Also the ctrl + scroll thing is a killer losing especialy because of how long it takes to load the map even with the "quickest loading setting"

I didn't know there was a map. Sounds insanely useful though. F11 is too laggy and it always bugs the display.

It was nice once, but when you need it quicker than 10 seconds...

You can turn the effects off in the options of the map. However It would be also good to set destinations in the autopilot without opening the whole map

You can do that, actually. Type the name of your destination in a chat window (don't press enter). Then select it-> right click -> link solarsystem. Then right-click on the link, "set destination" or "set waypoint".
To remove the destination or waypoints, right click on the hyperlink and "remove ...".
Hope that helps.
I try to make do without the map as much as possible (such as using Ombey's 2d maps), but sometimes you just need to plan that long trade route or that roundabout by the camped gate.
