A good majority of eves population has turned into greifers and scammers, and immature children. There are a lot of good people, but for me the bad outweighs the good. I am sick of the underhanded pvpers using cheap tricks I am sick of Being SmackTalked in Local when you chose not to fight because the Enemy outnumbers you and you have no chance of winning I am sick of trying to be scammed (yes I know the irony in that) Im sick of being killed and instead of someone saying good fight, they laugh at me and say how much im a NOOB and suck. Im sick of people needed 10+ people next to them holding there hand to PVP There is No HONOR left in the game, its all about greifing people at this point. I shouldn't have to work my butt off for a good ship then lose it to nasty people whose whole intentions are to grief other people for there own sick pleasure than be smacked in local on top of it. I am officially after 4 years 100% Burnt out. I will be canceling my subscription within the next 10 minutes. As for my stuff, Tough sh17, its going down with the ship I will be waiting for a game that comes out with a more mature population.

This morning I solo in RQH and a Falcon (160km out), Vagabond, Rifter and another frig come at me I run and I get smacked by all of them, I don't know about the rest of you but sometimes being smack talked by a bunch of people upsets me. I was in a curse btw, then a few jumps north I someone offers me a 1 vs 1. He says warp to the complex beacon. I was not paying full attention to the name of the beacon, it was a cyno at a hostile POS. My curse insta pops and he starts smacking me in local how im a pathetic noob. Is anyone at all familiar with Cyber Bullying? Its harassmenton on numerous levels and as I understanbd its illegal, yet CCP lets people do it in the Form of Smacktalking with zero repercussions as long as someone doesn't threaten or curse. Putting someone down seems to be OK with CCP.

In 3+ years of Eve I haven't once been suicide ganked. I haven't once been scammed. I generally ignore (and often find amusing) smacktalk in local. Admittedly I've been annoyed by underhand tactics in pvp every now and then, but you win some you lose some. But if you're determined to quit, you won't be missed tbh. Yet another person who responds to s**t happening with a melodramatic "I quit" thread on the forums.

Only a chicken** outfit of low sec gankers from Hydra Alliance ever said anything ****** in local. Heck, an ENH pilot gave me friendly rant complaining about me jumping into an asteroid belt full of NPC rats that made his attack more annoying than it had to be, and an Outbreak pilot sent me an email explaining a detail about warp bubbles that was confusing to me (that despite there being an overview setting for them, they actually don't show up and can't be targeted). Hell, even Goonswarm didn't smack when they jumped me... The lesson's been pretty clear. The longer I stick in 0.0, the more I like the Alliances that work there. Most of the sewer rats seem to have clumped in low sec.

Take a break like some sane people (I think there's a few of them left playing, mostly we stick to high sec and not Jita) have suggested. If you don't feel that way, throw a few isk my way. If not, try a better game where people aren't jerks and the game is designed around them. Should be a few coming out soon.

But quite possibly this is not the game for you. I don't want CCP to bring out the ban stick everytime someone trys to hurt my itty bitty feelings. Let them smacktalk, it's harmless. Remember: someone cannot hurt your feelings without your consent. This is EVE. It's part of the landscape. If I didn't want to hear smacktalk or profanity or whatever, I would be playing EQ2. Today it's just gank for ganks sake and it is boorish. Post gank used to include if not "GF", at least some intelligent, somewhat witty stealth smack. Today it's "duh bwahaha n00b!" and it is also boorish. Players that have been around for a few years understand what it meant to find a game where the average intelligence was well above average in the gaming world, and how badly it sucks to have it reduced to CS in Space. Getting ganked is one thing. Wasting time on idiots with nothing better to do is quite another All of the counters to the OP's post apply, but doesn't change the fact that there are now more *******s in EVE than ever and it reduces the experience for everyone, including the legitimate, purpose driven pirates and anarchists that bring with them some IC context, other than going from tutorial---> turd. However, the difference with eve is that you can war dec them and shoot them if you don't like them. Or find them in 0.0/low sec and shoot them. Smack talk is a sporting feature. If people are made angry by words alone (let alone pew pewing their spaceship pixels) then they have won the chat channel pvp. The trick here is to not care what people say. In fact a large proportion of what you have described centres around alliances. Some of the worst smacktalk I've ever seen in the game has come from young alliances. Smacktalk should be funny if it's to be done at all (though that would require wit). There really needs to be a campaign to remove the rude/impolite smacktalking players from 0.0, or give them lessons on how to be funny.
