, don't complain about being overrun by superior numbers. It happens all the time and noone seems to learn, you hear all this crap about honour and such but the vast majority of people will take favorable odds, even if it is only in numbers, to getting their rear kicked anyday. If you are playing a game where thousands of other people you have to expect larger groups of opponents at all times. I love solo/small group tactics but unfortunately if that is your prefered playstyle then you have to seek fights and yes hide many times, it is a fact of MMORPG gaming so live with it. While my char is far from advanced enough to do much solo in EVE I lost count of the times in DAoC where I would find a one vs. one fight only to get jammed up the arse by a full group plus. For all you small group/soloists out there, get over yourselves, you are not the only people that play this game and your style of play is only 'better' in your mind and if you can't accept that then I think you need to find a new genre of games because I can't see PvP in MMORPG's changing anytime soon. People in general need to learn that there are no rules in open PvP and no matter what you consider honorable or fun or whatever there will always be people who disagree and don't give a d#$&ed about your game morals and if you expect everyone to follow your own personal rules then you will never find a game. ...

There are no good battles anymore. they baited you. you took the bait. They used a valid tactic, after which you complained there are no tactics in EVE. /me shrug. Not sure what you want. If you engage on a gate without a scout on the other side, the only side lacking tactics is your side. Not even worth my time playing anymore.. skillpoints makes nothing differnce.. i have trained and played for near enough 4 years now and it's not worth it.. what makes it even worse.. once our 4 ships had been raped the foe then decided to jump in 2 carriers just to rub it in our faces.. finishing off our raven and abaddon pilots against 2 abaddons, 2 carriers. Eve is the blob, the bullying tactic.. and it brings out the worst in people.. " i dont need to make a point i just have to get enough people to laugh". There is no skill in this game anymore.. as you can never get a good 1v1 fight. Yeah i am a bit angry and a bit ed at losing my hyperion but that is reason enough. Now this.. was the icing on the cake.. got my enyo out and decided to engage a blackbird.. at a station.. fair does managed to get it into structure before leaving, then 15 minutes later just as my timer ends i warp back to the station just to get the famous " eve pc freeze up" where nothing works and eve completley es up my computer.. then my enyo pops from the sentrys.. after my timer is up. NOQ is not as big as it used to be, and most members have families and full time jobs. Every now and then we get a good night, with lots on, and with most having a few hours to commit to an op. I announce the op, and tell people to 'X' up if they want in. lets say, 20 people 'X' up. do I tell them, sorry, only half/quarter can come, else we either wont get kills (everyone runs when we come into system) or we have to bait, and thats not fair? No, we form up all that want to come. We split the gang for baiting, scouting purposes if we have the numbers, we send in 1 person to scout ahead, and scan down ratters before piling the gang in. We might camp a gate or two on the way, we dont stay there long. and often we get out numbered as well. When you run in 0.0, you are running with the big fish, and when you come across the big fish, you either have to be prepared, or you die. When you come across a fish bigger then you, hes not gonna let you go. It really has very little to do with bullying, at least for the common, roaming gang. Im sure some of the alliance warfare is like that tho, but we were not talking about that. You have to be prepared for anything that might come along. You cant warp to the gate with battleships with no assistance or scouts, they are slow and vulnerable, as you found out. When you send in bait, it has to be believable. If one BS came in, and actively started trying to engage you, would you engage? I wouldn't, its fairly obvious. The enemy did a good bait job, they prolly had some intel, knew your numbers, and baited you with a reasonable force that could be expected to not be bait. Either you were in their space, and they wanted you out, or you were in your space, and they wanted it. Or they don't like you. So whats the problem? If your team of four can all train up to a titan, you will never lose. Interval dd's and officer smartbombs. I would only use my officer smartbombs to gank noob pilots coming through gate. If they send something semi-nasty like a sniping battleship fleet, just use one of your dd's. If they jump in a big dread fleet you will probabaly need 3 titan dd's. Save the other one for safety, I mean who engages without a back up plan. Who wants to write their own suicide, NOT ME! And worst comes to worst you can just jump out of there. Tista follow my guide and you will be the best pvper ever!

Sometimes you're the bug... sometimes you're the windshield... what if you'd had rails instead of blasters and had sniped while a friendly dictor played aggression games with them on the gate? you might have gotten more kills and lived to not whine about it. Cap ships suck... but the rest of eve is fine... and i'd rarely fly a bs in such a small group. Mobility is king... unless they have cap support. Your superior SP is rewarded... had their been only 10 of them with 5-10mil SP you should have wiped the floor with them... even though outnumbered. They might have been out to get you but if you were travelling, I highly doubt it... they were probably patrolling around or on the move when their scout spotted you jumping in so they hit you and kept moving... I used to hate that when I was in a tiny alliance trying to stay alive in 0.0 but when you're in the group of 20 you just say gf and keep going... hardly remember the fight at all. So if you're going to quit, i'd love a 30mil sp char. But i'm sure you'll come back to eve sooner or later.
