Good fight lads. I had a great time & frankly fights like this are the reason I bought eve. Respect to all involved.

Well it was loads of fun and yes my tempestb made it to the end of the battle 14.5% armor and 15.4% structure my shield booster finally decided to work and got my shield back up long enough.

must have been a cool fight. i am just pointing out one minor mistake. this is the second longest fight in eve. Cruse Alliance/Stain Alliance had a massive 30 vs 30 that lasted for over 10 hours. (not constant fighting obviously but still bigger than this). Just a little info :)

Amazing Simply an amazing fight.
I think not only was this the longest battle in Eve, but this one could also be considered the EVE version of the battle of jutland.
Great sportsmanship on both sides and NO smacktalk.
Definately a hats off to those whom fought and those of us and them whom galiantly died.
Our Numbers of losses was 4: 2 bs and 2 cruisers.
I think the NVA lost 2-3 BattleShips and multiple cruisers, and one indy i belive, he dissapeared off my screen after 2 salvos of cruise missiles. Must have used over 530 missiles and a giant number of torps.
I think this battle was the first and only time both sides just ran out of cruise missiles and ammunition.
Again VERY VERY VERY much respect to all parties involved, if only we could keep local and feelings this clean more often.
Note: This is prolly the 1st and only post that both sides are plainly and clearly honoring each other, lets not mess it up with the usual smack talk and rhetoric. And if you werent there A.)you missed a historic battle from the sheer amount of ammo used, sheer amount of missiles and torps in flight, and sheer brutal feirocity. B.)Both sides simply must give props, I dont think either side can really claim victory, or if they can both sides were victorious. Point is simple VERY honorable and very valiant pilots on both sides.

Great battle, was nice for it to actually finally happen. I was in ec from the start (hours before the battle began) and it seemed like it was never going to happen, and then Havocide almost got my kestrel before the battle actually started. I know I lost 2 kestrels and 1 indy (yup, that was me) but i also know i ran out of missiles once and got a bunch of cruise missiles off again before i got popped the second time. Hats off to KIA, without you guys it would have never happened, and also hats off to epa and gang for sticking it out long enough to get our forces amassed. My first large fleet battle and although i can claim no kills, im quite happy with the outcome (3 deaths, no poddings, got missiles on falzone, havocide and a couple of others). Hope to do it again in the near future.

Yeah, if we had known it was over - a few of us (galavet, myself and a couple of others for sure) had either node drops or ctd's after we had died so when we came back in we werent in gang chat anymore, so nobody let us know.....we went in blind (when i lost my indy) - but still a ton of fun, aside from sitting in ec for 3 hours trying to round up forces.......good job on your part Hupa for sticking it out while we rounded up pilots :)

Dont forget the 1 Tundragon fighter that was there!! ME!! Sure i lost my BB, but i took out a frigate and a cruiser and then had time to go get a new cruiser 10 jumps away and come back for the last wave!! WOOT!
It was a very cool battle, at one point i stopped and looked around and in every direction there were ships! and Thousands (literally) of missles/torps
RESPECT TO ALL INVOLVED!!

Well, when NVA forces jumped into ec, there were 17 pilots in local and we had 26 jump in..the numbers fluctuated throughout the battle, but around 45-50 ships, and i couldnt even estimate on missiles and drones....but an absolutely insane amount of both. Lag and fps suffered, but not *too* badly, although it was definately noticeable. I was still able to lock, fire, reload, fire, reload etc., without it taking any longer than it should have normally, so id say overall it wasnt bad. Of course, some people said it was very laggy on their end, but i was ok.

I did experiance some lag but i think it fluctuated a lot on your computer, some people ctd and some had very minimal lag. You could still lock and fire and such but it did seem to take a couple seconds longer in these actions. And at one point you could not see any missles at all, although there where plenty of them out there!!

Sorry to **** on your fire but i do believe the longest and biggest battle still belongs to stain/curse where we had over 100 ships fighting for nearly 2 hours :)

Edited by: Sandokan on 04/01/2004 11:20:36 Congrats on your fight, who ever won or lost. Just like to say there was a bigger fight last night in Catch region, CA - SA war, about 70 up to 100 ships been involved there. 3 GMs were monitoring the battle. So biggest battles are still in the SA-CA wars
And nice to see no flamings between the parts involved in your war. Keep it up this way, respect
