We obviously have a different view on Piracy. To Veto Corp, piracy isn't sitting on a gate ganking everything that comes through before it even has a chance to respond.
To us, Piracy is about ransoming people and when you ransom people, your reputation counts. It's about profiting from people regardless of killing them or not, although sometimes it helps for the unpersuasive ones.
Many of our members don't match sheer number of kills, but every one of them make up for it with the kit they can afford from hundreds in some cases thousands of sucessful ransoms where the... "customers" are released after payment.
Reputation spreads when more and more people realise that they can trust us to release them after payment, and not just sit on a gate blowing the crap out of everything that uncloaks.
Since I started pirating, two years ago I've made at a rough check 795 kills. The amount of ransoms I've sucessfully tendered I've lost count of. I gave up when I reached 3200 or so.
You pride yourself on the number of people you gank, we pride ourselves on the number of ransoms we take, and our corp's reputation to be trusted to our word.
We play the game from two different angles, each to his own.
As for our achievements, People knowing our name, people knowing to trust us and people knowing that they'll be released after ransom is the only thing that matters to us.

INFOD it would be for me not many other pirate corps can field such huge gangs when theres a proper call to arms, and when youve been caught in a infod gate camps with carriers you see how good they are.
And Klepto of course most of my old MAFIA buddies are in there before MAFIa folded because of skywalker prefering to go solo for a while
Oh yer and Octobersnow never seen such effective small gang gate camps like Octobersnow does atm
But hey thats my opinion

after starting as a pirate, i tried anti-pirating and all i saw was whiners and beotces trying to camp a gate.. soon as something that didn have cargo expanders in lowslots or they didn have 4to1 gang ratio, they punk out
there are no real pirates left...think the remaining pioneers are in endgame with hodet

Villians are no more I'm afraid but thankfully some lovely chaps from Infestation merged our remaining 3 hardcore members into their yarring eye-patched ranks, we are now happily taking ganking applications in Sujarento and are swelling our ever expanding jewelled treasure chest with lovely gold encrusted tech 2 gear from any ships who pass our way

Thats your opinion, I have my own. If you are bragging about being the best low sec Pirate Corp and your sec stat is -1.3, I have a hard time taking it seriously.

Most of the wow players have the same idea. Just read the 'omfg they are not real pirates they kill without ransom' threads in crime and punishment.

That would depend on how you define 'best'. If you ask this question on the forums then a lot of people will come up with names of players/corps that forum ***** the most. It's more about forum reputation and forum fame than it is about actual skill in many (but not all) of these answers.
KLEPTO is rapidly expanding in strength and numbers. I have no doubt that it is fast becoming one of the most effective pirate corps in EVE.
Personally, I have respect for any one, or any corp that plays EVE for what it is, a game, and those that don't take it, or themselves too seriously.
I realise, I've not yet answered the original question, that is because I can't really think of any pirate corps that have gained my respect. I judge and remember individuals rather than entire corps.

I'd always assumed Veto were (whisper it!) roleplaying, whilst yer old mates in OctoberSnow were power gam0rz. they're worlds apart.

That having been said, I do concur.
INFOD is the most skilled bunch of phoes I've ever had the pleasure of flying with. The gate camping is nothing more than a parenthesis in the chapter of Eve life they are writing for themselves. Their field commanders and their aggressive use of capitals makes them what they are. Killers. Stone-cold killers.
While I'm not the right one to say who's the best with so many fine outfits outthere, I think The Movement deserves mention in this thread. Experts at small gang warfare, hit'n run-style (although there's not really any reason for running when everything lies dead before you) - and from what I hear, they are equally lethal in employing capitals as well.

That is how you do killing in low sec. No other way.
30 Battleship blobs sitting on a high sec gate is also how you spread hatred. Belt piracy, ransoming? For what reason? Kill them and you have a slight chance for fan-post, what is there else to achieve?

we have won a fight againt pretty much every old school pirate corp in the game, we have beaten BOB in fair BS fights, we have beaten m0o does those wins make us better than them all?.... its the fights over time numnuts. giving ratios after 1 fight makes u look dumb, especially when u had more ships than us and a carrier support . it was more of a ganking of 3 bs and 2 cruisers, even at that u still lost TWO battleships and the third was only saved by ur carrier while it was into structure.

I could not agree with you more mate, anything you do in this game means jack-**** in the outside world, so i log in, kill as many peeps as i can, and talk about all kinds of **** on vent.
Basicly i see eve as a digital social club, nothing more or less.
And i'm sorry, but roleplaying in my book is another word for paranoid squizophrenia, lol
