it all depends on thier rate of growth.
if they stay mostly closed to new members they will over stretch their player base. and if they can take over all of 0.0 then eve is dead and there are not enough players to make it worth playing.
if they grow a lot they have a chance, then again they could always fall apart then. or if they have lots of willing slaves.

BoB are mobsters running a protection racket.

There is a reason the groups of players in this game are called Corporations ;-)
BoB is just like any REAL large corporation, but in Eve, you get to blow em up, rather then have some sort of law to keep their power from becoming overwhelming. This is part of the game. If you dont like em, then dont join them.
I believe my Alliance is part of "The Alliance" (I dunno, I just joined em, and havent seen any BoB guys yet), but my views arent based on this.

why hate BoB just because they are doing things right
look at BoB and learn from them
they have an alliance that is working togeather for a goal
thay understand the game and how it works and what is needed to get somewhere in this game
if everyone put thier enthusiasm in to playing the game instead of moaning then they may do better

I was about to abandon this thread since it degenerated to BoB fanboi/haters discussion forum what we will and wont be able to do. First: How in the name of god, can you compare a alliance which griefs in empire, all noobs/alliance noobs/noob alliances/noob corps to Band of Brothers?? Second: How in the name of god do you think they would be able to nerf something that is just as any other alliance in game, without actually nerfing everysingle alliance in game in the process.
Third: If they would do a nerf that nerfs BoB in particular, how do you think that would be done, since I cannot see a 1 way to do it, so that it would only affect Band of Brothers.

Actually not everyone other alliance has had tech II bpo's from CCP, or a dev leading their capship fleet.

Im new to this game, less then a month infact - but is it safe to assume that BoB are a huge corp (with a ton of followers) that will kick my tush just for flying around in 0.0 space they have claimed.
Means I have lots to look forward too! 
Who are thier biggest rivals?

actually, alot of BoB's 0.0 is pretty empty, i flew through it for the first time last night to get to my new home in 0.0 (dont worry, Im supposed to be there)
youd probably be okay finding a nice out of the way empty BoB space and ratting or mining there.
However, once local lights up with a BoB member, warp to an SS and chat with em a bit. BoB rents out their space to smaller corps (they provide the protection) and im sure with a little ISK they MIGHT let you slide once or twice.
If they dont, I suggest leaving, because they WILL find you, and they WILL kill you

BoB will never take over everything. They will be too stretched making them weak. And if by some miricle it does happen, it will simply mean my closest targets will be from BoB rather than Hydra.
Perhaps their gatecamps will be more organised and their members more interesting to shoot at.
But probably not
Anyway, they will implode before they get close....besides....most people dont care, and why people insist on opening these random BoB threads is beyond me!
