Bear with me as i am horrible at math and im not sure how to calculate dps.
Cormarant
7x 150mm II's w/ spike vs 7 x 125mm II's w/ spike + 1 MFS II
What deals more dps if skills are equal
*note i know to fit the 150's i need an mapc so no MFS with that

Well just add it up looking at ship stats. I use a corm with 7x 150 IIs and I prefer it to the 125s with a MFS. The slightly longer optimal really helps once its pumped through all the ship bonuses and spike s.

Well with spike its irrelvant, but when I load AM and go close its hardly any worse.

Use biggest you can fit.
I don't think you can fit 150s on a cormarent unless you put a power mod in your low slot.. and 125s + damage mod in low slot = more dps than 150s with power mod.
So in your specific case.. 125s.

I myself prefer the 125 for the fitting req and the tracking speed.
If you have to use a RCU to fit a rack of 150, or you can fit a mag stab with a rack of 125. Then you'd be better with the 125 to be honest.

125mm + damage mod > 150mm without damage mod
This is for dps, but if range is important too you (pure sniper fit) then 150mm is the better choice imho.
